It's not a ship but it's the kind of place you are welcome to come and go from. Or stay on "deck" that day. So comfy it's hard to mention all of them. Cozy corners in and out. Even a basket of blankets at the front door if you are chilled. The lights on all the exterior lines of this beautiful Victorian lead you up the hill to home after a dinner at a local restaurant. And your take-away (or home-prepared food) is welcome in the guest frig. Guests congregate on the porches, in the gazebo, in the spacious game room, library, jigsaw puzzle room, and on the lawns all day. So much comfy seating at all times. (I think there are over 100 chairs of all kinds in this inn.) Four more amenities that also stand out are the different coffees and snacks you are welcome to all day and night; the USB connections in all guest rooms; the puzzles, games and books to convince you to relax; and the automatic lights throughout the common rooms that stay on until 1 am. Oh, and an Alexa speaker in the gazebo where you can play your favorite streaming music! Marcus and Elin have thought of everything.

And they even accommodated a last minute dietary request from me, which I should have made when we reserved the room. They were absolutely lovely, gracious and warm hosts. I truly look forward to going back. Thank you Marcus and Elin! Love, Emily and Justin

It has new house smell and was pristine. The rooms are larger than I thought with good sized closets. I needed a desk for the week and the owners were very kind to bring one to the room for me. By the way - most folks are out for the day so the WiFi was better than my company jet pack! Definitely a plus. Breakfast this week landed around 9a and I had meetings during that time. They were so gracious to have a plate ready or welcome me to the porch table for privacy. Pros: - Their wine is delicious and their origin story is very interesting. Schedule a tasting ($10)! - Breakfast was delicious every day and includes ingredients from their garden - Local coffee served. And, it's good! - Beautiful, clean home - Knowledgeable owners - Close to several wineries - Short drive to town (restaurants) - beautiful area, super relaxing Cons: - Most wineries close at 5pm - TV in my room was *very* small. We didn't use it often so no stars taken.

We all had our own private domicile and bed rooms with a private bath and they were so kind to provide us with a beautiful brunch in the am and even provided a bottle or two of delicious locally made wine . Gail and Gary are just wonderful people who invite you in to share a piece of their home. We are a younger couple (early 30s and late 20s), so in some B&Bs I find a bit of fussiness from the proprietors that makes me feel like I am in a museum rather than a relaxing, homey sanctuary. Well that is NOT a problem here! Wicker Garden is personable. Guests have access to a common living room with fireplace and cozy couch, snacks, wine glasses, mugs, coffee, tea, etc. We sat here one evening chatting away with Gail and Gary, then ordered a pizza delivery. Gail provided us with plates and everything we needed to enjoy a night in (in our amazing accommodations, which brings me to the room....) Rose room- spacious, with a stately canopy bed, a gas fireplace, a couch and a huge bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and plenty of hot water. It was truly our sanctuary for a wintry weekend. The bed had beautiful coverlets and sheets, down pillows. I don't sleep as well at home! And even on 0 degree days, it was plenty toasty all day and night. Now what's a B&B without a wonderful breakfast? This one was top notch. Great, fragrant coffee served in large one-of-a-kind mugs. It seems like a baked fruit, a warm bread and an egg dish makes a basic template for what to expect, and Gail can accommodate any dietary needs. Finally, the grounds/location are picturesque. I only regret I forgot to read or ask about the history of the property. There is a red barn and plenty of open surrounding fields, stars out bright at night. Even snow covered, it looks like the cover of a story book. I highly recommend a stay here. You really can't go wrong. And it was conveniently located for wine touring and proximity to the town of Auburn.
