Cayuga Shoreline is awesome and the view! Gone are the old railings which opens up the deck to front row lake views. Although we didn't have food we did have a few of their adult beverage creations. The cocktail menu is creative without trying too hard. The drinks were delicious and well balanced. They also had a good selection of local wines. Sarah was incredibly attentive and a great server. Whether you're passing through or spending the weekend in the Finger Lakes, make this a must-stop. Ask for Sarah and let her guide you through their drink list--you won't be disappointed. read more

Review Had my wedding here in September 2025. The venue was mostly beautiful and the food was amazing. However, the management and the coordinator were an absolute nightmare. We booked the venue and the lodging on site almost a year in advance. In March we were informed that we actually couldn't have Friday or Saturday night as we had booked. The stated reason was a transcription error when changing to a new booking system, but that switch had happened several months prior. And when we visited and spoke to the venue a couple weeks before getting this news, the coordinator told us a couple was trying to book Saturday (the day before ours) and "would spare no expense." The lodging was a major reason we booked this place, and, while the venue did give us some discounts to make up for it, nothing really made me up for having everyone stay in separate places the night before and having to travel to the venue day of, which is what we were trying to avoid. Any time we tried to bring that up, they just offered to cancel our contract and let us go somewhere else entirely, which wasn't really an option 4 months out. Aside from the lodging issues, the coordinator caused a lot of stress and issues. She was lovely in the early stages and always willing to do whatever we wanted, but the closer we got the more that changed. On several occasions, she told myself or a family member one thing, and then changed her mind shortly after and claimed she never did. Some examples: ⁃ On Friday, she told myself grandmother my family could get inside the venue at 9am on Sunday to decorate. When the showed up, she said "who told you you could get here at 9?" ⁃ Two weeks before the wedding, she told me we didn't have to worry about cleaning up Sunday night or anything because the restaurant wouldn't be open anyway. When we showed up Sunday morning, she said we had to be cleaned up by 9am the next morning. The restaurant was not open to the public until Friday. ⁃ She told us we could rehearse at 4pm the day before and have dinner at O'Malley's next door after, which she confirmed several times was all set up. When we arrived, the wedding was actively happening so we couldn't rehearse then. When we decided to eat first and then rehearse, she told us they weren't prepared because we never called to set it up, even though she said it was taken care of. ⁃ We were supposed to arrive by boat, which they had set up for us for free to make up for some of their mistakes. The day of the wedding it was very windy. She said it probably isn't a good idea. I checked the weather and it said it would be fine by the ceremony time. She told me to let her know by 3. By 2:30 it was much better, but when I told her she said it was far too late that's already been canceled. So we had to rework our whole entrance 2 hours before the ceremony. ⁃ We had several people cancel on us about 2 weeks before the wedding, but after the final payment. They didn't have to give us a refund for the but said they would. They kept pushing the ball down the road with when our refund would come until the wedding had passed and they stopped answering messages. Those are just a few examples of the several times she either forgot what she told us or decided to change it. Every single person who interacted with her at my wedding told me they had a negative experience with her. Also they need pest control. There were millions of spiders all over their place. So many that some guests outright refused to stay at the very expensive lodging we paid for. Again, everything else was quite nice, and the wedding as a whole turned out good. I expected coordinator Katie to make our lives easier, not substantially harder. And we think we way over paid for the experience we got. We definitely wouldn't have booked here if we knew what we know now. read more

Friendly staff, great views and upscale menu, this place is owned by same owners of O'Malleys which is next door. Both are right on Cayuga Lake, just down the street from Sheldrake Winery. Get a Burger and a beer at Omalleys in cabin feeling with fire pit or go next door at newer venue, Cayuga Shores, for cocktails, espresso and finer fare on front deck or inside modern interior . Both have AC and feature local wines and spirits. These folks also cater! We cant wait to check out more! We drive wine tours around the Finger Lakes and are always looking for good places for sit down meal open 7 days a week. Try the lobster roll and clams!! read more

Sub par experience here. Made a reservation on a Sunday night at 6:30 for a party of 4. We were seated immediately and had a great view of Cayuga lake. Aaaaaand then we went downhill from there. They were out of so many things! Namely some of their cocktails, some beers, and the lobster rolls. It got annoying to be told they were out of stuff to the point that I was ready to ask, "Why don't you tell us what you DO have?" The food was good, I'll say that much. It took over an hour for us to get our appetizers. I'm not sure if the duck wings take a long time, but then they should let us know ahead of time that they take a while. Our food was not well presented. It was just kinda thrown on the basket. The service was the worst part. We had to ask for drinks multiple times before the waiter actually brought them out. The water had a weird salty taste to it. When I went to use the restroom I noticed the bar was covered with used glasses and the inside of the restaurant was empty. Mind you, there were still a few empty tables outside too. We also observed that tables weren't being bussed, despite them not being busy. Definitely doesn't look like a great environment. Went to a spanish seafood wine dinner in collaboration with Damiani Winery. We love Damiani wine but had not been to any event at Cayuga Shoreline. Got to say, food quality was AMAZING! Lobster Bisque, Oysters in a warm lemon butter, fresh anchovies in a mustard seed vinaigrette and grilled tuna all were spot on with fantastic flavor combinations. Top notch high end restaurant quality and presentation. The only miss of the night was the seafood paella as it was ok but did not have the flavor development of a good paella. Went to Cayuga shoreline for their grand opening event on Saturday! They had a food truck, inside bar, and porch bar. It seems like they are mostly operating as a wedding/event venue but they hosted a grand opening with live music for the public. The drinks were very good and the location is beautiful. The inside looks like it would be a little small for a 200+ wedding but is gorgeous for a smaller wedding. They had a photo booth and lawn games for the grand opening. I'd love to see them host a bunch of pop up public events like this next summer on days they don't have weddings booked! read more

My husband and I had our wedding here. Our day was perfect despite the weather trying it's best to ruin it. Much of the success was due to how amazing the staff were, from setting up a indoor and outdoor ceremony options, helping us pivot depending on what the weather was doing, making sure we had everything we needed.
