HOWEVER!!! - here's the fun part - you can also order a "whole" or a "half" on regular bread. If you order a WHOLE sandwich on "regular bread" - like wheat, rye, sourdough, or my favorite WHITE MOUNTAIN - they give you TWO WHOLE SANDWICHES that are generously sized :) IN MY OPINION, that's much more fun than any sub. The sandwiches are nicely wrapped and bagged separately. So really, it's like two meals in one!! The sandwiches are always delicious. It's a great, healthy option to all other fast food. I had been trying to find my EAS AdvantEDGE low carb/high protein drinks and the places that used to have them no longer do... so I was hoping that Publix would. When I moved from Murfreesboro to Shelbyville four years ago, I really missed having a Publix. I've eagerly awaited the opening of this one! From the time one walks in where you're greeted by smiling faces... and handed the latest sales circular... take note Kroger; you who have the worst customer service ever... it was a deluge of happy, smiling employees who were greeting me just like at ALL the Publix stores I've been in. One would ask "Is it because it's a new store?" My answer to that is a resounding "NO!" I've always had a pleasant experience at Publix. Never a grumpy employee to be found, and they will bend over backwards to assist you in whatever it is you need. Looking for my EAS product... horrors!... they didn't have it either. As I was headed to the deli to get a bit of something to eat on the way home... by the way, their subs were rated THE BEST by something or another... sorry I can't remember by whom... I was greeted by a customer service rep who asked how my shopping experience was going. I told her I was a bit perturbed that they didn't have my protein drinks. She, Carla, said we could attempt to rectify that problem if I had a minute or two. Awesomeness! Of course I do! She grabbed a form to fill out with the specifics of what I needed, and it would be turned into the manager and whoever did the ordering. I got a copy and they'd call me if they were able to get it and it arrived. SWEET!!! Again... TAKE THAT, KROGER!!! Headed to the deli area... woooooooo... so sad to be on low carb/keto for once. Must've gained weight from the smells and visuals alone! Got some unbreaded fried chicken wings that were mega delicious! Didn't mess up my meal plan at all. Prices are great. The checkout people are darlings... the baggers as well. I had to laugh. I had my purse, a tiny bag of chicken wings, and a drink... and was asked if I would like assistance to my car. I'd postponed it on my last visit to Tullahoma so I'd have something to look forward to on my NEXT inevitable visit, so safe to say anticipation had really built! I arrived around 2:45 and came into a moderately busy coffee house. The acoustics are such it's a little hard to hear if groups are visiting inside, so maybe not the best place to work or read quietly. That's fine, I was going to get my stuff to go anyway. The interior is very cute and thoughtfully decorated and even has a selection of Celtic themed gifts. Service was...surly. The barista spoke very softly and slowly in a very apathetic tone and did not seem interested in answering questions or sharing about the products. I got an iced bonfire mocha (I was very quickly and somewhat harshly corrected about the sizes available to order it in). The pastries looked absolutely amazing so I got a coconut cream scone and a hazelnut pastry to go. They did offer to warm the scone for me, which I accepted. My items took an average amount of time to come out to me. I headed out immediately since I wanted to get home and didn't feel that welcome anyway. So.... That bonfire mocha, yall. It's a spicy mocha, with a dusting of cayenne on top. Allegedly. I've had mochas like this before. They're often made spicy with cinnamon and/or cayenne. I've enjoyed the ones I've tried very much (the version of it at Gold Sprint in Huntsville is delicious!) so I was excited for this one. It had me completely convinced I'd somehow made the barista furious without knowing how. I am fairly heat-tolerant and like spicy stuff and it had me absolutely on FIRE. I thought maybe I'd accidentally gotten a sip of cayenne straight from the top, so I tried mixing it up and drinking from another spot with my straw. Nope. I tried multiple times, coughing up a storm the whole time. But the whole thing was crazy spicy. Inedibly (un-drinkably?) spicy. The cayenne went straight to the back of my throat and sat there scalding me for a long time. I was so sad. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is the coconut cream scone. It was supposed to be heated up...I can't say it was much more than a little above room temperature. But I munched on it in my car and thought it was pretty good. A little dry, as many scones tend to be, but the coconut glaze and cream was flavorful and silky. I enjoyed it. I planned on sharing the hazelnut pastry with my husband later. However, I examined it when I got home (mind you, I hadn't opened it since after leaving the restaurant) only to find...a short, slightly curly black hair attached (baked in?) to it. Facepalm. Straight to the trash it went, regrettably. No idea if it was good or not. It looked good, except for the hair. An incredibly disappointing visit. I'm really sad to write this review. Their menu has sandwiches, pizza, and coffee drinks. I intended to eat lunch because I was hungry. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon on a Monday and there was absolutely no one in there. An employee came out from the back after a minute or two, but the eerily empty environment and somewhat odd smell in the space dissuaded me from actually ordering a meal. Instead, I wound up ordering a small iced white chocolate mocha to go. It was pricy for a small iced coffee -- over $6. The employee went to the back to fix it for me. It took a few minutes but nothing unreasonable. She brought it back out to me in a cup that looked like a hot latte cup, but it was fortunately made correctly and iced. Overall, it was...fine. Not super creamy, pretty thin and almost watery instead of milky consistency. Decent white chocolate flavor but not a ton of coffee flavor. For the price, I probably wouldn't get it again, but it was serviceable. I dunno, I feel like I'm maybe being a little unfair because of my overall poor experience in town, but given the one thing I tried was resoundingly average, I guess I stick by my 3 star rating. Hoping for a more successful venture the next time I return to town.
