Cottonwood is such a vibe. The patio is fantastic, especially when the weather's nice. Great atmosphere, relaxed but lively, and the food absolutely delivers. Everything we tried was fresh and flavorful, and the specials are always worth checking out. Perfect spot to hang out, eat well, and enjoy the energy. Will definitely be back.

The food was good. I got a patty melt, grilled cheese and the loaded fries. The patty melt was amazing and my daughter destroyed the grilled cheese. All orders go thru at the bar and you receive a table tent. The food came out pretty fast and the runners were nice. We got to enjoy the Saturday $7 mimosa special.

They make me happy during the happiest of all times... CRAWFISH SEASON! $7 mimosa carafes and fresh hot crawfish. And, their patio is full of TVs so we can easily catch Saturday basketball while soaking up the sun and sucking down some crawfish. Oh... and, the seasoning is on the inside and not on the outside.

Great steak night. Cottonwood located in the greater heights area, offer spacious seatings indoor and out. Plenty of TVs for sports and chill hangouts spots. Dog friendly spaces and live band sections. Steaks and sides were good and reasonable sized. Well seasoned with salt and pepper, and green beans were steamed really well. Mash potatoes were ok

Ambiance: Heights area bar with several seating areas: Covered patio, outdoor patio, & an indoor high top and mixed seating area. Dog friendly! Perfect for hanging out in the evenings or weekends with a group of friends or solo. Huge parking lot onsite (Definitely lock your car & hide belongings because I've seen people get their cars broken into here). Friendly service & really great food! They have different meal deals depending on the day of the week. Decent drink options - a great brunch spot as well! Cottonwood is one of my favorite spots for grabbing a drink with my social club or dogs!

I absolutely loved this atmosphere and the food was amazing! There's a big patio with outdoor seating which was also very nice! I do think it was a bit pricey. My stuffed shrimp plate was 25 dollars. Overall, I would definitely come back!

I've been to Cottonwood with friends twice now and enjoyed the experience both times. For my first visit, we went for brunch and were surprised at how crowded it was and how many people had their dogs there - we loved it! The atmosphere is very casual and is nice for just unwinding with some drinks. We grabbed a spot at an outdoor table during brunch and ordered a mimosa carafe. The carafes aren't large so we ended up ordering two but they're on special on Sunday so it was $12 for two carafes. For food, I ordered the Mascarpone French Toast which looked great. I can't say the french toast is an item I'd order again though, it had an odd consistency or texture. The second time I went was for drinks and an app. I ordered the frozen Blood Orange Margarita which I was excited to try. I do with they would ask about the rim though because they automatically put tajin on it which wasn't noted on the menu and I really don't like Tajin. We also ordered the fried okra which is great. All in all, definitely a place I'll go back to with my pup.

So I really liked this place, therefore a friend and I came back on a Sunday around 3:30. Mimosas were $10 even though last time we were there it was $5 all day.. so I was a bit confused by that. We got the same BFF fries, salad & wings. I was disappointed cause the fries came out super cold. We sent them back & then they just weren't as good... chicken was a bit burnt. Just wasn't impressed this time with service. Bummer.

I really enjoyed this bar! My brother and I visited Cottonwood for the first time because of a Filipinx yoga event, and really enjoyed it. It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon and it was really nice to enjoy the sunshine with some drinks and grub. Their spicy chicken sandwich was huge! It wasn't necessarily spicy by any means, but we really enjoyed the garlicky flavor. Loved the seasoned shoestring fries as well. Their themed specialty cocktails were tasty, but we'd love to come back for $5 mimosa carafes and happy hour specials.

One of the frozen drinks. There were only 2 on the menu. $10 frozens on Saturday & Sunday (normally $12). Very good, sweet, & STRONG

Everything was very salty! I feel like I wasted my cheat meal. BOURBON BACON BURGER $15 - [spinach And White Cheddar Cheese Topped With Our House-Made Caramelized Onion And Bourbon Bacon Jam] - bfs burger was good. Bacon jam was sweet/tangy. There is no bacon despite the name. The BFF (beef fat fries) that came with it, however, were super salty. we couldn't even finish them. You could already tell they had too much salt by looking at them. There are enough fries to share though. Chicken fried chicken $14 - Wednesday special. Came with mashed potatoes and green beans. CFC wasn't bad. It was crunchy and ok size (not as big as lubys though). I should've gotten the gravy on the side since it made the chicken less crunchy, and they put too much. Also, both the chicken and gravy were salty. The green beans were the saltiest ever!! The mashed potatoes, however, were great and not salty. 2nd time eating here just bc we live down the street, however I don't think I'll be back for the food. Drinks are better and strong.

