It's Soarin'! in Las Vegas. Same ride system and manufacturer. They have 4 different movies that they cycle through throughout the day. There is a "history of the west" preshow video which is ok. But the actual ride really shines. Overall experience is about 25 minutes from pre-show to exit. We did the West video which went through the deserts in the west, up the coast, and also the pacific northwest. Of course there was a flyover of Vegas. The video was very crisp. The ride system was very smooth. My daughter complained it didn't have the neat transitions between scenes like Disney does. This just jumps from clip to clip although they try to keep the perspective the same. Overall I really liked this. A definite must do in my mind! read more

Flyover was my wife and I's first attraction of our trip to the Las Vegas Strip. We checked into our hotel after leaving the airport and walked to it. It was only a twenty minute or so walk from our hotel. Check in was easy. One of the employees was helpful in clearing up some confusions we had about how it all worked. We purchased the two-ride ticket, so we were unsure of how it worked. We opted for the American West and the Chicago ride. Both were amazing, but we liked Chicago the best. They were both about nine minutes or so, not including the pre shows. Flyover is an experience that every tourist will need to try. It's essentially soaring at Disneyland and Disney World, but with a longer duration and higher-quality visuals. We tried the Chicago and the American West for the special deal we found online. Both were excellent. If you're afraid of heights or have vertigo, this might not be the attraction for you. It gets a bit pricey, but the experience is worthwhile. Once you're seated, the chair is all move forward and you are suspended in mid air so your legs are dangling with nothing underneath you. Pro tip: wear shoes. Staff is friendly and each time slot fills up pretty quickly so book early! read more

This is one of my favorite experiences in Vegas that I recommend to all the visitors. They feature: Iceland, American West, Chicago, and Canadian Rockies. Iceland and American West are my favorites. Canadian Rockies is okay. Lots of cold air and snow blown on you. I did not like Chicago b/c it was a lot of going up and down skyscrapers and was kind of dizzying. My poor friend visiting got vertigo from that and couldn't do anything the rest of the day. They have a great little set up with a bar, lockers (free for the first hour or so?) and clean bathrooms and a gift shop. Beautiful area to chill too with floor to ceiling photos. The ride itself is maybe 25 minutes, half of that is watching a movie in a round room with screens on the floor and on a ball and in the background. Then the ride itself is maybe 10-15 minutes. You do feel like you're flying. It reminds me of the Soaring ride at Epcot. It's cheaper to buy two rides at a time and I recommend doing that. Definitely a fun little thing to check out on the Strip. read more

Came here with my coworkers on a Wednesday afternoon. We booked the 4PM showing in advance and came 15 minutes early. The hallway to the ride was super cool and we stopped to take photos. There was also another photo area with a green screen and we took some photos there as well before entering the viewing area. We stood in a circle watching a video before going into another room to get seated. We weren't allowed to record but it was a chill experience. The ride was maybe around 10-15 minutes long. We chose the Iceland option and the views were gorgeous. When we flew into the clouds, we felt water spray onto us which was immersive for sure haha. We decided to do this yesterday on a whim and bought the tickets for the 3:30 PM experience. I thought it was really interesting and I did feel like I was soaring. It's not scary and I would definitely do it again! I really enjoyed the scenery and I felt like I was flying effortlessly over the western part of the US. It was very surreal and I think it would be fun to do this after eating mushrooms. The gift shop offers a lot of memorabilia like sweatshirts and T-shirts and stuffed animals. You know the usual! They also sell food, which did not look very healthy I would say the check-in process was not as flawless as it could've been. All in all I would say it was worth doing and I would come back. The actual flying portion felt like less than 7 minutes, which makes the ticket price feel pretty ridiculous for what you get. Another thing that surprised me was the screen quality. The screen is massive, but the resolution looked pretty mediocre. For something marketed as a premium immersive Vegas attraction, I expected much sharper visuals. Also, learn from my mistake and plan your timing better. Parking was $20, and afterwards there really wasn't much for us to do nearby since we had already visited the Coca-Cola and M&M stores. We did the fly over Iceland and it was so incredibly fun and beautiful. We are both bigger ladies and we had no issues. The feeling of being in the hang glider is so much fun. So much fun ! The staff were super helpful and nice. They have a bar inside. The restroom was super clean. I first did the wonders of the American west and that was such I nice fly over , not scary and not a lot motion. Also sometimes we were able to smell the ocean. It was nice ! There is an area under your chair to put your bags. There is also an extra security belt if you're under a certain height. I believe this is more for kids. I also got on the Chicago Flyover it was so beautiful and nice to see the city especially if you have never been, I will say that flyover had a lot more motion! So if you have motion sickness maybe this wouldn't be the best one to view. Overall great experience, super fun and different from the stuff there is to do on the strip. read more

