I would sleep on the floor for Jeanette's breakfasts. And plan to order their homemade pizza and salad one night. It could be the best dinner of your trip. The house faces a gorgeous view of Lake Kueka, the Luna suite was spacious and comfortable, the bed was great, and each room has an en-suite bathroom. The whole house was spotless. We also took advantage of Steven's wine tour, letting him choose the destinations (excellent and varied) and drive so we could enjoy the tastings. He delivered a beautiful charcuterie board at our third stop. After a hard day of vineyard visits, we played pool, darts, and cornhole in Moonshadow's well stocked game room. Away from our temporary home, we visited the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, hiked to several waterfalls around Ithaca (Buttermilk Falls was our favorite), and enjoyed the Corning Museum of Glass. On Jeanette and Steven's recommendation, we stopped by the Muranda dairy farm in Waterloo for a cheese tasting. It was fabulous! Watkins Glen State Park is less than an hour away and you could even add a day trip to Niagara Falls. Whatever you do during the days, plan to start and end them at Moonshadow!

The location on Keuka Lake is serene and picturesque, with a small waterfall on the property. It is close to the Azure Hill, Dr. Franck, Heron Hill and Keuka Lake wineries. My wife and I stayed for four nights. The newly renovated rooms were large and comfortable. The coffee was ready early. The breakfasts were delicious. Whether we had eggs, bagels and lox, pancakes, or muffins, everything was well prepared and expertly presented. If wineries is your thing, Steven will chauffeur you around to some really nice ones, and throw in a brewery to boot. In the evenings, Jeanette and Steven are engaging to talk to and fun to be with. You will be happy if you go.

If you are extra lucky, they might even serenade you. I have been here twice, and both times stayed in the room with the bath that is disconnected from the room. It is NOT a shared bath, it is just a few steps outside the room. Not a big deal at all and it's HUGE. Paradise on the Lake is a great home base when exploring the gorgeous Finger Lakes. I won't stay anywhere else.

The decor was nicely done and the room was stocked with everything we needed. The pool is very nice as well. Overall, the resort was quiet and the staff was super friendly. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING. I don't know that I've ever had a better breakfast anywhere else. My only wish was that the chairs outside the Seneca room were Adirondacks rather than metal chairs with cushions. It rained quite a bit, but when it wasn't raining, we were unable to sit on them because the cushions were wet. Overall, I highly recommend this B&B for a great location and experience!

The B& B was impossible to find at night...or even during the day & a little dangerous to cross a railroad track then make a sudden sharp right turn down a hill !! Breakfasts were very good and I especially enjoyed eating outside on the sunny patio with a view. I thought the price was a little high for my room as I have spent many a year in B&B's......The excellent wineries abound in the area and for that reason I recommend...

The view from any room is gorgeous, be sure to take advantage of the hot tub outside to really capture the tranquility the lake has to offer. Breakfast is delicious top of the line! Extremely reasonable prices for the area. We came here with another couple and had an amazing time, the fire pit outside on the lake makes for a great place to sip local wine and catch up with friends! The fridge in the room is great for bringing back local cheese and wine. Also the keurig in the room is well stocked and convenient. The driveway is steep going down to the inn but well worth the breathtaking views! We've stayed other places on the lake and nautical nights takes the cake!

The hosts, Greg and Lilly were gracious and kind and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They were super conscious of my husband's allergies, to the point of getting locally sourced duck eggs to prepare his breakfast, as he's allergic to chicken eggs. Speaking of which - the breakfasts were amazing each day! Another couple there mentioned that they had never stayed in a B&B before and were commenting on how great it was - but this B&B is head and shoulders above any we've ever stayed at - I hope they don't expect this level of wonderfulness at every place they stay in the future, because the Beekman House is unique. I actually wish we had a hot tub instead - there's nothing better than a warm hot tub on a cool night. There was an enclosed porch as well as a deck in the room. The bathroom was a little dated as far as style, but like I said it was huge. The property itself is large and very beautiful. The owners' son (I think he was 10) took us on a tour to see the dogs and goats.

I was slightly nervous about previous reviews, but realized those were issues with the previous owners. Do NOT let old reviews deter you! Penny, the amazing new Innkeeper, is extremely personable and attentive and has renovated many of the rooms since she purchased the Inn. I was welcomed with hospitality and the accommodations were outstanding. My room was clean, absolutely huge, and the bathroom had a jetted tub with a picture window of the beautiful views! I watched the sun rise while soaking in the tub a couple of mornings and it was simply divine. The property is magnificent and the views are absolutely spectacular from every angle! The common areas are elegant, yet comfy and the dining area boasts floor to vaulted ceiling windows that frame the view beautifully. Perfect sitting areas to sit, chat, relax, and soak in the scenery. Every morning we were greeted with freshly ground coffee and were asked what we wanted for breakfast. My first morning I requested a "kitchen sink" omelet that Penny made with all fresh ingredients and it was absolutely delicious. The fresh bananas from the market were the best I'd ever had in my life. I enjoyed sitting at the bar chatting with Penny while she glided effortlessly through the kitchen. I am sure she would laugh to hear me say that, but it's true :) Penny helped us set up a wine and brewery tour that we thoroughly enjoyed. She recommended Kismet New American Bistro for an elegant dinner. I must say, she has excellent taste because this petite restaurant completely blew me away! The food was absolutely exquisite and the staff was extremely personable. Penny also recommended a short walk from Kismet to the Historic Naples Hotel for karaoke and to experience a little Naples nightlife. Everyone we met along the way was inviting and charming. Our visit to Naples would not have been as magical without Penny and her beautiful Vagabond Inn! I will definitely be visiting the Vagabond again....and again...

They are wonderful, warm people who make staying in their B&B so relaxing and comfortable. The grounds are spectacular and so is Mary's cooking. Every day we had a delicious breakfast and a "bottomless" cookie jar with home baked treats. We like sitting with the other guests in the morning, getting to know other people from near and far. We've gotten great tips about interesting places to visit from the other guests as well as Mary and Peter. If we are really lucky, we will be able to get back there in the fall!

Tammy and Dave were terrific about accommodating our food allergies (gluten, dairy, and soy) and went all out for breakfast: coconut yogurt with gluten free granola, accompanied by yummy toppings, even pancakes and muffins. What a treat! We're usually limited to eggs and bacon - we had that too! We'll be back when visiting the area and highly recommend this inn.
