    Rotten pork chops
    Jonathan L.

I used to swear by this place for years until tonight. Bought a pack of pork chops that were supposed to be good until the 9th but I opened the package to find grey, spoiled meat that was slimy, smelly and was forming white pus. Good reminder for everyone to always look at the meat you're about to buy under different lighting and smell the package. Won't be grocery shopping here again.

This is a great addition to the Cliffside Park area for all the Koreans and other Asians/lovers of Korean food! I've been there over the last few years and I'll share what I found out: 1. Spacious and Clean - Space is cavernous and easy to get around. It helps that the parking lot is nice-sized and not too crazy in terms of traffic. 2. Great Meat and Seafood Selection - They have all the cuts that Koreans often are looking for (e.g. sliced ribeye for bulgogi, pork belly, etc.) and have fresh seafood section where you can ask for bags of fresh shrimp and fillet. Quality is pretty good, esp. the meat, and the price reasonable. I found myself getting meat from here over H-Mart on some occasions as H-Mart Fort Lee is pricier in many vis-a-vis comparisons. 3. Caters to Latino Community - Though it does not feel like a Latino supermarket like F.B's other locations, it does have many latino food items in order to cater to the latino community in Cliffside Park/Fairview area. This is a great thing, but it does also mean you might not find some specific Korean packaged goods that you might otherwise find in H-Mart Fort Lee. I experienced this first hand a few times, though not a big deal. 4. Airconditioning is out of control - During summer, this place is WAY too cold, like 45 F inside cold. They might be thinking the whole supermarket is their fridge. I'm not sure what's going on but I'd highly recommend turning that down a notch. 5. Some higher-end items absent - Its positioning is decidedly more blue-collar hispanic customer so you won't find certain higher-end gourmet items here such as whole bean coffee, selections of cheese, etc. So don't come here to get brie cheese with fig jam, for instance. It's not necessarily a bad thing. It's just a different value proposition. Overall, I highly recommend Food Bazaar for low to mid-end grocery items, fresh and affordable meat/seafood/produce and robust selection of Korean/Asian fares.

We had a really bad experience at the fairlawn store. We bought three packs of meats and they were all gone bad within three days in the fridge. We called the store right away and they said they have 48 hour exchange and nothing they can do. We used to have great experiences but this is very disappointing.

    Over priced tomahawk
    Giovanni C.

I just realized I over paid for a Tomahawk Steak, $47 ($16.99 lb.). They are charging DOUBLE the price from any other meat butcher. Be advised and shop elsewhere. I had no idea I could have bought this piece of meat half the price I paid. You just lost a customer food bazaar, crooks!!!

First layer of short ribs that SEEM good, which is actually hiding completely meatless bone strips... look to next 2 pictures..
    Susan L.

My aunt bought 2 packs of short ribs (galbi) here this morning. Both packs looked great from the outside and each bone had meat on it. Unfortunately, only the first layer of meat (what you can see from the picture) was of good quality. She was so upset and felt so cheated when she got home, as the second and third layers were basically just bones with the meat carved off. It is clear that it was intentional because the meatless portions were hidden underneath the one layer of GOOD meat... I didn't want to come to the conclusion that they purposely did this but, seeing past reviews from other customers, it is clear that this is an ongoing issue that they have yet to address and resolve since February. Please be careful when you shop here!! Or check the meat before you take it home if you don't want to end up with 2/3 of your anticipated serving portion unfulfilled...

Strings of bones. Meat had been carved out
    John S.

I'm really disappointed and feel cheated! Bought a pack of short ribs (or what they call flanken ribs) and inside the pack had strips of bones without meat. When looking at the packaging, the outer layer looked like normal slices of meat. Once I got into the package, there were multiple slices where the meat had been carved out and left the bones. Packaging was deceiving and I ended up paying for a string of bones. It's definitely not how the meat is supposed to be, it's obvious that they had cut out the meat and short change paying customers. Pics to be posted. After feeling cheated, I'll never come back here again! Going to three different supermarkets (Costco, Hmart, and Shop Rite) is just worth the hassle than feeling deceived.

