Even though I live in Sacramento, I always go to this location. It's very clean and quiet. The staff are friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. Everything is clear about what services need to be done, and questions are always answered. Sometimes they do take a while to call you back. If there's ever an issue, they are willing to find a solution. I love that the waiting area has drinks, water, coffee, snacks, and plenty of things to read. There's a TV and charging ports for all types of phones. There's seating inside and outside. They provide a shuttle if you want to go elsewhere while your car is being serviced. read more

Few years ago we came by this Kia to look at their electric cars and did not have a good experience. The sales person saw us looking at a specific car parked outside and not only did he not bother to offer any service or help, he told us to move because he needed to take the car we were looking at for someone else. Then today, we had an appointment scheduled to send our KIA there look at and found out they canceled our appointment without first notifying or confirming with us (but merely send out an email to say that the parts required for the recall will take 2 weeks to arrive). We had purposely made the appointment to also check on some other issues but are now left to either wait or find another means to service it. I really appreciated them so much because I had a bad experience at a different dealer and I was burned out. I even got all the way through the process but wanted a different color and Angel drove all the way to Davis to get a different color for me at no extra cost. If you know what you're looking for and have a set price in mind, they'll work with you to make it happen. I worked with Tim, and he was fantastic. I asked if he could beat a price I had, and within 5-10 minutes, he called me back and said he could. At the appointment, Tim was punctual, polite, and extremely knowledgeable about the entire vehicle--bumper to bumper. He sat with me for about 15 minutes, helped set up my phone, walked me through the Kia Connect app, and showed me every feature and quirk of my new car. I've never experienced this kind of respectful and honest relationship after the sale was made. At other dealerships, they just hand you the keys and say, "Enjoy." Tim went above and beyond, and I really appreciated that. The only reason this isn't a full 5-star review--more like a 4.5 if I could--is because the car still had some vinyl protectors on the chrome and quite a bit of tape left inside and around the vehicle. I assume this is the responsibility of the delivery team, who handle vehicle prep before the handoff. I'd suggest they take a little more time on that part, though I understand how busy it can get and that they want to make sure the customer isn't left waiting around. Walked into this dealership hoping to maybe buy a car, but apparently, that was asking too much. A group of salesmen were sitting down, presumably mid-meditation or practicing the ancient art of ignoring potential customers. I had to summon the courage to interrupt their deep state of relaxation and ask for help. My sincerest apologies for the inconvenience, gentlemen. Finally got a test drive, which was less of a sales experience and more of a monologue. I did all the talking. Either the salesperson was practicing for a vow of silence or truly believed the car would sell itself. Spoiler: it didn't. Then came the fun part. Just as we were about to talk numbers, they casually mentioned that the car has a "hold" on it from the DMV and can't be sold for another 24-48 hours. Something about it being sold, returned, and confused for an actual available vehicle. Cool. I told the guy I was super interested, asked him to email me pricing and updates, and he gave me the ol' "No problem" routine about four times. Well... apparently it was a problem. Two days went by...nothing. I followed up with an email. Five days later...crickets. No update, no pricing, no anything. The car also magically disappeared from their listings. Houdini-level customer service. The happy ending? I went to Elk Grove Kia, where people actually stood up, talked to me, and sold me a car. Imagine that. I took the car in and not only would they not provide a loaner or rental, but they sent it back home with me broken still saying they couldn't duplicate the problem. The girls at the front desk have horrendous customer service, and so does service. I ended up asking my husband to take it in and he basically forced him to take him seriously. I was working with Folsom Lake Kia for three days to work on a written agreement for a vehicle that I was interested in. On the third day 20 minutes before my appointment I got a call being advised that a 6.69 APR I was originally offered magically changed to a 10% APR. They said that my credit was lower than they expected. Please also know that my credit is considered excellent so for them to offer me such a high APR was ridiculous. When I arrived, the sales rep felt so confident she barely wanted me to drive the vehicle for a test drive. I had to ask to drive further to get a fuel for the vehicle. Once we sat down to talk numbers that 10% APR changed to a 10.5% APR I advised I would not take the deal. They then spoke about it for over an hour offered me my original APR moved me to the Ford building where I sat for another hour for them to come and tell me their system had been down since before they offered me the deal. It all felt very sketchy. I did not feel comfortable making a deal at that time and I left. I went to elk Grove