It's was really fun. Lots of mini games, and lots of rooms. They're all carnival type games, so make sure you bring friends. Highly recommend!

Can you beat our score in the carnival room?

I felt like I was traveling at light speed in a shoe box while pummeled with hockey sticks. What can you get for $25 in Las Vegas these days...? ...a hearty, calorie-dense breakfast sandwich (like a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit) at Eggslut in the Cosmopolitan... a classic Las Vegas souvenir t-shirt, a deck of commemorative casino playing cards... two pints of Guinness at Nine Fine Irishmen (New York New York) ... a $25 "gourmet" cheeseburger at various resorts and restaurants... ...OR a ride on The Roller Coaster at New York-New York, first launched in 1997 as The Manhattan Express, then named The Big Apple Coaster, and still sort of popular... mostly with Vegas virgins. There was confusion about storing our valuables... lockers, secret codes... You buy a ticket, get in line and then are told you should probably store your valuables in a locker, which you have to find and master the process for renting , opening and storing. [Tuesday midday] Short line was nice... we were with a couple of nervous teenagers there for the first time - their mom and aunt watching and waiting... Once on board, make sure to lock the seat bar down as far as you can onto you legs (more about that in a moment). Our midday experience thrust us into the blinding July summer sun blazing down upon us as we climbed to the top of the first summit - we tried to shield our eyes but it did nothing for the mounting heat that had me sweating by the top of ... THE FIRST DROP... (let your breath out slowing as you go...), then another and then you're thrown into a FULL LOOP where the centrifugal force shoves you into a pile of goo in your seat, followed by a little CORKSCREW-BARREL-ROLL maneuver and by the time you've caught your breath you hit a series of little up and down gut-sloshing, ass-smashing moves. Next thing you know, you're hurled left, then right - or maybe right then left - and up a little hill then into a CYCLONIC FUNNEL in a downward decent where you think you're done but then you hit a couple of parking lot speed bumps at maximum speed (more ass-banging) before you enter a dark tunnel where you think, "Oh God, what's next," but you get a quick glimpse into the casino right before the ride ends. Definitely a value (albeit it a different one) to the $25 cheeseburger, and more memorable than a t-shirt, just don't eat the burger before you board.

This classic carnival/amusement park ride has never changed since whenever the bumper car…read morerevolution began. How can you go wrong with an electric powered vehicle that was designed for bumping into other cars? Well, head on collisions can really mess up your back, spine, or whatever other skeletal terms you wanna go by. That is why for this track you are only supposed to go in one direction. In this case, counter clockwise. Still you will have those people that either dont know how to drive or just wanna be idiots and bump into everybody or both. You must be 54 inches tall to drive, at least 42 to ride. Before you are even let on to the track, you have those measuring sticks there at the entrance. Make sure to buckle up or the attendant walking around will not let the fun begin. Each car can fit two people if one is not tall enough to drive. There is only the one gas pedal on the left. To slow down or stop, simply just take your foot off the pedal. Or you can just bump into somebody if you wanna stop right away. To back up towards whatever direction you wanna go just turn the steering wheel to all the way to the extreme right or left. In the end, even after all this info, some people just dont know how to drive. Dont let any of these people drive you to the hospital. If im not mistaken I think the overall time given to drive around is 5 minutes. Yelp 2014 365 Review Challenge #172 "Road rage starts here"

As seen, in my Pics The Gift Shop's items' isn't priced too badly; there were some items that I was considering, but you know how it is, after the Holidays, your bank account is pretty lean; I have a lot of people to buy for, I've got a large family. There were five Grinch- themed trees. Many of the trees were decorated very nicely. It's a beautiful sight to see. We went on the Carousel, and we did two rounds of Mini-Golf, which was fun. We also went down the Avalanche twice. Stringbean went three times. Gone are the years of seeing all of the Gingerbread Houses. Now, there are a lot of fundraising food/drink stands, I get it, it's an organization.

Looking for some ideas for our anniversary when I found Play Playground at the Luxor. This was…read moreright up our alley because it fell on a Saturday this year (lucky for us, because my LTP is currently busy with school and work during the week). The last time our anniversary fell on a Saturday, it was in 2020 and we literally couldn't do anything due to COVID restrictions, so this one was extra special for us. We marked seven years of dating on 7/18/26! I had a pretty good childhood, back when there was no such thing as smartphones, VR, and AI, and Play Playground allowed us to play like a kid again. This is a family friendly place during the day, but they implement it to 21+ only after 7:00pm and 13+ only after 6:00pm when accompanied by an adult. Make sure to sign the waiver online and forward it to everyone in your party before arriving here to save time. You'll get plenty of playtime here; the entire thing lasts about 90 minutes, which includes Duck Duck Boom across from the main entrance. Once you enter, you check in and they will give you a lanyard that you can hook your play card on, which is extremely convenient. You will also be assigned a random name (I was "Neutral Guava and my LTP was "Pleased Hare") so that they appear on the scoreboard for each game. All games are worth 15 credits and many of them mirrored games we played when we were kids, such as Frolic (Simon Says), Perfect Popper (Perfection), and Rolla Derby (Skee Ball). Tic-tac-toe, Connect Four, and Jenga can be found at numerous tables as well. The Bullseye Bounce was one of my favorite games to play here, where I got to jump on a trampoline in a Velcroed suit and throw myself as high as possible onto a Velcroed target in three tries. There's also a bounce house maze in the very back, which was also fun to experience since I've been inside several bounce houses at birthday parties and other events when I was younger. Their cocktails are absolutely amazing, too. I got myself a Pop Rock Punch cocktail and my LTP got himself a Duck Duck Boom cocktail. The Pop Rock Punch came with a pack of Blue Raspberry pop rocks that I could add in myself (I did not choose this flavor specifically; it was selected at random). We got both of these in a 12oz cup. Being a Las Vegas resident of 25 years, I think this was the most fun I've ever had on The Strip thus far. Play Playground is a great place for any occasion.

Trust me the games are super fun and most of them you will try to beat your score playing multiple times. The vip also comes with one cocktail and swag bag.