    Nice fruit selection.

Molded Cheese. Flowers last one day…read more High prices (Please read my full review) I am writing this with a heavy heart because I genuinely enjoy coming here for occasional groceries. The cashiers and staff are always sweet, professional, and straight to the point without forcing awkward conversation. Management is approachable, and the team is consistently kind. I wish I could shop here all the time, but the astronomical price markups across basic items make that impossible. It's been like this as far as I can remember dating back to well before 2016. I reached out in writing through their website form months ago to share this feedback directly, but I never received a response. I am posting publicly now hoping this review reaches the right people in leadership. I also strongly encourage other shoppers to speak up about these issues, because customer voices are often the only way real change happens. My primary concerns come down to pricing and severe quality control: -Astronomical Prices: The markups here are startling compared to other stores, especially on everyday staples like dairy, poultry, and even basic rice. Seeing non organic blueberries priced at $8.99 right in the middle of peak blueberry season is a prime example. These inflated prices keep inventory sitting on shelves far too long. -Specialty Cheeses: I have always relied on this store for their selection of cheeses for charcuterie boards and entertaining, and I am very knowledgeable about gourmet cheese. Over the last couple of months, nearly every special cheese I have purchased including Pecorino, Manchego, Gouda, and Cheddar has developed visible green or white mold that turns bright green after just one day in the fridge. Even cheese that is not expired or on special smells distinctly off right out of the package. The manager was very gracious when I brought a package back, but this points to a deeper inventory or temperature issue. -Floral Department: The flower quality has been equally disappointing. My loved one and I have purchased bouquets here over the past six months, and they collapse within a day or two. A recent bunch of sunflowers did not even last a few hours in an air conditioned room. It feels as though fading stems might be dyed to look deceptively fresh on the display floor. I remember decorative pumpkins were on sale here for nearly $30. When items like cheese and flowers spoil almost immediately, it naturally creates doubt about other perishable departments. How can shoppers trust the freshness of the poultry, or know that expired cheeses are not being repurposed in the hot foods section? Revisiting these price points would help move food out faster so we can depend on fresh stock. If you have noticed similar issues, please consider leaving a review or speaking with management as well so leadership takes this feedback seriously. I truly value the team and want to feel confident in the food I buy here.

The prices are always fair, I can almost always find whatever it is that I'm looking for, and the people who work here are always friendly and helpful. If it weren't for those factors I would have given this review a two star instead of a three star. I found a piece of plastic inside of my pre-made pico de gallo and I almost swallowed it. I would normally expect greater quality even from pre-made items so I express myself disappointed. At first I thought it was a piece of onion but the texture of the material was unbreakable and flexed like soft plastic. This has never happened before and I can honestly say that I hope that it won't happen again. I will still come in to purchase my groceries here regularly because there are no better grocery stores in the neighborhood, but they do need to be more careful in the future, especially since they are handling food.

It offers a wide range of gourmet items you may not find nearby elsewhere, plus everyday items. Items that drive me to this store include their imported cheese selection (especially when they have French Brie on a great sale,) Michael's of Brooklyn Puttanesca, (my favorite jarred sauce,) smoked sable, and Miyoko's cheeses (especially the pourable liquid plant Mozzarella perfect for homemade pizza). Lincoln Market has a good range of produce, but there are also other grocers these days that offer comparable including at same or lower prices. (Note - There's Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Lidl, Target and Shop Fare are only a stone's throw away.) There's also fresh sushi. Their coffee and confection range is nice, too. Of special interest, Lincoln Market offers a range of prepared foods that may be of interest to some, but I'm one to more cook at home versus buying that stuff. That being said, it's well stocked and the staff I've asked for help have been extremely friendly - making Lincoln Market an enjoyable place to shop. One could easily make it a one-stop grocery shop, but again on many items found elsewhere locally you may find a better price.