If you've ever been to Soarin' Over California, the ride at Disney's California Adventure, it's the same type of ride. Unlike the Disney version, there are currently four different "adventures" to choose from, Wild West (South Western USA), Iceland (my favorite) Chicago (least favorite) and Windborne (Canada) There are two pre-shows prior to boarding that talk about how each place was formed. There was a group on the ride with us who sounded like this was the first time they've been on a ride before. It was fun listening to them freak out, in an excited way, about how fun it was and how cool the scenery was. It reminds me of how insanely blessed we are to live in a time where we have cameras that can film paragliders going down snow covered mountains, or racing over stampedes of horses and buffalo. Prior to the last 50 years, humans never saw the world from the vantage point, and definitely not in the extremely high resolution, that cameras brought us today. Combine the video with the technology and engineering of the ride portion, that makes you feel like you're in the video as it sprays water and scents on you, experiencing the natural wonders of the West this way is nothing short of a miracle. It's so easy to get jaded but when you think of this experience in the context of what human eyes have been able to see, you realize how cool it is to be able to see the world like this. What a fun and unique experience to have on the strip! It's great for some family fun. There's a bar inside with some cool drinks, however we decided on just sticking to the ride. There's a lot of cool areas to take nice pictures at as well! When you have your tickets, you'll wait for them to announce the time you have to board. Then you'll wait in a cool little waiting room with assigned numbers. From there they'll take you to another room where you'll watch two videos (one introducing the experience & the other about safety). I loved this experience! I went with the whole family. It's fun for ages 4 and up I'd say. There is a bar in the waiting room and people just come in for that alone, but we came on a good day where there was a huge ticket discount for one of the experiences. So we all went on the ride and had fun, You come in and wait, maybe have a drink. There are lockers by the restroom if you need to secure stuff. When you're called in, your group will take a group picture and then you're off to a room to watch an intro video and then ushered to the ride after that. Once strapped in, you're lifted up and into the experience. When leaving, you'll walk through their souvenir shop where you'll be able to purchase your group picture and buy a lot of other items. It was great overall and I would do it again. If you decide to come, you can buy tickets online or in person. read more

Very interesting concept. We ordered 2 different flyovers, one over the Canadian Rockies and the other over Iceland. The concept is interesting as a group of people sit in seats with seat belts and once the plane starts it goes all over each area. The flight over Iceland much "scarier" than the Canadian Rockies as the plane went up and down, the seats buzzed and a couple of people made noises as they were scared and afraid to fall out. The Canadian Rockies had nice views but much mellower than Iceland. We wish we would have done the Canadian Rockies first but it was a fun time here. read more

Fans of the Soarin' ride at Disneyland will love this seated flying simulator! There are four "experiences" available that you can choose from: Canadian Rockies, American West, Chicago and Iceland. While this is a cool and unique activity, I wouldn't necessarily say that you get the most bang for your buck. If you buy tickets online, it's $37/person for a "single experience" or $51/person for the "double experience". At any given time slot, only two out of four experiences run simultaneously, so if you sign up for more than one, you may incur a wait between the two. We came at 9:00A right when they opened. With our tickets purchased ahead of time, we walked straight back and got checked in for "boarding". They were very well organized and admitted us right on time. Only a couple other groups shared our time slot, so during one of the experiences, we had the entire ride to ourselves. Upon entry, you'll watch an introductory video which provides some context and history on the region that you'll be flying through. A staff member then escorts you up to the seats where you'll get strapped in, do a quick safety check and then you're off! We selected the American West and Chicago as our two experiences. The American West, as you can imagine, included mostly nature scenes that were captured by helicopter. On the other hand, the Chicago one was mainly cityscape and filmed by drone. That said, this one was more of a wild ride since you fly through some tight spaces, so there are several twists and turns. Wind constantly blows to simulate the feeling of flying. If you're early for your time slot, there's a bar available that gets pretty busy in the afternoon. A magic show takes place in the same building, so many people will grab a drink before heading to the show. Beware that prices can be very steep with specialty drinks reaching $19.50. I enjoyed FlyOver, but each experience (about 20 minutes total) is fairly short considering the pricing. While fun, it's not the best value, especially knowing that there are so many things to see and do on the Las Vegas Strip for free. read more

