Came here on a BUSY Monday morning with my fiancé. There was one waitress working the entire restaurant and she was BUSTING ASS. This is the kind of worker you want in the restaurant industry. She outdid herself and was friendly and accommodating the entire time. Whatever she's making - double it. The food was incredible, especially the coconut blueberry pancake which knocked my socks off. Sunday morning breakfast - 2 open 4-tops plus counter seats along the windows and two people waiting the tables efficiently and with friendly greetings. We both ordered the Brazilian cheese bread sandwich, not because of the GF, but because we loved the little cheese bread balls that we had while visiting friends in Brazil. I ordered with the hash browns, which turned out to be REAL potato made here, not a Mc-patty pulled from the freezer. Great seasoning and perfectly cooked. The sandwich had a little spinach, well cooked egg (not too runny, but maybe a hint more than needed), and smoky bacon on a split cheese bread "roll." It was super hot when served; I finished almost all of my potato before I could eat it - no complaints on temperature. The flavor was really good - and unique. My only concerns were that the bacon was "tough" so that a bite tended to pull out the whole strip. It wasn't bad, but maybe a crispy bacon would bite more cleanly. The other issue, and really the only significant one, was the density of the cheese bread. I expected something similar to the cheese bread balls, which have a texture similar to a good Italian bread (not the squishy supermarket kind). This was almost solid. We've made the cheese bread balls at home, with good success, so I'll try the different shape - maybe for burgers! - and see if it's a challenge. I'll come back to explain if the experiment to make fluffier buns is not successful. Meanwhile, the place filled up and some of the other menu items looked really good. We're very likely to go back for a lunch. read more

My mom who is 89 and first time there my second said they should give lessons to people so they know how to wait on people properly. People on the right of us were complaining about the home fries. We were looking for a local breakfast restaurant on Newburyport the other day. We found the FM Station Cafe, a little local restaurant mostly filled with locals. We had great breakfast meals: ham and cheese omelette, fried eggs home fries and bacon, Irish Eggs Benedict with corn beef hash, and banana slit pancake with chocolate and whipped cream. We enjoyed the meals and our waitress, Danny, who was from Brazil. The service was great and we had a nice conversation with our waitress about the area and Brazilian culture. The Cafe was in a little strip of shops. They had a tent in the front if you wanted to be outside. The tent was probably put up during the COVID years. We enjoyed our meal and enjoyed each other's company. If you want local flavor you will love this Cafe. Enjoy your food and your friends and family! Safe travels. Based on reviews my wife and I decided to give this restaurant a try and we were very happy we did. We liked everything about it. I got the Irish eggs Benedict, that's with corned beef hash which was somewhat different than the hash I've had before. I liked it a lot. It was plentiful and delicious. My wife got a more traditional breakfast and she enjoyed hers too. Price was right, service was great and we're definitely going again. read more

We dropped in on a Thursday late morning with 10 people. 1st- The service was perfect. Noone waited long for anything. Every order was correct and timely. Everyone's food came out within a minute of each. Besides your usual breakfast items they had a variety of specials, which several people ordered. It got a little loud but that really is to be expected with 10 of us plus a bunch of other tables. Our waitress was fantastic. This is a little gem of a breakfast/lunch spot. What a find! This little restaurant just outside Newburyport is an amazing place for casual brunch. Food with a Brazilian flair, endless coffee and relaxed atmosphere. I tried the Chicken Bomb omelette with egg whites (it's a veggie-chicken omelette); quite nicely done but quite oily/buttery. The breakfast veggie burrito was excellent, quite nicely done and accompanied by avocado. We finished the meal with a blueberry coconut pancake. Everything home made and delicious. Starving after a morning chasing snowy owls on Plum island so I yelped a breakfast spot and chose FM station. Wow!!!! It takes a lot to impress me food wise and they sure did. Service was good! They were great about refilling coffees. Price was fair. Has an open kitchen, dining area is smaller than I thought it would be, and you are sitting pretty close to the table next to you. It was at capacity on the Sunday morning we went, but we were able to get a table quickly. I think this is a nice breakfast option in Newburyport that is out of the way from the busy downtown area. We awoke at the crack of noon and needed food. Yelp reviews set the Station above other more foo foo spots. It was exceptional. I chose a Brazilian slanted omelet with seasoned hamburger, pepperoni, and cheese. It was flavorful, light and perfect. Not a scintilla of grease. The potatoes were seasoned and had enough salt (not too much) to carry the omelette. Entire meal with no seasoning. The Irish Benedict was also perfect. The hash was not greasy and the hash consisted of small finely cut chunks of meat and more. There are lots of specials including foo foo French toasts and pancakes. The blueberry coconut pancake was excellent. Score! The Station is getting a 5 despite the fact it only open for breakfast and lunch. It is what it is and compared to other similar establishments it is clearly a 5. Since I have only been here once with the new Brazilian owners I will avoid comparison with the legendary GOAT George's Diner in Meredith, New Hampshire. read more

Small place, really great good and portion sizes. The food is varied and delicious. The drinks are also a good size. Prices are reasonable. The service is always very good too. It's also very clean. If I could change a tiny thing, it would be to add a double door. In the winter whenever someone comes in or out, it's REALLY cold. But even so, I'd go there unless it's particularly cold. read more

Showed up early for my train and had an hour to wait. Found this great Brazilian diner by happenstance. Delicious menu, friendly, attentive wait staff and good prices . We chose FM Station Cafe based on its central location (for a bunch of people), its menu and its reviews. We didn't realize how small the cafe was until we walked through the door this morning! We were a party of eleven and we were accommodated after a couple of parties had finished and three tables were pushed together--only a short wait. The service was great, very pleasant and attentive. The food was amazing too! There were omelets, French toast, waffle, breakfast sandwiches and the Banana Split Banana Pancake ordered. Everyone raved about their meal. The pancake was so large, we all got a taste--it was decadent! My French toast was delicious and the egg I had was cooked to perfection! It's hard to cook an egg over hard without overcooking it, but bam!, they did it!! My other half loved his omelet and the home fries. Ive only been able to stop in for some fresh to-go breakfast sandwiches and I haven't had the opportunity to sit down and enjoy their full menu, but I can't wait to. Every time I've come in, the staff is friendly and the service is fast. I prefer to spend my money at places like this rather than the DD across the way, plus the food is way better, fresher, and they're very friendly and accommodating. I have been able to be in and out within 8 minutes or so, with a delicious breakfast sandwich and tea. They cook the egg a perfect over medium and the meat is fresh (I like the ham). The raisin toast is great too! I'll definitely be returning a few times to try the other menu options such as the French toast and pancake varieties! Super nice people! read more

The raisin bread was a store brand quality and the breakfast potato's, cooked well but had a unusual tasting spice, which I did not care for. My single egg was perfectly cooked. I could barely eat the breakfast other than the egg. and afterward, I proceeded to Dunkin to fill my empty stomach.