Kia, where I made a deal in less than 30 minutes on a beautiful vehicle and for the exact APR I was promised. Don't go to Folsom go to elk Grove. My Kia has been broken into three times, and all I needed was a simple answer to a basic question: If the thief stole the door lock cylinder, could they re-key it and use it to steal my car? Instead of helping, the person on the phone told me "everyone's busy" and just hung up on me. No offer to take a message. No follow-up. Just complete disregard. For comparison, I called Roseville Kia right after. They put me on with a service manager who actually answered my question and gave me an estimate on the spot--exactly what I needed. This is the difference between a place that gives a damn about customers and one that clearly doesn't. If you can't answer a question, fine--but take five seconds to say, "I'll have someone call you back," and mean it. Don't just hang up and act like my time or safety doesn't matter. Disclaimer I did not buy a car here...but I would consider it! Came here to test drive a Sportage and a K5. Probably the most relaxed dealership I've ever been to. The people were not pushy at all and honestly felt like they could care less if you buy a car lol. The BEST part of this dealership that far and away eclipses ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP is they let you test drive the car by yourself!! That was such an amazing feeling to be trusted to take the car yourself without someone literally breathing down your neck from the back seat. The people were really nice and the experience was good overall. I did make an offer on the K5 and they said they could only get down to $1,500 more than my offer. 2 months later I saw they lowered the price $2,000 so I asked for the lowest price to buy today and they actually gave me an offer $1,700 over my original offer despite the listing price now being $2,000 less than when I offered haha. They ended up discounting it another $2,000 (over $4,000 less than when I made my original offer) and selling it to someone eventually. Actually glad they dropped the ball on that one and sold it cheaper to someone else than they could have to me because it allowed me to find a car that was a better fit for me, a much nicer car, and cheaper. So it was a blessing in disguise. Overall if I were to shop for a Kia I would definitely look here first. Only downside to this dealership is the size is far too small and most their inventory is on a lot hella far away from the dealership. Nine months ago, I made the terrible mistake of bringing my car here for service. When I got it back, it had a fresh door ding, courtesy of their service department. Thankfully, I had photos from the tow truck to prove it--clear as day. The service advisor? Shrugged it off with a masterclass in denial: "Not our fault." Apparently, customer evidence and accountability aren't on the menu here. Fast forward six months--I schedule another appointment to handle the dent (thanks again), some recalls, trim work, and a few other things. I made absolutely sure they had the parts before I booked. Guess what? I arrive, and--surprise!--no parts in stock. But hey, they might get them in 2-3 days. Cool, I'll just leave my car there out of sheer frustration. Spoiler: it took 5-6 days. Now I'm renting a car because their website and rep hinted a loaner might be available. Nope. I was told I might have to pay for the rental (why? when it's their screw-up?), but I agreed only if they kept me in the loop. Naturally, they went full radio silence. When I tried to follow up, they handed me the number for Consumer Affairs--who then tells me they can't help, because, of course, it's "a dealership issue." Classic. Before I picked up the car, I asked for a picture of the "repaired" ding. What I got was a picture of a botched touch-up job that looked like it was done with a Crayola marker. When I asked, "This is acceptable to you?" the guy deadpan says, "Yes, Radiant Ride is just touch up paint." Funny--that's not how it was sold to me. I asked for a refund. Response? "We don't do that." Oh--and just when I thought this nightmare circus couldn't get worse--when I finally go to pick up the car, the trim piece wasn't even installed properly. Back into the shop it went. I left a voicemail and sent an email to the General Manager. Guess how many responses I got? That's right--zero. It is now April 2nd and I get no return calls or messages from the person who is supposed to be helping me. They drag everything out so the customer is liable for everything. My extended warranty thankfully doesn't expire til Dec this year but im worried they are going to keep my car til then just so they don't have to help fix the repairs. We bought a Kia Forte 2018 during Covid. Within a week had it back at the dealership. We told them at the time of test driving that the car was slipping. They didn't want to believe us. I swear they sold us a lemon but now it's past the lemon law cause no one is willing to help. I've been out of work now due to no car. I am giving Folsom Lake Kia a 1 star rating as I am unimpressed with their ability to do business with integrity and honor. My husband was hit by a Kia parts driver in shingle springs in March, the Kia employee engaged in an illegal u-turn and totaled our car. Upon the initial accident, the driver was apologetic and admitted fault multiple times to my husband and the police. The Kia employee since changed his story, was fired from Kia and we are left with our deductible (yes, even though we are not at fault) and even called my husband to ask for a job! I'm left with