I brought in my suburban for an oil change and requested they check my breaks as I had been hearing a "grinding" sound for about 2 weeks. When picking up my car I asked about the breaks, I was told the front breaks were close to needing replacement but wouldn't need them until the next oil change. I asked what could be causing the grinding and was told it was metal fibers in the break pads. I left feeling a little better I had checked on my car for the safety of my family but still felt the grinding when breaking. 1 week later and I looked closely at my front rotor and see it's shredded. I'm so disgusted that these men would let me leave with an unsafe car and basically diminished my concerns. I will never return. read more

These guys overbooked and just cant handle the volume they're doing now. I made an appt a week ahead of time and got my truck there when we agreed but they let it sit in their lot for three hours because they put someone in front of me. My family and I have been going to Sparta Tire for almost 20 years. I have personally driven a lot of lemons, and they've always been up front and honest with me about my repairs, and are so kind. They have NEVER overcharged me or done things that weren't 100% necessary. Everyone always says that mechanics will try to swindle you, or pull one over on you, especially if you're a woman... not Sparta Tire. Not ever. Their work is of the highest quality and their manner is the same. I recommend them to everyone. If I were on a road trip and broke down, my worst nightmare would be having to go to another shop. I went to get an oil change 40 minutes before they closed. There was one car in the garage and nothing else going on. They told me that they were closed when it was only 5:20. Other places I've been have taken only 15 minutes for an oil change so I'm not sure why they were not willing to work on my car before they actually closed. Then when I went the next day, I was the first one there before opening and I saw two people waiting outside after I got there. They were trying to have one of their buddies with go in front of me. Thankfully, I spoke up and they took my car first. Overall poor customer service and poor attitude. Not going back. read more

These guys are great! Not only do they do fantastic work, but their customer service is second to none. You may have to wait a bit, but considering the volume of cars they work on, they do a damn good job!!! I've been going here about 15 years and these guys are completely trustworthy. I'm elderly but I'm not dumb. My husband is handicapped and I can always just let him go alone and be well taken care of. I've never had them suggest anything that isn't necessary. They do however keep track of everything that is due so I always maintain guarantee with the dealership. their prices are always lower than the dealership. they are worth more than 5 stars to me! read more

I recently built a shed in my yard so I was not surprised when I got a flat tire on my pickup truck. The closest tire service place was Sparta tire so I decided to give them a try. I filled up my tire with air and went down to Sparta tire where I asked them to plug my tire. While I was waiting I noticed my tire off my rim and a technician using a grinder on my wheel. I immediately asked the guy at the front counter what was going on since I only wanted a plug. We both went to the back and spoke to the tech. He stated that the leak was from the rim itself and not the tire. I knew this was wrong since I found the leak before I left the house. Again I asked for a plug. Magically the nail appeared when I pointed it out to him and he had the nerve to tell me that wasn't the leak. Since the tech had his grinder on my 4 year old wheels he had to apply large amounts of sealant(black goup). What effect this will have on my rim in the future I do not know. I wouldn't even be writing this if the extremely rude man at the front desk wasn't such an a$$. Plus he charged me 25 dollars for this service. I will not be a return customer read more

Bad,bad,bad. Sent my parents out with new tires without tightening the lug nuts. They had an appt. for 1:30 and didn't get the truck in till 3:45. went for alignment after installing new tires and less the 2mo. tires were worn down to the threads (neg camber) went to a reliable shop and tech went over specs and verified nothing was done/adjusted.. tires were not cheap Bridgestone runflats 390ea. x2/ just ordered another 2 to replace. read more
