On our way to an event in Winston, we missed lunch and were both getting a bit hangry, so needing a…read morequick stop but not wanting fast food we decided to pop into Publix for a one of their subs! If you've never been or heard about their subs, they're definitely worth checking out. Made fresh, in front of you using premium ingredients, and made just how you want it, they give sub shops a lot to stand up to. After a quick review of the menu we ordered the Sweet Bo's Chicken Philly. The guy helping us in the deli didn't hold back, didn't skimp on the ingredients and made it perfectly cheesy even toasting it twice until it was exactly as we wanted. After checking out we decided to stop in to their small cafe area to eat quickly as we could see it was juicy and didn't want to make a mess eating it in the car. The sandwich was absolutely delicious with lots of chopped chicken, bell peppers, mushrooms and we switched from American cheese to provolone...it absolutely hit the spot and curbed our hanger. I'd never stoped at this public before, but would again, it was very well kept and clean, and I'd definitely get this sandwich again given the opportunity!

Publix has my favorite olive bar, hands down. I love getting the stuffied prosciutto peppers from…read morethis place. They are always jumbo, juicy, and so tasty. Pricy for sure but worth it! Their other olive selections - greek style, mixed with feta, and lemon based, plus their seasoned mushrooms are also delicious. On weekends, they usually have tastings which makes shopping much more fun. And as a perks member, I do get treats for my birthday, half birthday, and anniversary, as well as decent $2 ff $10 coupons occasionally. Service is always polite and speedy, which I appreciate. Bonus points to this location for having EV charging available. Can be nice to juice up while shopping.

During the pandemic I pretty much stopped shopping at grocery stores and got most of my items from Target or meal kit subscriptions. However, I have slowly started returning to the stores and this store always impresses me. It's clean, offers a wide variety, and is almost always fully stocked. I can pretty much count on finding whatever I am looking for here and that is appreciated.

Harris teeter here had sharp edges under shelving so in reaching for an item with no upper clearance, it tore my skin and cut me. They said they were unaware of the situation and denied me any compensation. How are they conducting health department and Dept of Agriculture inspection requirements and not know? Truth is they couldn't be and not be aware of the split, broken and sharp metal from damage, as well as filth. This is a classic example how a large regional grocery chain doesn't take responsibility for situations like these. If they don't know that numerous sharp pieces of metal are sticking out in ways that can injure people when they peruse vegetables, how exactly are they handling their produce? It sickens me that these stores are managed like this. There are too many sporas etc. now this kind of stuff. Found the shelving was also filthy. Some of these stores follow rules designed to protect us. Harris Teeter? "We didn't know there was a problem." I still have a scar center forearm. Looks horrible. Wish I could post pics of the conditions there and on my arm. Didn't find this at Publix, Lowe's Foods, Lidles, Aldi, Lowe's Foods or Whole Foods. To avoid a lawsuit from these jokers, this is my opinion only. I make my statements only to help the public understand the importance of store safety and proper required inspections and I didn't find it here.
