I went here with my in laws who love it. I liked the easy large parking lot. The indoor and outdoor seating options, and the large interior space for dining. Our server was prompt and friendly. We ordered the chicken tenders with a garlic Parmesan type of batter which was delicious! We also had potato skins which were also very yummy! For my meal, I loved the steak flatbread I got the cream, steak, and veggies were just delicious! My father in law got a delicious looking bowl with rice, chicken, vegetables- it looked healthy and yummy. My mother in law got a sandwich she said was very good. Fairly solid place for lunch and a beer, although one of our bottom fill glasses leaked quite a bit until replaced and they mearly re-pored into a new glass... could a should done better on that! Not a fan of these glasses even as I understand the "theoretical advanatages" but I miss the artistry of a good pour and also question the cleanliness of them! A great neighborhood pub with a warm, welcoming staff and tasty food. It was busy on a Friday evening, so seating took a few minutes, but nothing unreasonable. I had the Greek salad, which was fresh and flavorful, while my wife had the haddock tacos--good overall, though the coleslaw could've been toned down a bit to let the fish shine. Service was not good - the waitress acted like weren't worthy of her time and one of us ordered a side and it didn't come. We followed up and she said she would check on it and it never came. Friendly Red's opened their Hudson location in July 2025, across the road from SoHo. This restaurant and bar is very popular in Windham and Derry and a third location was needed. The place was newly constructed from the ground up on the site of a former barbershop and an old house with parking in front and a larger parking lot in the upper back. This modern building has two levels including the Vanderbilt Room (function hall) on the top level with access from the back. The main lower level houses the restaurant & bar which has tables, booths, seating around the full service bar, flatscreen TVs, Keno 603, NH Lottery scratch ticket machine and ATM on site. There is also a spacious outside patio seating area in front of the building. The bar offers 12 draft beers, bottle/can beers, wine, sangrias, cocktails, martinis, mojitos, mixed drinks, and mocktails. The food menu offers a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, ribs, chicken, seafood, steaks, mac & cheese, pasta dishes, pizzas, plus a kids menu. They also offer weekday happy hour specials between 3-6pm and a late night menu. They serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday too. The prices here are moderate. I stopped by the new Hudson location after work and the place was very busy with the front parking lot full, but ample spaces in the back. I headed inside and found an open seat up at the bar. There were 3 bartenders on duty working together. I requested an ice water. Since it was still Happy Hour time, I started out with an order of Chicken Tenders & Potato Skins ($7 on special) There were 4 small breaded chicken tenders and 2 baked potato skins filled with melted cheese, bacon & chives and a side of sour cream. I also tried to order the Queso dip, but this is no longer on Red's menu. Next, the Fried Haddock Sandwich ($15 plus tax) was served with seasoned hand cut fries which had a soft texture, tartar sauce on the side. The sandwich had a crispy breaded fried piece of haddock & Red's coleslaw (vinegar base) on a thick soft roll. After I was done, I got the check with Toast QR code which was $23.88 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food was pretty good, a bit on the greasy side. The service was adequate and I received my appetizer and sandwich by a bartender and a kitchen runner in a timely order. I paid the check online and headed out. read more

We ended up being asked to leave based off things that never happened. The manger (he) was extremely rude and disrespectful. I will never return to this establishment. read more

Food: My sandwich was burnt and my husband's marinated chicken was dry. Service: We were there at noon for lunch. It wasn't crowded and no one was waiting to be seated. The waitress was nice but rushed us. We were with friends we hadn't seen in a while. Before we even looked at the menu she started rushing us. When we said weren't ready to order she said she'd be back in 2 mins! Yikes, we closed our mouths and opened our menus. Before I was done eating she brought the checks! I had such a great lunch experience today at Friendly Red Tavern in Hudson! The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the food came out surprisingly fast. I ordered the grilled chicken salad, which was fresh and flavorful, and my friend had the chicken tacos with side of fries which she loved. I also tried a strawberry spritzer mock-tail that was light, refreshing, and perfect for the beautiful day. We sat in a shaded part of the outdoor patio where there was plenty of seating, and it made for such a relaxing lunch. The only downside was that while we were sitting outside, the landscaper was mowing and weeding right around the patio and at times my friend and I had trouble hearing each other over the noise. It would make more sense to do landscaping before the restaurant opens at 11 AM rather than during lunchtime hours. Went back with Marge to try the pizza. Last time we were here, the ladies at the next table raved about it. Our waitress was nice & helpful PRO- Service was good & quick. CON- The pizza. Undercooked & very doughy at the bottom. Another 4 minutes in the oven & it would have been great, as it had a good cheese topping. Also my Kendall Jackson wine (usually popular) tasted lousy, like it was old or something. Not impressed. SO- After a very good first visit, we'll be a bit before we go back. Just OK. read more

My wife and I have been here three times. It's a nice place, brand new and lots of seating arrangements. In the summer we sat outside which was nice and we got pizza and wings. That was our best meal there, however at the time it smelled like seafood inside the restaurant. We like seafood but we didn't really care for smelling seafood throughout the entire restaurant. The other times we went I got steak tips which were a little too chewy, and baked haddock that was loaded with butter. My wife got chicken tacos and shrimp risotto which was ok not great. Drinks were fine, nothing special. I'd probably go back to get their pizza but not an entree, and it's nice to sit outside there on the patio when the spring hits. read more

The food is good, for a quick meal and the prices are reasonable. I wouldn't go there all the time but for a dessert it's really good.

I'd wait a number of months before returning. I was with a group of ~16, with 8 at our table. The waitress was cordial, but forgot a few things that a couple of us ordered. My loaded potato and chicken tenders didn't have much flavor. Likewise the BBQ pulled pork sandwich lacked spice and flavor. The place was packed, likely due to happy hour (3-6PM). They have to iron out the bugs, and I'll give them a number of months to do that before trying one more time. read more

First time visiting, It was "ok" or "Meh", "so-so" and I think three stars is very generous. Place is wide open with a few booths, some high tops, and many tables, no real atmosphere at all. When we arrived there was nobody at the counter to assist us for a few minutes then, all of a sudden, there was like six people there. We said we were two and there was mass confusion between all the people behind the counter. We were finally seated. Phew..... Menu has much to choose from. We decided on the potato skins as an appetizer, wife got a diet coke I had a lemonade it was very bitter. Appetizer arrived and it was a home run, hot and tasty, downhill from here ...... For our lunch the wife ordered a bacon cheese burger and I got the Cajun chicken Caesar wrap both with a side of fries. Food took a long while to come out. Fries were warm at best no where near being hot. Wife's burger bun was hard on top and extremally soggy on the bottom. it had been sitting for a while, like the fries. Mine was "ok" however ordering a Cajun wrap one would expect a bit of a kick, nope was just a regular old chicken Caesar wrap. Our server was very friendly and attenuative. Would we go back? Food was horrible. Felt ripped off it was so bad. Food had no flavor. Chicken taste like had freezer burn. My fries wer cold. There Mac and cheese taste like cooked with no cheese. This was out 2nd time trying, there won't be a third. Hope it get better. They need a chef consultant to come in and redo menu. Was so bad, we felt bad for staff.
