I ordered 6 chicken wings and white rice with broccoli. Also another order of 4 wings with French fries. My total came up to $27.00. I thought that was a bit overpriced so I looked at the menu. The menu states that 4 chicken wings and fries cost $7.75. So if that's the case my other order costs $20? When I confronted the worker, he stated that the menu is old. Came in on a late night; So glad that the shrimp and rice was fresh and delicious. You are able to see your food being cooked while you wait for it and you have a simple small space to eat at the front if you so choose . I've been here three times in the last week because the food is so good. I'm not sure if it's legit Chinese food. They serve stuff like fried chicken, French fries, and fried plantains, but everything is fresh and hot, which is always good. I get they're honey glazed fried chicken with pork fried rice and green plantains, and it's always fantastic. The chicken is really crispy, the rice has thick pieces of bbq pork, and the plantains are nice and starchy. Also, if you're a hot sauce fan, get their hot sauce; it's actually spicy. read more

Everything is so salty that I feel like I can't physically drink enough water afterward, but what else can you expect? This was my favorite cheap chinese joint in my old neighborhood. And it's CHEAP. I could get enough food for 3-4 meals for $10 or under. Awesome: Steamed vegetable dumplings ($4), pork fried rice or pork lo-mein ($6), Thai style curry vegetables with tofu ($6ish). Good: Plain steamed vegetables and rice ($6ish). No time to cook? Want some healthy food? Order in and add your own favorite sauce or supplement with some protein. I did this frequently when I had no time to shop. Stay away from the chicken! Their food is your standard chinese delivery. Except that it's not super greasy and it came piping hot. What made me give them five stars is that my boyfriend and I called them around midnight on Chinese New Year and they promptly told us they were closed because of the holiday. I'm a fan of this place because of how cheap it is and the quantity of food given. I got the Thai Bean curd with vegetables and tofu. This means that they will give you the veggies and tofu with a coconut sauce. I got fried rice as well. I don't think I'll be getting the fried rice again because it has a lot of oil. For health reasons I will stick with the steamed rice. They could provide a bit better hot sauce like sriracha. read more

I have been coming here for many years but no longer. Today I ordered a chicken with broccoli. I asked for steamed brown rice with egg inside. There is a woman there who started working recently and she has a nasty attitude. Every time I ask for something, she tells me that they can not do that for me. I asked them to add egg into my brown rice and she says no. I ordered the same meal yesterday. They have a silly rule of charging you an extra $1. for using your debit or credit card. They will charge you $2. If your order is over $20. This rule was never in place before. This woman did not like how I asked for the manager. Since she was making a big deal out of adding an egg to my order. She decided to put a hair in my steamed brown rice. I posted the picture so check it out. This woman is disgusting. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I used to be a regular customer at this place but today I went for a pick up and while waiting one of the cookers dropped a piece of meat on the floor, he let it on the floor for about five minutes and he continued to cut other pieces of meat, then all of the sudden he picked the meat off the floor and placed it back on the cutting board and served it on top of the rice that I ordered. I was going home with a piece of dirty meat if I wasn't there to see! one of the saddest things about moving out of williamsburg is that i no longer get to order chinese food from kam sing and have it delivered to me within fifteen minutes, even though i lived two blocks away, and i could have just walked over there to pick it up. i'm lazy; it's true. what i miss is feasting like a queen (or empress, or ruler of the universe) for under 20$. sure, if i wanted to get hog wild (pardon me, did you see what i did there?), i'd order the bbq ribs, but generally, i stuck to the tofu dishes, or the lo mein, or the chow fun. hungover? get the large mixed wonton egg drop soup; it'll cure whatever ails you, unless it's bloating from all the sodium. then, you're kind of fucked. avoid the hot & sour soup because it's gross, and the steamed dumplings are pretty awful. but anything fried? yes please! half a chicken? There's really nothing quite like really cheap (like $2 for a LOT) Brooklyn chinese food. It's pretty much all the same, but Kam Sing is where I was introduced to this phenomenon. Sometimes I find myself craving that special greasy crunchy deep fried bean curd, but here I am, frustrated by being stuck in Los Angeles with only "good" and "fresh" chinese food to be had. Remember: it may say "no MSG" on the door, but the delivery guys use a huge bucket labeled "MSG" for a chair while they're waiting for an order. It is so cheap that when you order one of their combos for $7, they have to staple the damn box together to keep the fried rice from overflowing all over your bag.
