Grilled chicken lunch box (sans the sauce), power up antioxidant mix trail mix.
    Lauren B.

I love everything about food for life. My fav place in jersey to get healthy meals, snacks and drinks. Great prices, nice quality and tasty food! My go to is their chicken lunch box, or their grilled chicken with grilled vegetables and rice. I also love getting some of their snacks and nut mixes to take home and eat throughout the week. The power up brand trail mix blends are the perfect thing to eat when youre in the mood for something sweet or salty and want to stay healthy. I also sometimes get a smoothie here and theyre always tasty. I especially love how they use a fresh squeezed orange juice for some of the bases. Bonus is that the owners and staff are always super nice and lovely. I cant wait to try everything on the menu

Ordered for delivery. Got an avocado chicken teriyaki bowl. There was NO avocado. Also made my own wrap, but it didnt come with caesar dressing I asked for and the avocado was extremely thin and tasted old. The lettuce also tasted old and wilted. Chicken strips were veeery thin :( Also dont get your hopes up for the sushi! We requested a refund and they weren't able to do so.

Went for Daily Lunch Special Food - 4/5. Sushi was great and fresh; the fish was cut into thick slices so you can really taste them and the California rolls were firm with a good rice ratio. Salad was pretty basic with a ginger dressing. The dumplings were really sad. They tasted like steamed frozen dumplings that were cooled down so they can fit into the same compartment as the California rolls in the bento box and a cold dumpling just doesn't taste good. Service - 4/5. Food came out quick and the cashiers were fast. Value - 4/5. The lunch specials run at $11 which is a pretty average price. Sushi is good but you only get four pieces with less than memorable sides that fill the rest of your bento box. It feels underwhelming compared to other sushi lunch specials in the area. Parking - Mall Lot (Free)

I love this place. Its perfect for grabbing a HEALTHY sandwich on the go. You also have starbucks to your left and froyo to your right in the same plaza. My all time fav sandwich is the "food for life" sandwich, with warm thinly cut chicken breast, lettuce, tomatoes, herb mayo and... apples! The crunchy apples really tie the whole thing together, and it is absolutely delicious. They have a pretty decent shelf full of "healthier" chips, sushi on the other side of the store, drink and teas and coffee, etc! Parking can be annoying (but no one stays parked for too long), and the sandwiches do take a bit of time as they are made fresh fresh fresh!

4 stars only because I happen to be a regular at the Englewood Cliffs location and find the seemingly larger space a bit more comfortable for the overall experience. Still, the offerings are the same and always fresh and delicious. Visit Food For Life for breakfast and order an egg white, turkey and Swiss on whole wheat wrap. For lunch get the Food For Life Special on whole wheat wrap. For dinner try a salad or brown rice bowl. Alternates are bagels, tuna salad (done right with minimal mayo), and/or sushi. I believe this Location in Fort Lee, NJ is the original. The Edgewater and Englewood Cliffs sites all followed.

Food for life had been hit or miss for me. I really enjoy their bowls and recently I had just had not the best batch. Couple months ago the bowls were fresh and warm. Not I get a bowl and it's not prepared as well and looks to have been sitting for awhile. Recently I got a the veggie and rice bowl with chicken. I added avocado (cause who doesn't love avo!) but the avo was brown and not fresh. Also the sticker from the avocado was IN MY BOWL. CMON. It sucks cause I love finding healthy places in fort lee as it is close to where I work. I'll give it another try but one more strike and I'm out for good!

Great chicken teriyaki lunch combo for only 8.99$

This is a great place to grab a quick lunch for on the go!My favorite is the chicken teriyaki lunch special. It comes with brown rice, a house salad served with delicious ginger dressing, and a 4 piece california roll.

Sushi not reliable. Today's salmon and tuna was not fresh and the rice bed was cold. Ended up with serious digestive issues. Never again.

I've been enjoying meals here since 2021 and I've never been disappointed. Füdgarten is the ideal spot to grab a healthy bite during a lunch break, after a work out, or for dinner. There's plenty of seating inside if you want to dine in. The interior is modern, clean, and inviting with lots of greenery. Their menu is built on natural ingredients and bold flavors. You can choose from diverse options like salads, bowls, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, protein shakes, etc. They use grass-fed beef, free-range chicken, wild-caught seafood, and locally sourced organic fruits and vegetables. They carefully craft their recipes and every item is made with love and care! Yes, the prices are on the higher end. But I'm happy to pay for higher quality food... because what you put into your body matters A LOT ;) I've tried a little bit of everything and they're all delicious. The food is packed with vibrant flavors and generous portions of protein. My top recommendation would be the Big NY (~$16). It includes steak, onion, mushrooms, romaine, feta, and lemon cilantro vinaigrette. I usually get it on a whole wheat wrap and it is to die forrrrrrrrr!!! The steak is super juicy and tender. All of the ingredients work so well together! One bite and I was in love. I also love getting a side of baked sweet potato fries ($6). Even the ketchup they use is organic and only made with REAL tomatoes. Don't forget to grab a bottled Kombucha ($5) from their fridge - a tangy, fizzy, sweet, and refreshing drink! The owner, Mike, is the man!!! Haha he's very welcoming, personable, and really cares about customer service. He's the type of business owner that will remember your name and order. And the cherry on top... they have their own parking lot. That's a major perk in this area. If you haven't been here before... get to it!

