Off the Hanover-Norwich exit of I-91, this is hands down the best pure hardware store in the upper connecticut river valley!
(that's Hanover-Norwich, Lebanon, NH and White River Junction, VT).
Store manager Deek does special ordering and knows where everything is in the store as do most employees.
If you need paint, even one highly recommended by consumer reports which does aging and UV tests, they simply told me what painters who use their paints find works best for every situation. They are knowledgeable and full of useful information.
Though I've worked as a Chemist in paints and inks, I found what they told me very interesting.
As for adhesives and caulks they are the very top among local stores and listen to customer feedback.
Best "Sharon" assortment of fasteners I've seen, comprehensive pluming and electric, lumber counter, lumber....it's all there. Deek is incredibly knowledgeable and not shy about giving logical, reliable advice.
The next best thing to this store is Aubouchon's in the Warner, NH plaza off I89, exit 9, with Market basket (CR#2 rated franchise grocery value out of 50 national groceries.) read more