a totaled car, having to pay my deductible and the entire process stalling because Kia is not responding. When visiting this dealership to search for a new car (being that mine was totaled), the salesman turned on his "bro charm" and turned ice cold when I (the wife) appeared at the dealership. The sales guy had the nerve to ask my husband "who is driving the car most of the time, oh you are? Well then it doesn't matter what she thinks". His comments about the electric vehicle costing his friend "thousands of dollars because his wife wouldn't remember to plug it in..." was distasteful and unprofessional. I give this dealership 1 star because they wronged me, and my family and have not responded to any of our attempted contacts whether it be from me, my husband and insurance. I expect to be treated with dignity and respect from a large corporation, not ignored or dismissed. I would not recommend anyone to do business with this location. My experience seems to mirror many other reviewers. Bought my Kia Soul here 2 years ago--wonderful experience with the purchase. Quick, almost no haggling, great price for my trade-in, very low interest, great price. The SERVICE DEPARTMENT, however, is a whole other story. Been there a few times. Just finding and driving up to the service intake lane is a challenge the way it's tucked away in the back with very little driving room (almost got broad-sided yesterday on their lot) with all the cars parked in long lanes. The intake process is pretty quick. The waiting room/cashier is TINY and not inviting. Although they provide nice snacks, there's lots of noise and little privacy (Tip: Walk to the Ford dealer (steps away) and enjoy their HUGE building, with a large waiting area and individual counter workstations (set up with one's laptop and get to work)--located on the showroom, actually. So, last year, I brought the car in for navigation/phone integration issues. Two hours later, I picked it up. They told me everything was fine, then went to prove it, and it didn't work. Then, they told me they needed a special part or something, would order it, and call me. Weeks later--still no call. Typical. Then, yesterday brought it in for a 3K check and specifically told them my rear tire was losing air and needed a top-off every few days. I picked it up (took twice as long as promised), and a) they seemed surprised by my question about the tire; b) then told me there was some "bubble" causing trouble; c) once outside, looking at the tire they told me "actually the bubble shouldn't be causing it" (realized that excuse didn't make sense) and assured me they took it off the rim and checked it 100%. So, as I drive away, I notice the same low tire pressure as when I drove it in. If they really removed the tires for their "thorough inspection," why would the tire pressure be 5 points lower than all the other tires the minute I drive away? I really doubt they even looked at it. Update: Three days later went to a top-rated tire place in Elk Grove. They checked the tire, found the little hole, plugged it for free, and problem solved. Whatever you do, do not shop here!!! I went here a few days ago and test drove a 2023 Kia Carnival sx prestige and was helped by a gentleman named Trevor. He owned this vehicles himself so he easily sold me on the car. The following day, I ended up calling them a minute after opening asking to start the pre approval process and after speaking with RC in finance, I was approved. I texted Trevor letting him know I was approved and that I would be there later on in the day to finish up the paperwork and get the vehicle and all of a sudden I get no response. I message RC, no response. I'm like, okay..... I was talking to both of them all morning long so I just assumed they got busy. Around noon Trevor calls me and said "hey, i don't know what happened but it looks like there is another couple who are currently sitting in finance and are buying the car". I replied back with, "You guys already ran my credit with 4-5 hard inquiries and I was pre approved for that car this morning so why are you calling me to tell me the vehicle is being sold and not telling the couple that another customer has been pre approved and is picking up the car later." He claimed he spoke with his manager and he told him there was nothing that can be done. I asked that he call and speak with him again because just going through the pre approval and being hit with all of those hard inquiries hurt my credit significantly and would effect my interest rate if I were to go somewhere else for a vehicle. He said he was going to talk to him and call me back and never did. I attempted to contact Greg Dobbins the sales managers, RC, Trevor, or anyone else in the sales department but was ignored or left on hold. The only person who answered was a woman in the service department who was nothing but pleasant and was trying to help me the best she could, wish i would've gotten her name! Trevor called me back about 4-5 hours later, after the car was off the lot mind you , and at that point was ready to speak with me about my other options. Who does that?!?! I should've listened to everyone I know warn me about this Kia branch and how it was full of snakes but I decided to make my own judgement call, which was a giant mistake. I ended up getting the same car, same trim, BRAND NEW, at the Kia in Dublin and was treated with nothing but respect! After I was pre approved they immediately sent the car to detail and had it waiting by their show room when I arrived to sign paperwork. NOW THATS HOW ITS DONE! Stay far away from Folsom Lake Kia!
