Absolutely terrible experience with Fonzarelli's. We first contacted them on December 4th to get all four rims replaced through our warranty company. From the beginning, communication was a mess--they rarely returned our calls and we had to constantly follow up just to get basic updates. The tech we were assigned to was barely ever at the shop because he worked at multiple locations, and unfortunately, he never handed off our case to anyone else. To make things worse, he clearly didn't understand the process to complete a warranty claim, which delayed everything even further. Now it's April 10th, and we just found out they also weren't returning calls from the warranty company. That's over four months wasted with absolutely no progress, all because of disorganization and lack of professionalism. I had been putting off replacing my tires since the fall because we were waiting for them to replace the rims. Anyone knows you don't mount new tires twice if you don't have to. My parents had two cars fixed there and each time they did an awesome job. AAA told me to go to Midtown Collision in Newton and it was over a month for them to even get half the parts to fix my car with no communication whatsoever. So I went to Fonzarelli's instead. They took a week to get all the parts, paint and fix my car. It literally looks brand new and like nothing ever happened to it. They even cleaned the inside. If you want your car done the right way from honest people who don't overcharge by trying to upsell crap you don't need or charge you with insane hour labor rates and do a perfect job, go to this place. read more

The service I requested was a front bumper repair and spoiler repainted which was done within a week in a half. The quality of the service was excellent and my vehicle look like new they even washed it and vacuumed the inside. Wonderful experience with Fonzarellis everytime my family brings in a car. Another auto body shop had quoted me nearly $1,000 more in more repairs to fix my vehicle. And they said the quote would increase once they got started on the project and found other issues. They then flat out refused to fix it - causing a lot of grief with my insurance and essentially forcing me to purchase a new vehicle. The team at Fonzarellis and the managers not only fixed my car within 3 weeks, it cost significantly less and they were so friendly throughout the process. They are very attentive to customers and value long term partnerships with them by ensuring the work is done right, it lasts and it's cost effective. Not many auto body shops I trust these days, but these guys are 100% the best in Northern NJ. I traveled an hour and a half just to use them and will continue to come back. read more

Made a appointment in June for a minor body repair in August, so the work could be done while I was away for a week on vacation, with the understanding that I would pick up the car on Saturday AM when I returned from vacation. I came home a day early to get my vehicle and it was not in the parking lot. On Monday I went to Fonzarellis to check on my vehicle and they said they needed several more days! I asked why it was taking so long for a minor repair and it was a big inconvenience to me and they should of at least called to let me know so I could make alternate arragements. They couldn't care less. No apology, nothing other than check back on Wednesday and we will let you know if its ready. I wouldn't not recommend this shop, terrible customer service attitude. read more

We took my car to Fonzarelli's to have the roof repaired, windshield changed and back window trim reglued which came loose when a tree fell on my car during this past December's ice storm, and we were pulling frozen branches off the car. We brought it in before the start of the Covid crisis. They had my car for over a month, which is fine since we weren't going anywhere. When they called and said we could come to get the car, the trim which had been discussed was not glued, and the passenger side trim between the doors was ridiculously scratched up. The roof looked great though... we asked them to please repair the damage to the panel of trim ( sadly, we did not take a picture of that) that were NOT there when we dropped off the car, and to please refasten the rear window trim as originally discussed. We got a bit of a flat attitude, .... When we came back again, ( mind you I had to take time out of work for the first two trips up there) they had buffed out the damage they did to the door trim, for the most part, ( you can still see the scratches but much better), but the rear window trim was STILL unglued. So we left the car again. We returned that night to pick it up, and only HALF the trim was glued. I suggested just taking the car somewhere else to have it repaired, and Harry now came out with now a very unfriendly attitude and in about 12 seconds had glued the other side of the trim. I mean, come on! So , since we are nervous being out, and the attitude was now unfriendly, we just took the car and I drove my car home. So since these are covid times, we had not really used the car at all for a week or so. So finally making a food store run, I got in on the passenger side to see gouges all along the side of the console which 100% were NOT there when we dropped the car off. Also, they could not be bothered to glue back my remote start sensor that now flops loose in front of the rear view mirror. I have not had the car back long enough to note if the roof has any leak issues, I hope not. The roof looks good, but the devil is in the details my friends.. don't tell this shop that they missed something, or they get cold with you.. and still never finish the small details. So now, I had to go there 3 times, and will still have to source a product to stick the sensor to the window as Fonzarelli's should have. The gouged console? Since I did not get in on the passenger side to drive my car home that day, I guess I am out of luck and will have to find a way to get it touched up. They did a nice job on the large issue ( the roof) but finishing, details, and attitude toward a customer who had to come back 3 times as they forgot, leaves much to be desired. And the damage was upsetting also- this was a car in nearly new shape. read more

I can confirm all the Google reviews which state that the gentlemen at Fonzarelli's are indeed honest and fair! I brought in my Mazda 6 for a potential brake issue, having heard metal-on-metal screeching. They politely informed me it was nothing more than brake dust, and that I had 50% remaining on both fronts and rears. Very relieved. Their shop has comfortable seating, an area with children's toys, a desk/wifi for those with laptops, in addition to a handful of retro pinball machines! I will be a customer here on out for sure assuming this type of integrity continues! read more

I started hearing my brakes squeal so I made an appointment in September 2021. Two days prior to my appointment I had already got an oil change on my car and told them I only needed my brakes to be checked. Ryan called me back and said everything was fine and I could pick the car up and I felt unsure because I know my brakes were making a noise so he said he'll check again. Suddenly my brakes and rotors were bad and needed to be changed. They charged me 500$ and charged me for an oil change too even tho I told them I didn't need one. It's now February 2022 and my brakes and rotors are making the worst noise as if they're rusted and old. They'll scam you. I've never had a bad experience with an auto repair at Fonzarelli's. The staff is friendly and professional, I'm never sold anything I don't need. My Jeep and I are always treated with respect, and repairs are always very competitively priced and completed efficiently and effectively. My new truck had a huge dent in the rear panel caused by valet parking at Newark Airport. (Just an aside, never, never use valet parking at Newark Airport .) I did not have a good experience at Fonzarell's. My son brought my car in because the engine light was on and it was not handling well. The quote for the engine work was over $500 and he was told that he had 24 hrs. to make up his mind or he would be charged $200 for having them look at it and that if he waited longer the $200 fee would be added to the bill. The handling issues were never addressed. He authorized the work as he could not afford the additional charge. The car was brought back for the handling issues and suddenly transmission and oil leaks were noted which were never mentioned before and there was a quote of approx. $1500. Again the handling issues were not addressed. I did not authorize the work and when I went to pick it up the car it reeked of hydraulic fluid which it did not do before. They refused to clean it up and I was shouted at and told to never come back and that my son must "stink" which is causing the odor. There are plenty of honest and pleasant auto repair businesses in Sussex county to use who do not scream at their customers and distort facts to suit their own purposes.
