A little odd that we have to have three different appointments for my wife to have a $39 consultation for new patients, then pay $100 for x-rays plus another $45 for the adjustment. Why couldn't she do all this at once? Also, they want to schedule us to come in today in a group session to go over her x-rays and the we go off into a separate room to go into more detail. I don't understand what my wife's x-rays have to do with others. With kids and a busy schedule, it's not conducive to have three different appointments in two days to get all this done. Also, they ask that a spouse or significant other be with the patient when reviewing the x-ray's. Not going back for the final...just sounds fishy and very odd that we would have to do all that when everything could have been completed in one, maybe two visits. read more

I hate doing reviews, and I don't even know if this will get posted, but I'm doing this one because the negative reviews I read were so wrong, so petty, or otherwise just ignorant of the truth. Dr G is one of the most ethical, caring and gifted health care practitioners my husband and I have ever seen. I see many complaints here about pricing. This is what I know: I recently convinced my sister in another state to visit a chiropractor near her home. Their diagnostics (incl x-rays, thermal scans, etc) would cost her $350 not including any adjustments. As a patient of Dr G, I know how important these tests were to both my husband's and my successful treatment. When I asked Dr G why his prices were so much lower, he explained that he wanted the care to be available to people who needed it and did not want expensive tests to be a barrier to that care. BTW, we've found them to be very reasonable in pricing (+ they offer payment plans). They are also very caring and understanding. And all the staff I have dealt with are wonderful people. They explain how maintaining a spine that is in proper alignment contributes to overall health. (Alternatively, an out-of-whack spine contributes to many many aches, pains and unpleasantness.) Stop in and talk to a patient. Dr. Gerard and his staff have literally changed my life, which is completely worth every penny. Best thing I have ever done was go to Focused on you Chiropractic, they do just that. The staff is wonderful, friendly, helpful, knowledgable. They promote health by offering free workout class for their members and teaching you how to convert your life to a healthier way of living. I am a new patient, I have only had 3 treatments, but I already feel the difference. I suffer from migraines which have decreased since I started my treatments. I feel the difference with my body. So I guess my review bothered them. I was just trying to inform people that everyone gets the same treatment, same up front payment. Same group presentation. They claim they can help with any illness with their work. Ashtma? Cancer? no problem, they can alleviate the symptoms.. Wow! Dr. G and team have it down. They really know how to deliver results. First off, you should know, my entire family swears by this doctor. This place is the best. If you are looking for an exceptional office, with a doctor who really cares about your wellness this is it! Dr. Gerard (and the new doctor Dr. Cole) work diligently to fix whatever your problem may be. Unlike other offices, FOYC does extensive pre adjustment work to pinpoint your problem areas and detect subluxations. Walk into the office and they can tell you miracle success story after miracle success story. Personally I went in for high blood pressure, being as I'm in my early 20's and college has done a number on my stress level, I knew it was important to fix it. I wanted to do so without medication. I had tried all sorts of things: excluding most sodium from my diet, drinking a gallon of water a day, yoga, breathing exercises, you name it! After less than 5 visits to FOYC, my blood pressure systolic number went from being in the high 140s to low 150s to the low 100s and my diastolic number went from the 90s to the 70s. It has yet to spike back to where it was. Dr. Gerard is doing an awesome job training the new doc and I would highly recommend either of them! FOYC does not disappoint! Dr Gerard at Focused On You Chiropractic is the real deal; he actually cares about his patients and he does an amazing job. That is a rare phenomenon these days. I injured my neck in 2001 at age 37 and was told by several medical doctors and spinal surgeons all over the country that my condition, also labeled "spinal stenosis" and an acute form of "early onset osteoarthritis" would only get worse and would undoubtedly lead to fusion of 3 discs in my neck. I was told to stay on prescribed painkillers as long as possible and not to ever have chiropractic adjustments performed because the bone spurs in my neck were so bad that adjustments could cause death. That's like someone handing you a lifelong prison sentence and your body is the jail cell. Since that diagnosis I have been on an 11 year journey of looking for help. I have tried everything you can imagine to find some form of healing or at least relief; physical therapy, yoga, exercise, medicinal herbs, traction, massage, hypnotherapy and even Brazilian witch doctors; HA! It just kept getting worse over time and was even aggravated by a car accident in '09 (hit by a drunk driver). Fast forward to June '12 at which point the tight neck has expanded to constant migraines, inability to rotate my head more than 20 degrees each way, vision and memory problems, trigeminal nerve attacks (severe facial pain), lack of energy plus lower back pain. Top that off with single motherhood, custody battles and loss of my job and you have a recipe for utter despair. It is at this point in time that I ran in to Dr Gerard who scanned my spine and took x- rays. He explained to me that surgery is really not necessary in my case, that upper cervical adjustments are not dangerous at all and that I certainly would not need surgery. He took the time to explain my condition in depth and how the adjustments can help the body heal itself naturally. It sounded too good to be true but check it out; I am about a month in to treatment and I can attest to the fact that after the 2nd adjustment I received from Dr Gerard my migraines were reduced by at least 90%! I cannot even begin to explain what that relief has been like! My energy levels have shot through the roof. Within two weeks of treatments I could rotate my head both ways and look over both shoulders. I could sleep on my right side again; all things I had not been able to do for 11 years! Yeah. Wow. Now it's not like I'm suddenly pain free. The days on which I get adjusted I need to recover but over a period of just a few weeks there is great reduction of pain; especially migraines, incredible increase in range of motion, more energy, clarity of thinking and feelings of despair have been replaced with hope. To which I say: bring it on! It;s like a beacon of light in a long dark tunnel of chronic pain. Huge! This change caused a real shift in my energy, which in turn caused a shift in my life on many fronts beyond just the physical, like an alignment on an energetic level which caused new opportunities to present itself. I can conclude that the specific care I receive at Focused On You is what I needed all this time. Think about these spinal surgeons telling me never to have chiropractic adjustments and even threatening with death. What nonsense! Are they just out to make a buck over my disability with surgical procedures? These procedures don't even work and make the condition only spread to adjacent discs and cause more loss of motion and thus more pain; the surgeons will even admit to this. How can anyone call that a solution? Or do these medical doctors have blinders on to alternative methods of healing? Whatever the case may be I have been walking around in agony for all this time and if it wasn't for Dr Gerard at Focused On You I would still be in that hellish reality. Dr Gerard has offered me an all natural treatment modality that has actually improved my condition and the proof is in my body and the resulting effects on my mind, mood and my life. I came here for my wife. I had lower back pain so assumed that upper cervical treatment would be a waste of time for me - it was my lower back that was hurting. But I decided to get tested and surpise- my neck was in pretty bad shape. I started treatment and this turned out to be the only chiropractic treatment that ever gave me long lasting relief from my chronic lower back pain. I highly recommend them. For a long time I travelled 1 and 45 minutes each way to get to this chiropractor because it was the only way I could get relief. Thats a pretty strong recommendation. Dr Liboiron is not the only chiropractor that you should ever see. If you have something very acutely out in your mid back you might need to see someone else as well to fully resolve it.
