This skating rink is beautiful. The ice was fantastic and the staff were very helpful. The free skating was with rental was about $13. Not bad at all. We went during summer it was pretty empty which was nice. The only problem was the condition of the rental skates. They were just not sharp and it was hard for my daughter to use them. The staff was great and tried to help with different skates. They don't have a sharpener on site so the gentleman working there found a tool and sharpen my daughter's rental skates for her. It made a big difference and changed the outcome of the day from sadness to joy! Go for it! read more

We spent a day here for a series of games and it's not the greatest rink. It appears that the Flyers have divested themselves and that it will now be known as the Atlantic City Skate Zone, at least through some time in 2023. The sign on the building is down and all that is left is the sign at the street. As a Rangers fan, it's hard for me to support anything connected with the Flyers, but my friend had a hockey tournament here. It's a standard rink with a small store for your equipment needs. There is a parking lot, so you don't have to worry about circling around the block for a space. It's conveniently located just outside the hustle and bustle of AC and very easily accessible if you take the Expressway to Exit 2 (Ventnor/Margate). Staff was friendly and there was plenty of bleacher seating for me and my friend's crazy family. They offer public skate as well if you feel like unleashing your inner Gretzky. It was, however, one of the smelliest rinks I've ever been to. If you know anything about hockey, you know that hockey bags can kill with their awful smells, and you deal with it. But this one was exceptionally displeasing; even my friend's parents (who've been with him to all his tourneys since he was little) commented on it. The refs kicked our parents out of the rink for cheering us on, they then shut down the game for a penalty the ice is also horrible. I do not recommend this rink. If I could rate it a zero I would. read more

Pretty nice rink. Really close the atlantic city. I came every once in a while to public skate. Decent turnout on the Friday Saturday. The place need some tlc it is not that old of a building buy showing alot of signs of wear. It's convenient because it's close. read more

I'm from California on vacation. First if all the pro shop what a joke. Maybe " amateur shop" went to check out gloves. They had 10 pairs of Easton 13". Didn't know 13 was the only size needed to stock. Secondly I tried to go to a public skate at 915 in the morning. I got there at 845 at about 9:05. The crabby old lady running the counter said I can take your money now " do you have exact change or do I need to make change. I was like I Only have a card. She told me they only accepted card for over 20 dollars( which I did not see on there website or counter anywhere. She then told me to go to rite aid to get cash back. Really wanting to skate on my vacation. I went over there. At 9 they could not give me 10 dollars cash back as the skate cost 6(I got a lot more frustration than satisfaction from this visit on my vacation). I went back to rink and she said sorry. If the owner of the rink reads this. " get new staff you have nice facility but your staff if out if date and out of touch." read more

good ice. The facility isn't the cleanest but they play music during hockey session. I showed up a couple months ago with my gear for hockey and the racist front desk lady told me how I was wayyy early for the public skating session. Really?? I had my stick and bag with me. SMH read more

Service is terrible no one too help out when you come in. Their just standing around doing nothing.

My family lives nearby and does not participate in hockey leagues. We go there frequently for the public skate. The rental skates need a good sharpening, but other than that, it's not bad. What else is there to do with young ones with a lot of energy? This gives us a great day of excercise and it's close to home. The cost isn't too expensive either. If you're in town for whatever reason, it's a good time to skate. (except if you're the other commentor from California who really needs to lighten up!) read more

I visited the Atlantic City Flyers Skate Zone on Nov. 30th with my husband and 4 year old daughter, it was her first time skating. My husband took my daughter on the ice and I sat in the stands. After she went around the rink once I decided to pay for an admission for myself so I could help hold her up on the ice. I went out and paid cash ($11 total for the pass and the skate rental), as soon as the woman closed the register drawer and handed me my receipt my husband came out with my daughter because she didn't want to skate any longer. I turned back to the cashier (because I was literally still at the counter) and asked if I could get my money back for myself. She said that the rink didn't offer refunds. I asked if I could speak with a manager, so she left and asked the manager but came back with two passes for a future visit. But when I asked my daughter about coming back she said no. So I asked again to speak with the manager. He came out and spoke with me, he proceeded to tell me that a no refunds policy is standard for the corporation that runs the rink. However, I saw no signs at the cashier window or at the rink that stated all sales are final. After we got home I checked the http://www.flyersskatezone.com and wasn't able to find anything there either about no refunds being a policy. The manager again gave me the two passes for a future visit. I explained that it seemed like my daughter didn't have any interest in coming back, and I wasn't trying to get a refund for my husband or daughter as they did skate, I was just trying to get my money back for myself since I hadn't even left the cashier window when my husband and daughter came out of the rink area to tell me she was all done. In the end I took the two passes, but given that my daughter ended up not being too interested in the skating experience and that the passes expire on Jan. 1st I don't think we'll have a chance to use them. If no refunds is a policy of the facility it should be stated in a clear manner near the cashier window or listed on the website somewhere that's easy to find. I wrote an email to both the VP of Rink Management and the Director of Rink Operations. Neither could be bothered to reply. I'm really surprised they manage to stay in business. Even if my daughter did want to skate again, I won't be going back here. read more

This rink needs to be evaluated by a certified health inspector. First time ever visiting a constantly used rink because of the lack of places in South Jersey. Let me start at the top of my check list. 1. Outside is completely faded and the parking lot is not up to date on painted parking spaces. 2. The entrance does not promote a clean and up to par visual effect. The smell of mold and mildew is not good to go, the check-in booth needs re configured and remove the old dented aluminum base board surrounding it. 3. Please just remove the skate zone pro shop. Walked inside and was not greeted by two guys sitting in chairs, with a DOG, nor was I asked for any assistance. The selection of equipment was a joke. Nothing for Junior or Senior Goalies, that's a no no. The carpet is stained and DUST present on a section of sticks and jerseys. It's just overall disgusting when comparing it to the other skate zones I visited in Philadelphia, Vorhees and Pensauken. If available, I will be contacting these places to be notified of who to contact to get this resolved. The health, dignity and respect of the public should be upheld to the highest standards, not allowing a place like this to be open. read more
