These is one of those pubs that you have to try if you are visiting Houston because they have plenty of good dark beer options. The place itself is very cozy and relaxing and the staff are very friendly. Just a little advice if you are driving park your car in a parking lot or if you park on the street make sure you to read the signs carefully . That way you can avoid having a bad experience like I did.

What a unique and quirky spot in the theater district! 200 beers on tap! There is a food menu, but hey this place is about the beer. Sign up, taste 200 beers, and become immortalized! Trivia on Tuesdays. Additional seating upstairs. Fun for beer and trivia.

Such a fun establishment! This cute spot is a tap house located in downtown Houston with all types of draft beers/drinks and yummy comfort food. The drinks were wonderful (especially the hazy IPAs and stouts). I also noticed that they always have deals/specials going which is nice. I love the saucers displayed around the restaurant. Our waitress was super helpful on what to get. The buffalo drumstick wings were delicious and the cheese friend were the best cheese fries we've ever had. I can't wait to come back!

I had honestly forgotten that there is a Flying Saucer in Houston. After being downtown to catch a show at the hobby center we decided to walk a few blocks and have a nightcap The interior is deceptively massive. Everything looked clean, the lighting was more or less intimate, and we were there late so, there was more than enough seating We were greeted by a server who asked what we wanted almost immediately. Flying Saucer boasts dozens upon dozens of different beers from around the world, and we needed a minute. We asked if we could take a seat and look at the menu and she sort of rolled her eyes and talked back to us. Maybe it was a misunderstanding because she was relatively nice the rest of the night, but that initial interaction really rubbed us the wrong way While the FS is a lot of fun, I prefer more theme or dive bars, and there are so many other ones in this area to choose from. I would definitely consider checking out the Bad News Bar Some tips: Flying Saucer has a beer tour if you want something to work towards. Ask your server how to get started. If you don't like beer they actually have non beer options, just ask. Parking isn't great but there are some parking garages in the area. I would recommend using a ride share just to be safe. They also do trivia every Tuesday evening - play, test your knowledge, and win prizes Cheers!!

After a long morning flight I wandered into Flying Saucer for a late lunch. Not crowded at all and the staff were very friendly. I had the charcuterie platter (Farmer's Platter?) and it totally hit the spot. Washed down with a nice dry cider and I was set. The pic says it all!

Food was tasty and plenty. Service was slow but friendly. And the ambiance was a pub ambiance, clean and chill

The special pepperoni pizza was not available but it was because they were out of the thick cut pepperoni. I OK'd 2 pepperoni plus the hot honey and they special ordered it and it was wonderful. Great service. It's a fun place with lots of regulars and other characters. Menu is consistent across all locations, with an enormous selection of beers.

    I wish.

On a cold, windy, and rainy day, I entered the warm, dry, cheerful Flying Saucer downtown. A friendly barkeep poured me a St Arnold's porter aged in a cognac barrel. Boy, did that hit the spot. Their pretzel with queso was fantastic. Finally, a St Arnold's Christmas ale for the road. So good!

The Reuben sandwich was thick, tasty, and enough for two people.

The beer selection is extensive. The service is quick and friendly. The decor is German beer hall. Go for the German inspired food because the Reuben sandwich was pretty authentic , and the fries were crispy outside and tender inside. The chicken Pico bowl was not as good, so that's why I say stick to the German stuff.

Straight banger. The ultimate pepperoni pizza was amazing. The hot honey was a cherry on top.

They said they had food until 11:30 but when we got there before 11:30 they proudly said no food.

They also have dog bowls and water for your pups if needed. The bartender/owner was great, she let me try a beer before committing and checked on me several times during my stay there. It's nice to see they added more seating and more personal touches to the place. There's artwork to purchase on the walls, more tvs, additional cans of seltzer or thc drinks if that's more of your style. I love how it's locally owned and brewed. They were having smoked wings. 6 for $10 or 10 for $15. Comes with chips, carrots/celery and ranch. They were quite smokey, a lil salty but still delicious. The vibes are chill and they had football on. All and all a great place to stop by for a beer.

We ended up being mostly the only ones in the brew house for most of the evening which was a surprise, we enjoyed the beers and the service. There is a local brewery that is inside the brew house, Turkey Forrest Brewing. We enjoyed the hazy IPA, cream ale, and a watermelon tajin ale they had on tap. They also have beers and canned beverages from a variety of other places and popular canned drinks too, to suit any preference. My boyfriend and I had a really fun time playing board games they had available and chilling out. There were also Halloween movies and a playlist playing. Seems like we were there on a slow night, they appear to have events throughout the week such as a run club and bingo nights. Definitely a fun, chill option in the area!

Colton behind the bar made the experience, he's extremely knowledgeable and fun to talk to; walking us through a thoughtful tasting of wines we'd never even heard of and helping us purchase a bottle from Mexico we never would've picked without his guidance. It's a nice lowkey neighborhood spot with a bar and outdoor seating as well. The ambiance was chill and casual which I am all for. They are pet friendly as I got to see some fur babies come in which is always nice. We started with some glasses of Cabernet and told our waiter we were celebrating my birthday. The food didn't take long to come out and was so darn good. It was probably one of the best steak nights I've had in a while. We had the ribeyes, mash potato, mac and cheese, green beans, and French fries. The steak was seasoned perfectly and grilled to the perfect temperature to my liking. We are still talking about it, I can't wait to come back and try their chimichurri sauce. We ended with the strawberry and Cinnamon Toast Crunch cheese cake. They weren't too sweet and just the right amount of richness. If they aren't on your list for steak night I definitely recommend!
