While his schedule was very busy, John told me he could work it in on Monday and replace the serpentine belt. (I later found out that the serpentine belt broke because of a frozen alternator). To be fair, I called and let him know. No problem, he would still get to it on Monday. They should mention this was the quickest I could get this done. Had the vehicle brought over on Sunday and by 11 o'clock in the morning on Monday I received a call stating it was all finished and ready to pick up. It was right in the ballpark of what I expected it to be pricewise. I was impressed that he was very customer oriented, hard-working and very knowledgeable. I now have a new mechanic I can go to when problems arise. I would not hesitate. The only issue that might make things take a little longer is he is a one-man shop. With other shops in the area closing it increases the demand for the existing ones. To me, it would be worth waiting for because of the quality of the work. The next time I have a mechanical problem I know where I am going.

After evaluating my Ford I was told that there was a Technical Bulletin that came out from Ford several years ago. I am impressed that they did the research to evaluate my car. They told me I did NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. I only needed an update on the vehicle computer. Here's the numbers. Ford wanted $3500 for a rebuilt transmission. A new transmission was $6000. Final cost at Scotty's $150 to evaluate $250 to upload the new software Total $400.00 Can't say enough good things about this place. Talk about trusting a Mecanic!!!
