I'll start by saying that I was not intending on buying my husband a new truck. But we were coming off of setting up funeral arrangements for my Father-in Law and I thought maybe looking at new trucks would cheer my husband up. We were greeted by Jay who very kindly took us on a tour of the lot and let us crawl around in some really cool trucks, including the Silverado Black Widow! We were getting ready to leave when THE truck caught my eye. My husband absolutely loves the muted gray color and had been telling me for years that's he'd love a "battleship gray" vehicle. This truck checked almost all of the boxes and it was the first time I had seen my husband smile in over a month. After the test drive he was getting ready to walk away when I told him "Happy Birthday, let's get your battleship!" Bought my truck in for 50K service which included changing the "transfer box" fluid. This involves the 2WD to 4WD components. They called to tell me they can't get the truck out of 4WD and wanted $300.00 to figure it out!! The truck was in 2WD when I brought it in. I haven't used 4WD in years. I am a return customer that will not be using them again. Very disappointed in the service that I received I had two leaks underneath our car so we took it in for service. One issue was solved. There was a leak at the back of the car. The second leak the technician stated it was from an oil change. When we got our car back, I looked underneath and found that it was leaking from the oil pan seal and none of the oil was cleaned off from both sights. Don't recommend service here. Because my engine was under warranty I had no choice. First, told would take a month for them to replace oil pump. I understand it's a big job, but a month. Only after talking with service manager did they tell me they would have the parts and could get it done in a couple days, one day after telling me it would be weeks. Then when I pick it up, 88 miles had been put on my truck. Asked to see manager and told they had to test drive it. Guess it took a trip to Stockton to make sure their repair was good. Untrustworthy, I understand they were not making money off an engine under warrant, but at least be honest and replace the gas you used driving my truck 88 miles for a test drive, guess that explains the months to repair, had to get it back to the garage after the 88 mile test drive. read more

Where to begin since Jan I've had my truck in the shop 7 times , bought a truck over 50k that had after market parts and was assured they would be covered in the warranty. Since it's Chevy they can't work on it and Folsom lake dodge won't work on it because of the parts . So I've paid for fuel filters within the first months that took me complaining enough times to finally get re embursed. Within the first few weeks I told them the tires were bad and they told me get a professional opinion just to have the service manager tell me no they wouldn't replace even half my tires . Time before last cost me 1,100 out of pocket . I did mention my truck only had 47,000k on it right ? Back window leak , last time emissions and recently was told they would pay pay half on the diagnostic fees on a 6,200 repair for bad turbo they also told me I should just trade it off .. never paid . My husband negotiated a deal with this dealership (over the phone) to trade his 2023 Corvette z06 for a Tahoe. When my husband arrived, the dealer wanted $12,000 more than what was agreed upon. When my husband asked for his keys and began to walk out, the sales manager (Will) began to work himself up and made a scene in front of a store full of customers. In an effort to avoid escalating tensions, my husband did not say a word as he made his way towards the door. Will then shouted "your keys are on the table" when my husband had already exited the store. Thankfully, another employee brought the keys out to my husband, which helped him avoid further verbal abuse from Will. I would encourage the GM (and owner) of this dealership to review this incident, and perhaps cc footage of Will's behavior. Actions to correct Will's behavior in a professional setting are probably warranted. read more

!!!!!!DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!!!! I bought a used Ford Explorer from these guys three months ago. When I test drove the vehicle, I noticed a little hesitation when I shifted from first to second gear. I asked the salesman, Austin, what that was, and he assured me it was normal for these kinds of cars to do that and it just needed time to warm up. I, foolishly, believed him. They ended giving me a good deal on the car since I needed something bigger for me my wife and our new baby, which I told them about. The hesitation continued every morning from a cold start and again, I thought it was normal because it eventually went away throughout the day. Then, about once a week, the car would go into "limp mode" and not accelerate. The "limp mode" problem became more frequent from weekly, to daily. So naturally I was concerned and took it to a mechanic who said the transmission needed to be replaced which would cost me $7000. The mechanic also said the transmission was leaking black fluid and the undercarriage cover had been broken and messed with. I told Austin about the problem and referred me to the sales manager Will. Will told me he felt horrible about what happened and assured me he would bend over backwards to take care of me. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me I guess. I took the car back to Folsom Chevy and they confirmed that yes the car needed a new transmission and quoted me roughly the same $7000 to replace it. I looked at several used cars but Austin quickly told me that no used car on their lot would make sense for them to sell because since I had so much negative equity on the Explorer, they couldn't mark down any car for it to make sense for them. Ok, so what about a new car? Well, certain models don't offer big enough rebates for it to make sense or else they'd lose money, they said. Except for a brand new Silverado or Equinox, which mind you my payments would nearly TRIPLE including the negative equity on my Explorer. Well, THATS clearly not an option, so what about helping me get the transmission replaced? Surely you could hook me up with that! Nope. On a $7000 estimate, their offer was to contribute $1000 towards the transmission. So basically, they were telling me to go screw myself. "Bending over backwards" really meant as long as it benefitted them. Great way of keeping customers! Do NOT trust Austin or Will!! In comparison, my wife bought a Subaru from Shingle Springs Subaru which ended up needing almost $7000 in repairs for the AC unit/evaporator core. You know what they did for her? They spoke to Subaru of America and kicked in almost $6000 towards fixing it. Now THATS taking care of your customer. Long story short, I paid down my Explorer a little and took it into Subaru, who offered me more than enough to fully pay off the vehicle and trade it in for a brand new Forester with manageable monthly payments. If you're looking for a trustworthy place to buy a vehicle, I beg you, DO NOT go to Folsom Chevy. I'd trust the dealers on Fulton Ave more than the snakes who work here. Give Shingle Springs Subaru your business because they definitely have ours for life! read more

Took over a hybrid vehicle, clearly states they did a 100+ point inspection with the oil and filter change etc. next day engine check light comes on and car won't charge. Seemed their inspection they supposedly did missed the most basic thing the coolant for the battery system was low below sensor line. I filled it up myself and reset check engine light and works fine now. This just tells me that point inspection is about good as the check at the Costco door going out with cart. read more

I had an appointment to have my vehicle serviced (oil change and tire rotation) on March 4, 2024. My appointment time was for 7: 30 am as I told them I would be waiting for my vehicle. The week prior when I called to make my appointment I informed them my employer (State of California) has a service contract with them to service our vehicles. I provided my vehicle information and advised them they would likely need to order the oil filer as my vehicle is a Kia and not a Chevrolet. They assured me they would have it available for my appointment. The day of my appointment, I was directed to a service adviser by the name of Chyna. As she is checking me in she tells me they don't have the filter in stock and they will need to go across the street to the Kia dealership and get on. Told me it would be take approximately 45 minutes. I also advised Chyna that my front left tire was losing pressure every 3-4 days. She assured me they would look at it. Two and a half hours later I still see my vehicle in the parking lot, not haven't been worked on yet so I ask Chyna for the status of my vehicle. She told me the part had just arrived and she had just assigned a technician to it. My vehicle was finally completed at 11:15 am, almost 4 hours later for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Oh and by the way, my left front tire was never addressed as it continues to lose pressure.
