There's some kind of magic in the eggs Benedict that makes me cry for joy when I eat them.

I enjoyed the standard plate that included a homemade biscuit the size of my head. Yes, I finished it. I mean, it was a homemade biscuit for Pete's sake! Iasked for soft poaced eggs and I got them. Our only real option was two seats at the bar. We had quick and attentive service from the bartender. Interesting offerings for cocktails, and we enjoyed our drinks. The food I think can be best described as American/Thai/Asian. Food came pretty fast, and we started with crab rangoon, and possibly the largest we have ever been served. Fried up crisp, not greasy and generously filled with cream cheese and real crab. Next up, we tried the Waygu burger which was quite good, nice toppings. My only complaint here was we wished the fries were fresh out of the fryer. I'm really fussy about fries and like them hot, crispy and fresh. Sadly, these were not. I had my eye on the Choco Taco for dessert, and this was a sophisticated version of the classic frozen treat you may have enjoyed from the ice cream truck as a kid. Home made with great ingredients, it was a perfect finish to a very nice meal. I would definitely give these guys a try when in Newburyport.

When you walk in, the place is beautiful- sort of modern rustic chic with beautiful string lights. We ordered mussels and wine to start. Mussels were fantastic. Meaty, flavorful and plenty for everyone. The entree is where it fell short for me. I got the shrimp pasta. While the flavor was there, when I cut into the shrimp they still looked pretty translucent to me. After eating one and cutting up a few others, I felt that they were undercooked. The waitress said they wouldn't cook them more but she could bring the plate back and ask if they were cooked through. My plate came back and I was told they were cook so I sat there pushing soft, nasty shrimp around my plate while just eating spaghetti. My boyfriend asked for a medium burger and it was definitely rare to medium rare. When this happens, generally you offer to bring out new protein cooked again or ask if the guest wants something else but I was just left to feel like I was nuts. Whatever, into dessert. Now for dessert, I thought we'd try the cookies and ice cream. cookies were completely raw ( not just soft) and also not hot and the ice cream on the plate looked like it was pre scooped and refrozen. While I loved the concept of this place. Relaxing getaway where you can just do it all onsite, I honestly would spare yourselves the experience of the restaurant or order fish and chips or fried chicken) and just dine in Newburyport.

Although it wasn't busy, we waited quite a while even for beverages. When the waitress eventually took our orders, I asked for a cheese burger club sandwich, medium rare, add onions. My husband got a chicken parm sub. When we finally got our lunches, she served mine with no French fries, which I eventually received a few moments later. The burger on my club sandwich was so overcooked it was like a piece of shoe leather. There were no onions, and the minuscule piece of cheese didn't look or taste like cheese, but reminded me of a piece of curled up parchment paper. My husband's sub was fair but she forgot to bring him the glass of water he'd asked for and he had to keep asking for refills of his iced tea. Overall a dreadful experience when we had been looking forward to a tasty, quick meal. The first time we've ever been there, and also our last.

Ordered a fiddlehead double IPA with 8.2 abv Smoked bbq chicken wings 2 meat combo of ribs, brisket, Mac and cheese, bbq beans Well, smoked wings were outstanding and some best I've had .... Just right amount of smoke flavor. Brisket was a huge wow... tender, moist and some of best brisket I've had at many bbq spots throughout USA. Ribs had a nice smoke ring, a bit salty for my tastes, but still an excellent cook on the ribs Mac and cheese was great, I wanted a multi cheese taste... add a parm cheese to it... still excellent cook on the Mac and cheese Beans very good, I like a bit more molasses, with few chunks briskets ... excellent however Corn bread on dry side...needs improvement Only one option for bbq ... I wanted a peach flavor for my brisket, but all good Excellent bbq with outstanding wings . I'll return .

The pork belly sandwich special was an unforgettable mouthful: juicy, cheesy, and perfectly stacked on toasted rye that added the ideal crunch. We were shocked (in the best way) by the salad portions--massive! Easily enough to feed a family of four, and fresh as can be. The cornbread? Soft, sweet, and heavenly with the honey butter. We did think a little toast would've helped that butter melt just right--but still a must-order. The house pickles were crisp with the most satisfying snap and bold flavor. We also tried the hush puppies with their unique dipping sauce--super creative, though not totally our vibe. Limited seating means you might wait, but trust us--it's absolutely worth it. Booth or table seating. The Rusty Can is a flavor-packed experience from start to finish.
