Every now and then you'll find that a hidden gem was right there in plain sight the whole time, that's the case with Fogata Street Tacos. We recently moved into the northwest Ocoee area and are still feeling our way around the food scene. Coming and going we pass Fogata located inside a little strip mall and finally went in. You walk into a restaurant overflowing with cool vibes and intense aromas. The ordering is simple enough from via a self service kiosk while friendly staff is available to assist. The menu is loaded with items that can be altered to your specifications as the food is prepared fresh and with reasonable waits. After ordering we took a seat at an outdoor table enjoying the complimentary nachos and salsa while uptempo music added to the experience. The staff delivered our order and everything went from good to "HOW THE EFF DIDN'T WE VONE HERE ALREADY!". Our order consisted of the "El Campechano" which is Steak with mexican chorizo, grilled onions and grilled cheese. That's three double flour tortillas with refried beans and rice. Next up was the "El Marinero" which was also three soft flour tortillas made up of grilled (or you can beer batter them) mahi mahi fish topped with cabbage, pico de gallo, sliced avocado, and chipotle mayo (spicy), or garlic sauce. Finally a "Fajita Burrito", chicken with grilled bell peppers and onions. Rice, cherry tomatoes, beans and mozarella cheese. Everything was on point and absolutely delicious. Overall this place is a 10 out of 10, a 5 star, a must do or any other rating methodology used to say don't skip it. We're new to the area but we're going to be old friends with Fogata Street Tacos. read more

Food here is very tasty!! My favorite item to get are the fajita quesadilla with shrimp. I also love their Aqua Fresca. The pineapple is my favorite and the watermelon is a close second. It is pricey. But for what you get, I think it's worth it. read more

This is a new place that we tried for the first time last night. It was Taco Tuesday, so we took advantage of the deal: $2.50 per taco. The tacos are small, street-style, though you can add other toppings if you want. I tried birria, chicken, and carnitas. All three had good flavor and were nice and juicy. I also tried two different hot sauces and both were good. We also split an order of chips and salsa. The chips are thick, salty, and have good taste and the salsa is also good. There are other things on the menu, such as speciality tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, but I can't comment on those. But I'm glad we have a new taco place to go to when we're in this area. read more

This restaurant is exactly what our small exit needs. Great inside and outside seating, and NOT. A. CHAIN. RESTAURANT. I'm so sick of the fast food in this area. Alas, back to the review... This place is fantastic. Tried it today for the first time and noticed many of the things other reviews have mentioned (screens, pricing, etc.). The food is incredibly flavorful and came out quickly. Typically if you order a "taco" ala carte at a traditional restaurant, that's all you get. Not here. I received the taco (double corn tortilla made in-house), grilled serrano pepper, grilled onion stalk, radish slices, and a specialty hot sauce (also made in-house). The kids had a burrito, taco, and quesadilla plate - all fantastic portions. Tried the burrito (smothered with cheese dip as well) and it was amazing. It was the last bite left as my 7 year old couldn't finish the plate...too full! I also had the street corn and it was perfectly cooked, semi-spicy, and packed with flavor. Seeing a bunch of adults that don't know how to ask questions, wait patiently for food at a recently opened restaurant, or order from a screen. It's a shame this place is getting lower stars because of this. read more

First visit. I had the beef & shrimp taco with a side of refried beans. The taco were good but beans were delicious. I really prefer ground beef in my tacos so while the beef was good it will not be something I order again. The shrimp were served with fried onions. The chips & salsa were thicker corn chips & the salsa very spicy hot. There were 2 adults & 2 girls and we all love Mexican but none of ate it or the even hotter green salsa that came with the tacos. Great Local spot for tacos. The food is well seasoned and fresh. We had take out and the package of food was done so well that my food was still warm and tasty 30 minutes after order. The best part of the whole experience is the ability to order your food via a virtual screen at the POS. I would highly recommend you swing by for some authentic tacos. P.S. Atmosphere felt authentic Mexico vibes with the bright colors, music and the beverage displays. The ordering you had two options by kiosk or with one of the staff which was very friendly. You can see them grill and prepare your food from a distance. If you were dining in you could sit indoors or outdoors, they serve chips and salsa while waiting for your food if dining in. We had ordered California burritos (of course being from San Diego that was my go to), chicken taco, chorizo taco, pork taco, queso with chips. The drinks we ordered was pina & jimica. The wait wasn't too bad most especially for made to order. The jimica was strong so I added a little water to make it less strong my sister said the pina had pulp so you can tell the drinks are homemade. The burrito was huge I shared the other half with my daughter. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. Pico was fresh and the fries were the right amount & crispy. My sister said her tacos were good except they burnt her pork meat for pork taco so she didn't care for that one. The queso was white queso and tasted just like every other queso I've had the chips tasted fresh just would have preferred them with a little bit of salt for flavor. I would highly recommend this location for burritos or tacos. I can't wait to go back to try more off their menu. read more

I've been to multiple street taco places where the quality of food and price is not equivalent as Fogata. The prices are good especially for the quality of food you're receiving. I tried the steak, chicken, carnitas, and chicken tacos. We also had chips and queso. The tortilla chips are thicker and definitely home made not store bought. The queso is delicious, it does not have an artificial, sweet, taste to it. We also ordered kids burrito and kids taco. Everything was absolutely delicious. They double the tortilla in the tacos which I love because with the amount of meat they put on the taco one tortilla would break. To the people who reviewed below me wishing for ground beef and putting sour cream in their tacos go to Taco Bell. read more

No complaints about the service. They were reasonably friendly. Ordered the Fogata street taco platter. Corn tortillas, choice of meat, decent toppings... this had promise. Then the food arrived and reality hit. Rice was room temperature and not well seasoned. The beans... I wasn't about to go there. The tacos were highly disappointing. The corn tortillas were greasy and heavy. The steak reminded me in appearance of Kibbles and Bits. With the limes and the dressing provided the taste was fair, however it seemed every third bite was gristly. Despite my appetite I stopped after two tacos and half of the rice. I realized I had learned a $16 lesson. There are much better alternatives in the area at this price point. It was like going to Ocoee Taco Company and spending twice as much. California burrito: huge and tasty. Tortilla on it so buttery and good. Birria: Savory, the dip full of flavor and big portion. I have been anticipating the opening here and with that I was met with major disappointment. There's two entrances but you are never greeted or welcomed. There's 3 kiosks to the side where you can order however only two work and they never direct you to use the kiosks. My husband and I stopped in for lunch today. We decided to try something new for a change. First my order was wrong. I stated no tomatoes several times, but wouldn't you know. My tacos had tomatoes on it. So, I send it back. Instead of making them fresh, they dump them off and bring it back. When the young lady brings it back out I noticed I had shredded chicken instead of grilled. Why they gave me shredded and my husband grilled chicken, I'll never know. I order grilled for both of us. At this point I'm no longer hungry. Thus, I just take my order to the counter and sit it near the register. One would think that someone came out and asked what was wrong or if they could offer me something else. Nope! I just watched them remove from the counter. These tacos are fantastic. I've seriously been craving it since the last we went. We got their guacamole and chips, which they warm for you, making it even more delicious. Their street tacos are fantastic and seriously pack flavor. The only downside is how very expensive they are, and they've never answered their phone for to-go orders, despite many many attempts to make them. We waited 15 minutes for 2 shrimp tacos to go. When we finally got them, one was made incorrectly. It was supposed to have no onion and no cilantro but both were on it.