This place has become a staple in my relationship. It's where we had our official first date at…read more It's within the park, and there's plenty of ample parking around the park with a short walk down to the Playa Bowls. Bathroom The bathroom is for customers only, and you get the code from within. It's a GORGEOUS bathroom, well-kept. There are public restrooms outside of the establishment that are not that great, but if you don't want to buy something make sure to have some hand sanitizer with you. They're clearly the park's bathrooms and not the establishments responsibility. Seating There is no seating indoors, which is a bummer. I would love to enjoy the atmosphere of this park some more from inside. Especially on a hot summer day, I'm in no mood to get burned by the metal chairs overlooking the lake. Needless to say, the views are stunning even while just waiting for our food to be ready! Park Itself I haven't experienced this park in full depth as much as I want to because like I said, there's no seating inside. There is small walking trails, but whenever we go, weather is not on our side. The first time we came here, it started raining and we created an in-car theatre instead which was lovely! But in general, after that, and since it's been diabolically hot ever since we've always took our meals back into the car. There are cars driving up at the bottom of the park, right next to Playa Bowls. It caught me off-guard, so if you're with kids or pets be sure to keep an eye out for them. Selection I love the fact that there is something so healthy to eat in a gorgeous spot! There is a HUGE selection, and I love being able to try a new bowl each time. My favorite so far has been the Pink Flamingo. It is a cold treat, so it is perfect on a hot summer day! Be mindful that protein powder can give some people an upset stomach or the runs, and if you're sensitive, I suggest trying a bowl that doesn't include that. Each item lists ingredients, and you can customize it to your needs. I have not been able to finish a full bowl myself, and get full off of 3/4 of it. My man has finished his and whatever is left over of mine. It is satisfying for a big burly man like himself though. Other Notable Mentions The establishment also has a bowl of water of dogs walking through the park if they need a quick drink, which I think is the sweetest thing ever! There's also a Cuban coffee shop, Rumbas Cafe, right across from Playa Bowls. I haven't been in it myself yet, but I did try one of the coffees my man ordered himself briefly one day. Overall I hope to see some indoor seating open up soon. There is an upstairs, but supposedly it's locked to the public still. Crossing my fingers that it's in the works! Everyone who works here is really nice, and our food is always done quite quickly. The shop is well-lit and has AC. Great park for photo ops, walking, dates, and/or family-time. Well-thought out location for a great treat!

They don't have their own parking space that I've seen, but there is a place on the street for you to park with a parking meter. On one side of the place there is a paid parking lot. The Customer Service was more than excellent. We met the owner and one of the employees who served us excellently named Laura. As it was our first time, they gave us samples of several Coldpress juices and two soups that they had there. All was delicious. What caught my attention is that they recycle glass containers, which is super cool; the prices are quite fair. The place has bars with high stools to sit and enjoy what you buy. There was a variety of bottled juices but I didn't check what kinds of juices there were. I opened for a smoothie made with coconut water and blended with banana, spirulina, spinach, chia seeds, pineapple and mango. It was refreshing and pretty light. I think it could have used more banana for creamier mouth feel though. They offer food options too for lunch and I could smell the vegan chili cooking. There are only stool seats but it's pretty quiet in there, sunny, but not really a place to sip and lounge. I finished most of my smoothie sitting in there enjoying the cool AC breeze. I've always been a sucker for this frozen treat, so I'm glad Red Mango is still around. This location is in an Edgewater shopping plaza. I came by on a Sunday evening and it was quite busy! They have a decent amount of tables and seating inside. Other than froyo, they also serve juices, smoothies, power bowls, and coffee. They have 6 froyo machines with 12 different flavors - a mix of sweet, nutty, tarty, and fruity. There aren't any nutrition facts posted on the machines, so be mindful of dietary restrictions/allergies. You can ask the staff for sample cups. It's all self-serve so you choose your cup, pick your flavors, dispense the handle, and swirl away. Then you can add on as many toppings as you want at the counter. There's nuts, candies, fruits, cookies, sauces, etc. They charge you $0.89 per ounce so it's really easy to rack up $$$. I got the Creamy Taro and Original flavors with strawberries, gummy bears, and mochi. The froyo texture was just right - not too icy and not too watery. It had a smooth, soft-serve like texture. The flavors were true to their names and tasted exactly how they're supposed to. The original was tarty and tangy, just how I like it. My cup was about $9. Service could have been a bit better. There were two employees at the time. They didn't greet customers or tend to them at the machines. The line was moving a bit slow since one girl was working the register and making drink/bowl orders at the same time. Some of the toppings at the counter needed to be refilled.
