Make sure to check your receipt after checkout. I've been shopping at H-Mart Linwood Plaza for a while, and honestly, it feels like I'm getting scammed every time. Out of every 10 visits, at least 7 times I've been overcharged because the cashier doesn't scan items correctly or prices don't match the label. Today, I bought napa cabbage--exactly the same type--and one was charged $9 while another was $4. When I asked for a refund, they only subtracted $1.60 instead of the full difference. This is ridiculous and unacceptable for a store of this size. I love H-Mart products, but I can't trust that I'm being charged correctly. They need to fix their pricing system and train staff properly. Still a tight store for pushing a cart into, and the parking lot a miserable area given the one-way lanes and some people trying to back into spots they have no business trying to (overrunning the curb and endangering the pedestrian there). Gotta love H-Mart's... but not all H-Mart's are stocked the same. I always like to take a stroll into any H-Mart I see, because I love snacks! And, my guilty pleasure is the novelty potato-like chips and snacks. The BEST onion rings I have ever had are these bad boys. You will NOT be disappointed when you try these. Baked, not fried, light and fluffy with a slight crunch, and packed with flavor. I believe they are wheat puff rings. I also like to shop around for random things. You will find some of the best stuff if you keep searching. They have a fresh seafood section, cafe and meat deli. Plenty of parking since it is located in a shopping center. read more

This store is amazing. I'm from southern California. I had no idea I would find the most amazing Korean market, ever!! In the San Fernando valley, where I live, they don't have markets like this (except in Koreatown which is somewhat of a drive). Everyone is friendly. The store is well organized and well stocked. They have every type of Korean delicatessen you could wish for. The Tous les Jours bakery, located inside, is amazing and so charming. Everything is fresh, well stocked, and delicious, especially their honey cheese pancakes. Although I haven't tried their cakes, they look delicious. I will be taking full advantage of this place while I'm here. read more

Came here one day after work and this place is Awesome. They make food fresh, from sushi to spicy chicken and kimpap (Korean sushi). It is part of strip mall and parking is plentiful. They also have lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, you can do your grocery shopping here. I think this place is better than 99 ranch in terms of fresh produce. This H Mart is not that great. Ever since the Little Ferry one has been renovated, I've been spoiled by the selection and cleanliness that that one has to offer. We only ever come to this H Mart if we're visiting my in-laws, who live in town, and we need to pick something up - usually produce. I feel like the selection in general isn't as good as the other locations, and the aisles are definitely a bit more cramped. Like I said, it's fine if you just need to grab something quick, but if you are looking to actually shop, then I highly recommend Little Ferry, or even Ridgefield. read more

Quite a disappointing store. First, despite the huge size of the store, the selection is actually quite thin unless you are looking for something that is very Korean. I'm not talking about exotic products -- they don't even carry the major brands of very popular Chinese products, for example. Worst part is the pricing -- same Walmart quality stuff being sold for 2x or more. Even bottles of sauces etc sold for 50% more. It's gotten a little worse, originally they would bag your stuff for you, Now Aug 1,2023 they leave it out on the side, even though you brought your own bag. This was just one of the new cashiers I didn't recognize. The regular cashiers greet you and say hi. New cashiers might just need training on good customer service. read more

There are so many H Marts is this area and I feel like this one is one of the smaller ones. It's a strip mall so parking is shared. A decent sized lot but it does fill up. Inside is clean and well organized. The pre made food is not as good of a selection as other H Marts but still pretty good. There's a bakery here as well. There fresh seafood is in the back. Plenty of lobsters. Plenty of registers and check moves pretty quickly. read more

This is one of the better hmart I've been to. It's really big and their Covid protocol is good. They give out gloves in the front if you want to shop with them on and also have sanitizers out. The selection is also huge. We were able to find everything we wanted and more! read more

My family visited this Fort Lee Hmart for the first time this past weekend and really enjoyed our experience. As with a suburban supermarket, it's best to get here by car. The parking lot is shared by several businesses and got tight by 1 p.m. on a Sunday afternoon. My overall impression was that the aisles in this Hmart resembles the one near Penn Station in Manhattan, size-wise. However, when you're walking around the periphery where all the refrigerated cases are, you'll get more breathing space. I got the general feeling that this supermarket resembled ones you would find in the city. This was accentuated by the throngs of shoppers we encountered inside, a very city-like experience. As for the good stuff, this Hmart has everything you'll need when it comes to Korean cooking and by extension Asian cooking. There's a large do-it-yourself marinated meat section, tons of refrigerated food and snacks galore. The produce section was also quite sizable, so much that you will find literally large boxes of fruit stacked high, think cartons of persimmons, mangoes, apples, Korean pears, etc. The great thing about this Hmart which makes me an instant fan is that they have something called a 1 + 1 special. This is basically a buy one, get one free deal that is offered once a month. We went on one such day and bought enough fruit to feed many families and generations! It's incredible how they could offer fruit at giveaway prices. Although I spotted a few 1 + 1 deals that weren't that great, most of them were incredible (e.g. 2 boxes of Sun Ramen for $5). In the end, this type of offer will make us come back for more if we're in the area. Finally, even though this Hmart is crowded, they didn't forget to add a Tous Les Jours bakery. There is a significantly large section for whole cakes. They sell 6, 8 and 10 inch cakes and seem to have all three sizes available for each cake type. I believe the costs were $32, $38 and $49 for the three sizes. We had a great experience visiting Hmart. Even though it had a city-feel, it was lively and I felt I got great deals for things that I usually buy. read more