Date of visit: September 8, 2025 If you loved Soarin' at DIsney's Epcot and wanted more it, just more expensive, then FlyOver Las Vegas is for you! I have been intrigued by this ever since I saw it pop up on the Strip but the cost had me wary of giving it a whirl. But when we found out that showing our Nathan Burton ticket would get us a discount, we were all in! Even better, if you stop in person and buy in advance you save even more. The combination of discounts is the only reason I am going three stars here as it's a bit disingenuous. More on that later. I will say that all of the employees that we interacted with were friendly and pleasant--a rarity in Vegas these days, so that was a nice bonus. We went with the Iceland option as it's a place that we have wanted to visit but haven't gotten there yet. To call this a 30-minute experience is a bit generous, as you have both a safety video and an odd semi-animated "story" that precedes your flight. Some of it is clearly filler and to be honest I wonder if watching an animated "woman" that would not be out of place in a "Shrek" movie talk about Iceland is wholly appropriate and would love to hear what Icelandic people think about this. The flight itself is admittedly cool, but I came away disappointed in the lack of context. The 15 minutes shows some fascinating landscapes, from hiking fjords to some sort of town's celebration, but there's no voiceover, there's no on-screen captions or context for what you're seeing. Something that would tell you which mountain or landscape we're flying over would be nice. Did we just observe a New Year's celebration in a small Icelandic town? You'll never know! If you're low on things to do in Vegas and you can score a good discount, there are worse ways to spend your money, but there are definite opportunities for improvement here. read more

Incredible! Depending where you are, parking will most likely cost if you're driving. Closest would be at the showcase next door. You'll need to have a phone to scan QR code and pay online. ( that is what we did) The package was but one trip and get a percentage off a second one. They have 5 different journeys. Each ride and process runs about 25 mins with introductory of what you will experience. Chicago experience was exceptional! And Canadian Rockies was enlightening! This is good for even children! I didn't love Flyover as much as the other reviews seem to! This was included with our Go City pass so we decided to check it out. The Go City pass is only good for the Chicago show, and we happened to get there around 30 minutes before the next Chicago show. There is a bar in the lobby while you wait and they announce "boarding" for each showtime. The experience itself was around ~30 minutes, but not all of it is the ride. They show a video first that introduced the audience to some of the people/places we'll see on the ride. It was cute and well-made. That was probably about 10 minutes. The ride itself is almost an exact copy of Disney's Soarin', so if you've been on that it won't be anything new. Fun if you are looking for an amusement park vibe, but I wouldn't go again. read more

I really enjoy this experience. This is the second time I've done this ride, with the first time doing the American West Flyover. This time, I decided to check out the Iceland experience. Between the two, I loved the American West Flyover more. Maybe it's my nostalgia of living on the West Coast, but I felt like it was a more relatable experience from flying over the coast of California to the deserts of New Mexico and the spectacular strip view of Las Vegas. This time, I decided to see Iceland. I visited Iceland about 10 years ago so I was looking forward to seeing it again. It was still a fun experience. There is just something so fun about being fully immersed in a film and feeling the elements around you. However, the film to me felt too repetitious. Basically, lots of snow and mountains. The American West had more variety in the scenery with landmarks I could recognize. The only place I could recognize in Iceland was when it flew over Reykjavík. If you have a choice, I'd opt for American West. But overall, it's a really fun experience on the strip for the family. And one that doesn't involve gambling or drinking. read more

Then you go into the ride area. You are seated and secure your seat belt. The room is dark and you move forward and start the adventure. You fly over various areas and landmarks. I had booked two 25-minute presentations, one about Iceland and the other about the Canadian Rockies. The theater consists of two side-by-side benches of about a dozen chairs, each requiring seat belts. The banks actually move, so the seat belt thing is really important. During each performance, the seats dip coordinated with what's on the screen. The screen itself is unlike any movie theater screen I've ever seen - it seems very much like a 360-degree visual space, providing breathtaking aerial views recorded by a specially-crafted helicopter that speeds you across the sky. The Iceland views included gorgeous waterfalls, scenes of plate tectonics, and broad spans of mountain views. The Canadian Rockies experience included rough terrain shots blended with First Nation traditional ceremonies celebrating Nature in its most rugged and colorful settings. It should be said the views and the speed of the images might make you a bit queasy - it did so for me, but I've learned that when traveling it helps to focus on the horizon, rather than what's at your sides or below you. There was a fifteen-minute break between the two shows, and I used that time to enjoy something from the Cactus bar, settling things for me in no time. This was so much fun that we went two days out of total time there to do all of their respective shows. There are different themed shows and each show does different effects etc. It's 4d or 3D or whatever interactive immersive ride experience you want to call it. The Chicago experience moves more like you're on a kiddy roller coaster. There's the option to take a picture for purchase. Purchasing tickets online gives you a discount however it's easy to get a coupon onsite. Rides are at specific times so while waiting for your ride there are snacks and beverages for purchase that are ridiculously priced. The cashier tried to shame my husband into tipping her. Can I say that I just love this place? I was able to experience the place during a complimentary event. I enjoyed myself so much that I had to tell a friend. Yes! I raved about this business so much that I brought people to it and I enjoyed myself just as much as I did the first time. Let me tell you, if you haven't been here before, you will definitely experience a WOW factor. I didn't get a chance to see all of the different locations that they have to offer, but I definitely will make the time to do so. I have only seen Chicago and Las Vegas.
