I'm a former hairdresser. When my former employer was out of town when I was desperate for a change. I went to Flying scissors. In over 25 years, I had only people that I worked with do my hair. So this was a mayor step....especially getting foils and what I wanted to achieve. Amanda was a total professional, sweet, and knew exactly what I wanted. She put me at ease. This is hard to do, but her calm demeanor made me feel confident that I was in great hands and I actually enjoyed the whole experienced. Why is yelp filtering so many reviews?? We can't get to the truth unless we actually read what people think of the business. Like most of the reviews I just read (filtered) I was pleasantly surprised at the good service. The husband and wife team have made their salon a comfortable and friendly place to be. My only complaint would be their high prices and not a good blow-dry. I have thick hair, and it seemed like they didn't know how to blow-dry it correctly. I will probably go back to get my haircut, but not for a blow-dry. Their color / highlights are good but a little pricey. I don't mind paying for quality especially when it comes to my hair, but for someone on a budget it may not be the right place. read more

Whenever I'm in the area, I make sure to stop in at Flying Scissors Salon for a haircut. The stylist are professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable about their craft. I'm very happy, and impressed with the quality of work, and consistency. I decided to make the switch after receiving my fair share of inconsistent haircuts at large chain salons. I always make my appointments in advance (recommended), but I believe walk-ins are welcome. The pricing is very reasonable, especially compared to salons in the area. They sell quality hair products, including my personal favorite: Redken. I have had nothing but positive experiences, and will continue to use Flying Scissors Salon for my haircuts in the future. read more

My manicures and pedicures are fabulous, I enjoy the pampering and relaxing experience as well as the great look. Brittney and Frenchesca are always helpful with color or nail art choices and my husband loves the pedicures as well! I have regular perms, haircuts and highlights and could not find a better stylist than Amanda. The hair products are great and priced for your budget. Was there earlier today for the first time and had such a sweet girl do my hair, Lisa. I got color and a cut and she did a perfect job. The color is more red than I normally wear, but I love it and so does everyone who has seen it! The cut was exactly what I wanted. I was a licensed hairdresser, so I am very critical of others, but Lisa passed my test!!! As soon as I walked in the shop for my appointment, I was immediately asked if I wanted something to drink. I got there a little early and actually no added wait time. The salon was clean and the staff was professional; no loud screaming back and forth and each technician focused on his/her client. read more

Flying Scissors is by far the best salon in town! Cris and Gio run a professional business with that small town friendly feeling, where everyone who enters feels comfortable and welcome the minute they walk thru those doors! Not only are they great hair stylists who listen to exactly what I want done, they also have great suggestions when I'm thinking I want to try something new! I have never had a bad experience with them, or from any other stylist in their salon! I've been to the competitor salons in town and nothing compares to the experience I get from Flying Scissors! We just moved to the area from Kissimmee and I needed to find a salon to do my hair. I looked at the reviews for this salon and decided to try it. I'm very glad I did! From the phone call to make the appointment to the very end, the employees were extremely friendly and helpful. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and asked if I would like something to drink. I waited less than 3 minutes for my stylist and she took me to her chair and listened to what I wanted. It took her 30 minutes from start to finish and I am very pleased with the results. I will be returning. read more

Chris at Flying Scissors did a fabulous job on my hair!!! I recently moved to Orlando so I had to try out a new stylist. Unfortunately I tried out another salon first and the stylist there ruined my hair....fried my hair by overlapping my highlights. Chris was able to fix the color and cut my hair in a way that helped it look healthier without loosing my length. And the color is beautiful...naturaly I have medium brown hair that she dyed and hightlighted blonde. The salon has really good energy to...stylish, clean, simple, friendly, and professional. so surprised at al the negative posts.From the moment I walked in I was pleasantly surprised to find a full line salon which was more like a spa in its surroundings. So relaxing and watching the other stylists I see excellent results. My own stylist has cut my hair now 3 times and I am so happy to have found someone who listens to what I want and not what she wants to do. Highly recommend this salon. Louisa does my hair since we moved to Clermont two years ago and always does a wonderful job whether blow drying or coloring it. I am very pleased with the service I get. I have recently had a manicure and pedicure with Brittney and it was a wonderful experience. She is so good and does a wonderful job. It was totally relaxing and the best nail experience I have had. This salon is absolutely fantastic. I went in for hair extensions, to help me get over the awkward phase from trying grow my hair short to long again, and was referred to Gio. WHAT A GEM! I started going here about three or four years ago. The first time I went there stylist Louisa had an opening due to a cancellation. I was just wanting to check out the place at the time.. However, she took me in and it really was meant to be! She is an excellent stylist,and listens to what I want. Luisa always does a fantastic job on my hair cut, color any hair treatment. And if you wanted to take a little afternoon nap have Alyssa give you one of her pedicures. The girl has magic fingers. I'm so impressed with Flying Scissors they have the front door locked to were you Can not come in until someone lets you and they will only let you in if you have a mask on. Then they Immediately take your temperature & spray your hands with hand sanitizer and ask you to sign a piece of paper stating that you have not had symptoms or been around somebody that has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We usually get Courtney, who is amazing, but I'm vey bad about waiting until the last minute to book my appointment so sometimes I've had to use other stylists. I've never had a bad cut!