So close to NYC and easy to get to just off the GWB and highway. Yes! H Mart! Who knew this was even here?? I was looking for the Kings. Well that's gone and been replaced by this Super H Mart, which is just fine by me. This part of town needed a gigunda Korean supermarket chock full of oriental delicacies, produce, meat, and other delish delights that look like seamonsters and anemones. These include fresh baked good from the Tours le Jours bakery, which has a separate cashier counter. Sweet red bean and custard buns galore. There are also a number of savory pies to choose from. It's best not to be in a rush while shopping, so you can snack on the free samples from the hot pots and mini fryers interpersed throughout the market with cooked items, while learning about these various items and how to prepare them in your home. I fill my cart up with bottles of green tea, I rather like the Asian brands rather than sweetened Snapple and Liptons. The other cart filler is fresh seafood- the fish counter includes lobsters, crabs, shrimps and whole fresh fish. The counter guys are super helpful and the selection is mind boggling. If you're not a from scratch kitchen type, there are store made fresh packaged meals available like sushi, bibimbap, tonkatsu as well as a salad bar filled with stir fried black beans, marinated seaweed, you name it- these are great side dishes to accent a home made meal when you don't have the time to cook everything. read more

Whoa, what a bangin' good Asian grocery this is! Bright, airy, clean, full of fresh produce, meats, seafood, and dry goods. I found some high quality natural dashi there that even Mitsuwa didn't stock (and how lucky are Fort Lee residents, that they can have this terrific Hmart on one side and hit Mitsuwa in Edgewater just a few minutes away on the other side?!) Plus - there's a Tous Les Jours bakery in-house offering mouth-watering eye-candy cakes and pastries. We picked up a half dozen macarons (raspberry, Earl Grey, lemon, grapefruit, rose, and pistachio) and though pricey (15 bucks for 6 - but nicely packaged), they hit the mark as a solid patisserie should. From the area, the place has better quality produce than others. Has Asian specialty items. This is one of the smaller HMarts. There is a tours le jour bakery inside which is a plus. The meat selection at the location is one of the best. Selection is smaller due to limited space. They have a small area in back that makes fresh sushi and other Korean food. Large selection of Jin go gae banchan. I do wish the cashiers were friendlier. Most don't speak English but they never greet you, say thank you or smile. It's sad but a reality I suppose. read more

Ok I can understand one or two times but the fruits and vegetables are a big problem for me. Not all but few products. This was like my 5th time going back to return or exchange items because the inside was rotten. Fuji apples and korean radish(moo)are the ones you should not trust the most. When you go home and cut the items beneath the skin is all rotten. They should really keep track of dates. Few others like kirby cucumbers, perilla leaves, long green peppers are another, these would go bad within 2-3 days sometimes. They do exchange or refund it for you, but who wants to go back each time to do this when i purchase it to use it soon. Finally, I see a good sized Korean market! Of course, you have to go all the way to Jersey for it (versus the Ktown in Midtown). The prices are WAY cheaper (a box of ramen is $14 versus $20-24, since Midtown likes to change the prices on me). They also have a lot of mini food sample stations, which is nice. Route 9W never looked so good. It must be the lobster tank in the back. I was attempting to return to the NJ Turnpike from Mitsuwa Marketplace and did the wrong thing. I just don't spend enough time in the area these days. I found route 9 and knew where I was and suddenly while I was almost to the NJ Turnpike signs, I saw H Mart. I threw caution to the wind and entered the parking lot. On the south side, go right as soon as you enter and exit from nearer the stores. It doesn't work the other way. It was a great, small store and it was clean. Even the aquariums at the back were clean. You could actually see the lobsters and they could see you. Spongebob Squarepants was nowhere to be found, though. Since the store is smaller, I didn't see a food court or even a snack bar type restaurant, but what they have are a lot of products. I'm not sure it's on par with Mitsuwa's grocery but you can't find Korean products there and you can find Japanese products at H Mart. These stores are popping up on every corner, it seems. Maybe soon, they'll replace 7-Eleven. read more

The parking lot is terrible here. Trust me, you may easily get hit. Other than that though, the supermarket is great. There is a prepared foods section even. Also, there is so much fresh fish. Yes, it smells a bit but that's what it should smell like: the sea! There are so many options too! The prices are also reasonable for the variety you get! They also sell sushi grade fish so you can make your own at home! This is the place to go when you need any Asian product from certain ramens to candies that you love from back home. I used to live and work right by here and often walked over at least once a week. The staff is usually very friendly and efficient. Though, many automatically spoke Korean to me, assuming I was Korean (I speak Cantonese) but they were very polite when I looked bewildered at them like a deer in headlights. Last night, again, I found an item with a price tag of $9.99 was charged as $45.99 on my receipt. It was NOT the cashier's mistake (when scanned again, the same $45.99 popped up). When I talked to the customer service, they did not even say sorry. What if I didn't review my receipt! The seafood, produce and meat are all very fresh, they are a lot better than their another location in Little Ferry. 11th of every month is their customer appreciation day, on 11th, there will be some selected items you can get with BUY 1 GET 1 FREE!! However, it's apparently everyone knows this so the parking situation on this day would be a chaos, the parking spot is difficult to find and sometimes you can't even get a shopping cart.
