Bought a wheelchair out of the box preassembled, test drove it and ok. Store Owner loaded it into my car. Two small screws fell out which he then just gave to me without checking. Worked fine for a couple weeks but then seat sagged. Bolts, not the screws he handed me, holding a bracket support either not installed or had fallen out because not tightened and so brackets slipped off. Subsequently, Owner showed another chair in box with brackets intact and now claims chairs ALWAYS come assembled correctly even though my chair was not given the loose screws out of the box. Owner refused to help. He could have given us the bolt-tightened bracket in the demo chair. read more

I had ordered a "bed wedge" through, oddly enough Home Depot, and was informed that it would be 15 days late, which was totally unacceptable since my surgery was in 3 days! I found Folsom Medical Supply through Google and called them at 5:15 on a Friday night and they had my item in the store. Since we were about 50 minutes away, I asked if they could please wait for my wife and I to get there. The manager/owner said they normally close at 6:00, but he would stay open for us. This was HUGE for me, since I absolutely needed to have this item on the day of my surgery. The manager/owner said he was happy to help me out. After the purchase, we spoke for awhile longer, and he was such a nice and very knowledgeable person. We soke for a time about medical devices and business in general. I highly recommend Folsom Medical for all your medical needs. I know I will go to him first for all my medical needs........so should you. And, having him right in town assures you that if he has it in stock, there's no risk like there is in online shopping. read more

Five Star Plus! My husband is handicapped and relies on having a chair that will lift him, support his back and allow him to sleep comfortably in a healthy position. We had previously (2 years ago) purchased a chair to meet his needs at a big box store, but the controller went out for the Second time in two years and was no longer under warranty so we were left with a nice armchair that is useless. Folsom Medical Supply listened to our needs, and had the perfect solution. They explained clearly and carefully how the chair operated as well as carefully going over a solid and sensible warranty and the company that stands behind it. Additionally, they offered us a most reasonable and fair price - as Seniors on a fixed income, they made the chair affordable, and with what we were able to save on the cost of the chair, we were able to arrange for same day delivery. He is just open for the MONEY he has no customer service and will not even help customers outside of the store. He needs to be out of business. My mom will not be going there again to purchase anything after not only the way she was treated but how I was treated by him. NEVER RENT FROM HIM EITHER. Be smart and stay away from here. This was one of the worst medical supply stores I've ever been to. It was so overpriced it was unbelievable. The same supplies are sold at other stores for 1/2 the price. To rent a hospital bed from Apria the cost was 1/4 the price! The female that helped us was so rude and condescending....not only that she and the store smelled like cigarettes! Horrible customer service, Mr Gopal(owner) very rude and unprofessional! Been waiting for more than a month for my mom's medical equipment (hospital bed, wheelchair, etc...) and still haven't gotten it, As per Mr. Gopal they need to get paid by insurance first before they release equipments. Been checking on what other documents is needed to expedite process and all he says is not to call him because he is to busy doing some other things. read more

Two weeks ago I was in the Sacramento area, and was looking for z-coil shoes. I searched on-line and Folsom Medical supply came up. I called to inquire whether they sold these shoes in store. The answer was yes and if my size wasn't on the shelf then they would order them. Fortunately the store was open, the staff was great! They were friendly and helpful!! Staff is extremely rude and disrespectful! I walked in to get a walker for my wife who had a fractured vertebrae. A sleazy looking man ordered me to wait until he was done with another customer. Which I did. In the meantime, a third customer walked in. When the man was done with the first customer, much to my surprise he went over to customer 3 to serve her, totally ignoring me. When I pointed out that it was my turn, the man at first seemed willing to serve me, but after a few seconds started lecturing me about patience and respect instead of showing me the walkers. Huh??? Recently, I had to purchase a walker and a shower chair because of foot surgery. I compared prices and availability at Folsom Medical Supply with just about every other medical supply business around. I found Folsom Medical Supply to be as good or better than the big locally owned or corporate medical supply stores in Roseville and Sacramento. Donna works at FMS and is a very helpful and a very kind little lady, and I do mean little, 5'2", with a small town down to earth business sense. I hope I never have to buy another durable medical equipment, but if I do, I will shop at Folsom Medical Supply first! read more

