We looked into Uncle Fatty's Food and Drink last week through Door Dash delivery. Everything we had was assembled great, and the best part was, it was still delicious and not completely mushy. Over the weekend, we went to the store because we were around the neighborhood. Ordered to go. Food continued to be great, friendly service and not a long wait time. I'm not sure if we were speaking to the owner on the way out. However, he was kind and will be back next time. All forms of payment are accepted. Street parking is available. Could not have been a better experience. Victor (I believe his name is) greeeted is and wished us a Happy Holiday. We ordered the Braised Pork Belly Donburi and the Ebi Tama Donburi and absolutely loved both of them. The pork belly was tender and succulent, a wonderful combo with the rice and greens. The Ebi Taka was shrimp tempura along with egg and rice. Both of the portions were large! I had the chocolate boba. a perfect balance to the saltier entree. We'll be back! read more

Quaint local small business with friendly owners. Ordered the sliced steak donburi. Steak was cooked perfectly. Rice was cooked well, sauce delicious and the little pickles and vegetables went well with everything. Lunch specials are only $8 and are very filling. This place is incredible. I ordered the Famous Uncle Fatty's noodles, pork belly bowl, unagi & spicy tuna onigiri, salmon inari, and miso soup. Their pork belly melts in your mouth and is one of the best tasting bowls I've had on the East Coast. The space is very clean, and the owner is also incredibly kind and welcoming. I was so excited to try this place as it had onigiri. However, I was so unimpressed and disappointed by everything we ordered. The onigiri was almost all rice and barely any filling and the filling that was in them was bland as bland can be. We ordered salmon, eel, tuna, beef, and pork and not one was good. I order chicken katsu a lot as it's the only thing my kids eat. However this was not normal chicken katsu (which there is a picture of here on Yelp). It did not resemble anything in the picture... as we received small chicken piece thighs which wasn't crispy at all. The fried oysters didn't taste like any kind of fried oysters we have had before. Again I was so disappointed. The kani salad was nothing special to write about either and it mostly went to waste. The only thing that was okay were their special noodles which I also didn't think was all that great but was better than all the other things we ordered. What a waste of $100. Never again. read more

Wow! My husband and I picked up the curry chicken, basa fish, Dan Dan noodles, and pork belly rice and everything was delicious! Portions are very generous for the price, and the flavors were so good. The Dan Dan udon had a nice kick which we loved. The owner was very friendly as well! I am always on the look-out for tasty food at an affordable price, which is not always easy to do in the Bergen County area. Uncle Fattys pleasantly exceeded my expectations with great-tasting food with fresh ingredients (we ordered Famous Uncle Fatty's Noodles, Tantan Udon soup, and a spicy tuna and unagi onigiri), not even including the great service and attention Victor and his wife provide. I will certainly add this to my weekly rotation with their lunch specials and I wish them the best of luck as it would be a shame to lose this special place in our community. read more

Found this place by chance. Was at a local over hyped Japanese market center that was just way too busy so we came here instead. It was well worth the trip. Got a Donburi which was amazing, an udon which my girl loved. Few apps here and there and we couldn't be happier. Owner was so nice, even checked in on us if the tv was too loud. Very good price, even better food. Famous Uncle Fatty's Noodles was delicious. I usually worry about either the szechuan peppercorn or the sesame being too overwhelming, but this was the best/most balanced dish I've ever had. I also ordered a bunch of onigiri, all of which were good, but my favorite was the spicy tuna. This place will definitely be one of my new "go-to's". read more

Had an amazing experience at this sushi spot! The summer roll was super fresh and light, perfect for starting the meal. The autumn roll had a great balance of flavors, and the spicy tuna roll? So good--just the right kick without overpowering the fish. The salmon roll was smooth and tender, just what I was hoping for. Also, the seaweed salad was a nice touch, refreshing and flavorful. The menu had lots of variety of Japanese dishes including several different sushi rolls, combo sets and bento boxes. We started with the decent seafood pancake. The Cali and Cinderella rolls were delicious. The Fire roll actually came with a fire show as they put the roll in a foil and baked it in fire right on our table. The roll lived up to its hype and was excellent in taste. The chicken teriyaki came with edamame, dumplings, salad, and few sushi pieces. The taste of the teriyaki chicken and the rolls in combo were slightly underwhelming. Overall the service was good. There were multiple staff members, all were assisting with every occupied table. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering, which was nice. At end, they gave each of us a mochi ice cream for free. Overall I found this restaurant to be a solid place for sushi.

To quench your thirst, they also sell bubble tea and smoothies. I decided on the Ocean Burrito and the Sesame Chicken Hot Bowl with white rice and veggies. Service was quick and I got my food within a few minutes. -Ocean Burrito ($15) 4/5: YUMMMM! I love the concept of sushi burritos! This came with tuna, salmon, imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, lettuce, tempura batter, and ponzu sauce wrapped in sushi rice and seaweed. It also came with a side of spicy mayo and eel sauce. Every ingredient was fresh and I'm happy they didn't skimp out on the fish portions. The sauces were delicious! It was a little messy to eat and hard to bite through because of how dense it was. -Sesame Chicken ($11) 2/5: I was really disappointed with this... I've had better from Chinese take-out. The chicken was dry and nowhere near close to being tender. There was too much batter and it was overfried, so I felt like I was just eating crispy breading. The sauce was also unusual... Sesame chicken sauce is usually made with sugar, soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, honey, sweet chili, ketchup, and vinegar... but this tasted like the creamy white sauce used for coconut shrimp... The place itself is cute too you could definitely sit down and enjoy a solo meal or even a nice little date there. If you're in the neighborhood, I definitely recommend it!