    Truffle Pretzel bites.

I wasn't too impressed the first time, and this visit certainly confirmed my initial thoughts. For La Lucha's Happy Hour, you get a choice between 2 types of oysters ($1.50 each). These were great - do this on a weekday before 6pm and you should be able to grab a table without a reservation. Barely even after we started eating the oysters, the waitress was already asking if we wanted to order more, instead of allowing us to just enjoy our food without interruptions. The menus they gave at our table were inconsistent and had different menu items. I had to ask for clarification if the redfish was on the menu since it wasn't on two of the three menus given to us. So, quality control was a miss. Rest of the menu... is limited. Everything was so greasy, from the fried chicken, the redfish, and shrimp tacos. * Red fish with pecans - 6/10. The fish did not taste like it was seasoned with salt. It was well cooked, not dry at all, but it lacked any sort of seasoning aside from the butter and pecans on top. * Shrimp Tacos - 4/10. I think I prefer Taco Bell over this one. The shell was greasy, not crisp (felt like it was stale), and I was confused with the combination of American Cheese and shrimp. They also added hot sauce or spicy salsa in the tacos - so a warning if you can't handle spice (not mentioned on the menu). * Half Fried Chicken - 5/10. The chicken was moist. Been here once before and it was quite dry, so I'm glad this was cooked well. You get 2 thighs, a wing, and a drumstick (4pc). Again, there was a lack of any seasoning on the chicken itself & the exterior. Sadly, the sauce that we picked was not the best either - oyster mayo. It would've been nice to try the others, but the half order came with one sauce. The seasonal jam that was available was the peach jam. It went well with the biscuits (half order comes with 2 biscuits, any extra is $1.50). For my people who get cold in restaurants, I would recommend bringing a light jacket since they turn the A/C up.

This is a bit of a dated review, but we came here for a Valentine's dinner as a special occasion. We got seats at the bar counter behind the fire (which to me was the best seat in the house) so we could be close to the action. One thing you'll notice is that the place is quite loud, I think which owes to the low ceilings (so don't expect like a quiet and romantic vibe). The meal started out great with the bread and butter - bread was sourced from Magnol, which was a huge green flag to start. The oysters were extremely fresh and absolutely delicious. We also had a dish with tuna over crispy rice which was my fiancee's favorite of the night. My personal favorite was the salad (I know that is crazy to say at a restaurant that specializes in live fire cooking) - but the way they zested all different types of citrus/lemons, peppers, chiles, and the way the herbs they put into it, created what was one of the most memorable salads I have ever had. All in all the food was excellent. Service was great (the night we were there, Max Lappe was there sending out food to customers himself). I do kind of wish the atmosphere was a little more quiet. With that said, expect to spend around $200pp (we did share a bottle of wine though).

I would like to preface, this isn't a cheap quick dinner restaurant but I highly recommend coming at least once. We found it on the Michelin guide. I love the inside of the restaurant, the layout is fun and intimate. *grilled oysters were good. The flavor from the n'duja with the bits of pecan was something I would never think to pair. Great start! * elk tartare was surprisingly amazing. I always find tartare to be a tough dish to make outstanding and with elk I was hesitant to try but happy we tried it. The plate was cleaned by the time we finished. The cracker was light and paired well with it. * maitake mushrooms were so good that we had to split it evenly so no one got an unfair amount lol The sauce is like a coffee/caramel/chocolately savory sauce. Mt description doesn't do it justice. It's umami but has a caramelized feel. Just get it! * pork chop was the best pork chop we've had. We typically order steak over pork chops at restaurants but heard great things. Tender and flavorful. I will say it's a very rich dish so be mindful of that but highly recommended * grits, this was the dark horse. It was our favorite tapa. We laugh bc we didn't think grits would be the fav, out of all the amazing dishes. But the beef cheek underneath the silky grits... YUM! I'll be craving them *basque cheesecake was good but not the best we've had. But it's also hard to compete with all the other dishes we had

My gal pal and I went for the tasting menu: 1st course - aquechile, 5*! My favorite dish of the night. So refreshing and even though it was dark in the restaurant, the phone captured the vibrant green sauce. Delicious! 2nd course - headcheese, 3.5* Interesting dish, very unique. 3rd course - Tamal, 3*. It was ok, nothing outstanding in terms of flavor, but not my least favorite dish. 4th course - lap cheong and beans, 4*. Wonderful savory flavor and a generous portion. Beans were perfect. 5th course - carrots, 2.5*, not quite a solid 3 mainly because they were bland. Pretty to look at but unmemorable...not bad, just not anything.