I'm not a fan of leaving negative reviews, but because I was so disappointed in this way this person acted toward the older shoppers in the store, I feel like it has to be said. In an effort to keep it simple, many of your customers may be older and need or deserve compassion. They may not hear well; they may be sad because their health or the health of a loved one, is declining and they need a wheelchair but can only afford so much. They may not understand certain things, but they certainly do understand when you're being unhelpful and maybe even a little rude. This place is a FRAUD and a SCAM. Don't waste your money and time at this place. On March 16, 2020, my family and I purchased a used hospital bed for $500. Upon negotiation over the phone, we were told that the bed is in good condition and that we will get everything (bed frame, mattress, crank, etc) as needed for the bed. We arrived and paid for the bed, then the lady took the bed out and said there should be everything that's needed for the bed. We weren't able to install the bed at ALL!! I went back to the store and spoke with the owner (the indian guy), and request for a refund or for him to provide proper equipments for me to install the bed (we didn't have the crank, missing handles, missing long bars to attach the side rails). The owner would not work with us. No refunds. No service. This place is a scam and fraud. This place will rob you and not give you proper items. I am filing a complaint to consumer protection and the district attorney. This place must be shut down!!!! read more

I have never before used this service but feel compelled to let people know about my recent experience with this company. I purchased a back support belt to take to the desert over Thanksgiving in anticipation of playing golf. I purchased the next size larger than the chart recommended upon the assurance that it would work/fit fine only because they didn't have the proper size. When I tried to use it in Palm Springs it simply didn't fit properly. After returning home from the holiday one week later to exchange for the proper size I was told they had just sold the last of my size but I could prepay and they would order the correct size XL. They refused to exchange the unused XXL saying I had had it too long (ten days). As I left I promised I would spread the word for them. So here it is. Buyer beware. I returned a shower transfer bench, which was 1) too big for the intended bathtub; and 2) came with a broken fastener piece; and I was met with suspicion. Was I not told that all sales were final? (No, I was not; surely you jest.) She decided to do me a favor by choosing to allow me a return. It was TOO BIG AND WITH A BROKEN PIECE, MIND YOU. She pointed to a small sign taped to the wall that said I would now be charged 25% of the purchase price for "restocking" this preassembled BROKEN piece of merchandise. (Are they hoping to sell it again and keep collecting fees on it?) So I owed them $25 for returning a broken, ill-fitting product? I politely questioned such extortion, and she offered me another favor by charging me only $15 for their apparent terrible inconvenience. I should be charging HER $25 for being sold a broken product and having to drive back to that store to struggle to return it. I advised her I would never be shopping there again and she questioned, incredulously, "Why? I gave you a discount!" Being forced to pay them $15 for nothing, and having to drive over there to do it, is a DISCOUNT?! Please, good and decent people, take your business elsewhere. read more

When I was looking for a scooter for my Mom, one of my friends recommended this business. I went there to find out more information about the scooters. They have 6 scooters in stock and the employee (I think Donna) explained the difference between all the scooters and advantages and disadvantages of each scooter. She also showed my how to break the scooter into 5 different parts in few minutes. My Mom drove the scooter around the shop and she liked it very much. We bought the scooter, now the scooter is my Mom's best friend. She goes to shopping in EDH town center with this scooter. I strongly recommend this shop for their quality products and service. On a Friday afternoon, I rented a wheelchair from Folsom Medical Supply at the weekly rate of $35.00. The following Thursday, I received a voicemail from them saying that the deadline for returning the equipment was that day. Confused as to why the weekly rental would be due back six days later, I called back, thinking there was a mistake. Donna told me that "you have to count the day you get it;" therefore, it was indeed due back on Thursday. By this rationale, a one-day rental would be due back the same minute it's rented.
