We ended up purchasing our vehicle at Folsom Lake Honda because of two main reasons: 1. We got a great deal on the exact van we were looking for. 2. We did not feel pressured to purchase and we didn't feel like a shadow was following us everywhere when we were browsing the cars. A year later, we are still very happy with the dealership. It is easy to schedule an appointment for service online or over the phone and the service advisors and technicians are great. I recently worked with Rich D (service advisor) and Vasily (technician) who were both very friendly, knowledgeable, and great at communicating with me throughout the service , even at 8 in the morning! I usually opt to sit at the dealership to wait for my car. The dealership is very clean with lots of places to sit. They also offer lots of snacks, coffee, tea, hot chocolate while you wait.

    My review is for the service department only…read more The Express Service facility is great. Regular maintenance gets done fast and never any problems. I get all my regular maintenance done here. The main service department though, is a different story. I've been there twice and been disappointed twice. I got roof rack rails instaleld there, and they later started leaking and now my car leaks every time it rains. I had a brake problem and they simply couldn't find it. The problem was that after hard braking, the pedal became spongy and required pumping. They said they couldn't replicate it, which means they didn't try hard braking on the empty street next to the dealer. Oil changes and tire rotations, they're great. Five stars for the Express Service. Anything more I go somewhere else. 1-2 stars.

    Could have been a better experience.. saw a used truck on their website that I wanted to check out…read moreso did a test drive. Wasn't really planning on buying it but went back and forth a bit and was able to come to a good price. I will say Gee was very easy to work with and a pleasure to talk to. Actual buying process wasn't too painful, although at one point the date of purchase was entered incorrectly on the DMV paperwork and I was adamant that it should be corrected. I felt like that shouldn't have been something I had to force. Overall I ended up with a truck I love at a reasonable price. The tricky part and what would make me think twice about making another purchase here, is the title of the vehicle/plated didn't get into my hands until almost six months past the purchase date. And that was after me reaching out to the dealership several times. Once the right person was on it though, things happened pretty quickly and the communication was perfect. Also, I ended up needing to get new tires and an alignment a few months after the truck purchase, as well as a license plate holder for the front. In all fairness I should have been more thorough in my inspection of the vehicle prior to going forward with the purchase but I am a bit irked to have to have had to shell out over a grand for tires so soon after making the truck purchase. So, decent experience just be mindful of things when looking at vehicles here

He immediately stepped in with a genuine willingness to make things right. That level of accountability and care is rare, and it completely changed how I felt and my overall experience. Tony took the time to work with us personally, and through that process, we built a truly positive relationship. He is a man of his word, treated us with respect, and made us feel like more than just customers, he treated our family like his own. Recently we returned to purchase another vehicle, the experience was I would say five star. The trade-in process was handled efficiently, and we were given a very fair and honest value. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, transparency, and kindness. Tony Clay is an exceptional general manager, knowledgeable, hardworking, and deeply committed to his customers. It's clear he takes pride in running a dealership built on integrity and strong relationships. He is a man of his word and honor.     This will be likely the one and only car dealership review I ever do in the next 10 years. Like…read moremost people, I absolutely dread going to the dealerships. I dislike all the back and forth negotiation, the amount of time spent there, how pushy salesman can be, etc - the list just goes on. But my partner and I did tons of research and found that although there's a few negative reviews for Folsom Lake Toyota, the general audience seems to have had a good experience at this dealership, so we decided to reach out to them via email. My partner and I were both out on the market looking for new cars. His reason is that his car is near its end of life, while my reason is that my current lease is almost up and I needed a new one lined up after my lease ends. You just can't get around easily without a car in the Bay Area unfortunately. We did all our negotiations online and had made sure that our quoted price will remain the same when we walk in store to sign papers. We didn't want to make a 2 hour trek for nothing afterall. Thankfully our salesman, Ben, was very professional, kind, responsive, and understanding. We told him our price points (and pain points) and he understood and came back with a price on both of our cars that we all agreed upon. He also reassured us that all the papers would be ready when we arrive as long as we close these deals out within the next two days. We ended up making the drive all the way to Folsom Lake that night we got our prices locked in and I'm glad we did. That Wednesday night turned out to be pretty quiet when we arrived around 6:30PM. We walked in, took a look at the vehicles we each wanted, gave it a test drive, and started our credit applications. He made sure we had our insurances so that we can drive the new cars off the lot, then Ben gave us some numbers based on the down payment we offered. This process probably took an hour or two. After we made our choices on how many months we wanted to finance, we were transferred over to the finance department. Finance basically took another hour for both of us combined, so we were in and out the dealership in 3 hours. Whew, for the two of us, I'd say this is efficient, and I like it! The folks at Folsom are pretty helpful and we both walked out happy (quite unexpected from a typical and previous experience so this was a big plus for me)! Although the drive out was far, it was definitely worth it. They would be the first dealership I would reach out again when I want to buy another Toyota.

    I purchased a 2013 BMW X5 from the folsom location. The vehicle was priced well after a long search…read moreof similar vehicles in the area and when I arrived on the lot, the salesmen were very friendly and had absolutely no pressure in their presentation. Simply asked if I needed any assistance and offered me the keys to test drive with ease. The purchase process was very simple and after making the decision to go ahead with the purchase, I was out the door within 15 minutes with the keys in hand. Within a week of purchase, I drove the vehicle 700 miles to Phoenix and while I was there, I had a BMW shop perform a full inspection on the car. It passed with no significant issues beyond normal wear and tear. The only issue that I have had in the 2 or 3 months since purchase was the check engine light came on for a pump that pressure checks the fuel tank to verify no leaks. A simple fix. With any used car lot that is not a major car company lot, you take risks with your purchase, but I was pleased with my interaction with the sales representatives and with the purchase. I believe I got a lot of value in my purchase.

    Great at selling :) Bad on keeping promises at time of sale…read more. :( When I got my Ford Sport Trac I told them there was a noise coming from breaks , I also told them sounds like they will run out pretty soon . Seller made a note and compromised to replace of that was the problem of the noise . I came to the shop , ( brakes are at 3mm already, point where it's recommended to replace ) still safe to drive but it's already recommended to replace . They simply didn't want to replace since noises are normal on all cars ( that's their excuse ) I got my car with the promise of a break replace if that was the motive of the noise . It was and to the point of being replaced Few words make sure you detail everything you get at the point of sale . I drove 2 times for this 4 hrs ( back and forth) just to get a No from something promised .
