It has lots of Eastern European products along with a fresh bakery and fresh prepared foods aisle. Some products are cheaper than say Publix and others were more expensive. But you won't find some of the European ethnic foods like a gazillion types of sardines and olives, and pickled products to choose from in your mainstream grocery. If you are looking for a certain European grocery item, chances are they will have it here. They even have a fresh fish section. It's freezing in here so bring a jacket/sweater. I really enjoyed browsing the aisles making note of some hard to find items for my next culinary adventure. The aisles are very narrow however so best to come early in the morning at opening. It was empty when I came in at that time. Definitely will be back!

I recently had the opportunity to visit this NetCost Market in the Oakwood Plaza in Hollywood, Florida. If you join the free NetCost market Club you can unlock special deals and discounts. I was impressed with how bright and spotless this store is. Everywhere I looked there was someone cleaning, sweeping, and straightening. NetCost has the typical pantry staples you would expect to find but I was drawn to the colorful produce section with unexpected finds like mandarin oranges wit the stems and leaves for $2.49 a pound and dainty little lady apples for $3.99 a pound. Throughout the store their dumpling fest was being advertised for $3.49 a pound. The bakery and hot prepared foods department looked enticing, especially the cabbage rolls. It was nice to see some many foods from my Polish ancestry represented. In the front of the store is a coffee shop with a seating area and more delectable pastries for sale. I love exploring world markets and this was one of the cleanest and nicest I have come across. If I lived local i would be a regular shopper, especially on nights when I don't feel like cooking dinner. The Hollywood community is lucky to have such a great food shopping resource.

The owner told me I had to spend $50 minimum to use a credit or debit card, otherwise I must pay cash. I was shocked because I've shopped here before with smaller purchases (around $20) and never had this issue. When I questioned it, the owner became defensive and just said "sorry." The service was rude and unprofessional, and the attitude from the owner was very unpleasant. Everything in this store is already overpriced, and now with these new restrictions and the way customers are treated, I will definitely not be coming back.

Based on a severe language barrier, the cashier asked another employee for assistance with my simple request. The second employee spoke less English than the first. The common purchase became comical and my wife urged me to leave without the tickets, although I guess I love stress and continued as my wife waited in the heat outside. The third clerk, who spoke perfect English came to the rescue and handled the situation with ease and I was finally able to complete the transaction. Phew, what an experience in Davie.

I specifically went there for the Indian samosas and the Russian and slap chips. My spouse is South African and although we have tried several times to make slap chips we can't quite get it right. Food came quickly and was nice and hot, the samosas were perfect, spice level and crispness of the pastry. Russian and slap chips were delicious as well. I got to meet and chat to both of the owners who were very friendly. Would love to come back if we move down to Florida.

I spent approximately $150 on five slabs because I was purchasing them as a gift for someone else. There is an important detail that I want to clarify because the owner's response does not accurately describe what happened. I actually placed this order online. When I went to pick it up, I had to wait approximately 20 minutes for the order to be prepared. The biltong was still not vacuum-sealed when I received it. The owner later stated that online orders are vacuum-sealed because they may spend several days in transit. That makes this situation even more frustrating because this WAS an online order. If I had been told that my order was not going to be vacuum-sealed, I absolutely would have requested it, especially because I was sending the biltong to someone else as a gift. I was also a repeat customer. This was my third purchase from the store, and my previous biltong purchases had been vacuum-sealed without me having to specifically request it. I therefore had no reason to believe I suddenly needed to ask for something that had been done with my previous purchases. I took the biltong home and refrigerated it as instructed. Within approximately three days, all five slabs developed extensive mold, including green mold. I contacted the business because I had spent $150 on a product that I could no longer comfortably give as a gift. The owner called me back and told me they would not replace the biltong because it should have been kept refrigerated. The problem with that explanation is that it WAS refrigerated. The business later explained that the biltong is made without preservatives, that proper refrigeration is required, that they perform monthly quality-control testing, and that they cannot control how a perishable product is handled after it leaves their possession. I understand that a business cannot control everything after a product leaves the store. However, I followed the refrigeration instructions, and I contacted them only about three days after receiving the product. I was not asking for a replacement months later. I was reporting extensive mold, including green mold, on a $150 purchase almost immediately after receiving it. There is also a contradiction in the explanation regarding vacuum sealing. I was told online orders are vacuum-sealed because they can spend several days in transit. My order was an online order, yet it was not vacuum-sealed. I even waited approximately 20 minutes for the order, and nobody told me that the slabs would not be vacuum-sealed or that I needed to specifically request it. Had I known, I would have absolutely requested vacuum sealing because I was sending the biltong to someone else. I am not claiming that I can personally determine exactly what caused the mold. I am stating the facts of my experience: this was an online order, I spent approximately $150 on five slabs as a gift, I waited for the order to be prepared, the slabs were not vacuum-sealed, I refrigerated them as instructed, and within approximately three days they developed extensive mold, including green mold. As a repeat customer, I expected better communication and better customer service. Instead, I was left with $150 worth of biltong that I could not comfortably give as a gift, and the business refused to replace it.
