I had a really disappointing experience at this store and honestly felt disrespected throughout my entire checkout interaction. From the moment I got to the register, the cashier seemed visibly irritated and had a bad attitude when we approached. There was no greeting, no basic customer service tone, just immediate tension that made the interaction uncomfortable. While scanning my groceries, she handled my produce very roughly. I had items like fruits and vegetables that bruise easily, and she was tossing them without care into the conver belt. It honestly felt careless and unprofessional, especially for items that clearly need to be handled gently. I tried to stay polite and asked if everything was okay because the energy felt off, and her response was dismissive and rude, saying something along the lines of not knowing what I wanted her to say. That alone made the interaction feel even more uncomfortable. There was also confusion about a promotion, and when I asked for clarification, she did not explain anything clearly. Instead, she responded in a sarcastic and unhelpful way and made the situation more confusing instead of resolving it. At one point she made a comment about an item I questioned and instead of assisting, she brushed it off and seemed annoyed that I was asking questions about my own purchase. Overall, the entire experience felt unprofessional, dismissive, and discouraging as a customer. I've worked in customer service myself, so I understand people can have bad days, but this went beyond that -- it felt like there was no effort at basic courtesy or respect. I left feeling frustrated and honestly unwelcome as a customer. I hope management addresses this because no one should have to feel that way while simply checking out groceries. read more

While no supermarket is perfect I prefer going to this location over the one close to my home on 1st in Santa Ana. Its clean , the staff are attentive and the store is roomy and organized. I like also that the hours are 600am-1200am. They do have a late night cashier problem and it seems that not many seem to be working after 1000pm. I hope that is something that will improve. read more

I was just there to buy some beer and forgot my ID told my daughter to go grab it from the car but the person who purchased alcohol before me was not ID and he did not even looked old enough when cashier asked for my ID i was like wait why are you asking for my ID but the person before me wasnt!!!!!? She lied to my face saying she had ask for his ID when she didnt!!! Cashiers name was Ashley S i asked to speak to the manager as i think its not ok for her to only ID who ever she wants a short lady said she was the manager so I told her cashier didnt ID the person before me but she is asking for mine i did not want to be a Karen but I dont think that's fair and what did the manager said "ohh well it must of been a regular client"!! I prefer to shop at that particular location than I do at the Stanton location! The staff is much more friendlier and helpful! The store is more organized and none of the staff are discrimitory! They will help you if you ask! They're very accommodating and though, the checkout line can become long, they will help you! The prices are reasonable, no matter which location within the county you stop off at! Been a customer of Food 4 Less for 26 years now! In fact, the Santa Ana location is where I started and I only reside 4 miles from there! read more

I go here all the time. Last week I purchased a pre paid Mastercard , I gave the cashier money . I went to use it and apparently it was a fraudulent card. Someone previously had got the card number and was using it in Florida. I was unable to eat and get gas . Now I have to wait 14 until I get a new card. Why don't they lock these cards up. I depend on cards that I purchase with my hard earned money to work. The cashier and manger didn't offer an apology and it looks like they could careless. read more

This morning went to do my shopping, headed to the meat department, where I experienced awful customer service by an employee named LUISA. I asked her a question, and there were NO CUSTOMERS since it was 7:30a.m., she raised her voice at me and answered me extremely rude. Had a less than stellar experience with a cashier -- a young girl named Jackie on the express lane this morning. Her lane is open with the lights on, so I load my groceries onto the register and wait for her. When she gets back to the register she begins to check out my groceries without making eye-contact nor saying anything to me. I figure, must be a long morning or something. Since I need a bag I ask her for one, and at that moment she very much slams a head of lettuce onto the belt. She obliges, drops the bag on the groceries but doesn't tell me my total. As I'm paying and leaving, I can clearly hear her speaking Spanish to a customer who was behind me asking if he needed a bag. Sometimes a little communication goes a long way with customer service and I feel Jackie could have done a lot better. I regularly shop here but will no longer deal with this cashier. read more

Price, availability, products, portions...this market is great. The gf does a bunch of events so this requires me to make trips to this fine establishment. We usually go later on in the evening...which makes it a breeze to swoop through the aisles and grab and go. This is the first market I've ever yelped so it must be for a decent reason. Ladies bathroom was a wreck, as usual, but it was extremely gross yesterday; it made me sick to my stomach. There was an adult diaper on the floor behind the toilet and there was feces smeared all over the sink, wall, mirror, and soap dispenser. If there is an issue with keeping the restroom clean I don't want to even imagine the issues going on in the back of the store with the produce or meat counter. read more

Okay yes this place is really cheap and within price range. From produce to dairy and even poultry and house good. It's not the only thing that will attract any customers but there is one place that should and always attract a consumer like myself with kids who shop all the time here. Bathroom!!!!!! When you have kids who need to use the restrooms. I couldn't believe how filthy and dirty the restroom was today. I am glad my kids weren't with me on this trip but I am sure they would have been distgusted too. I understand that it is a customers fault too but to keep a clean facility at it's finest should be the manager and employees that work there to make sure that it's cleaned and stocked with amenities so we may use without feeling disgusted. This is my to go store , well was my to go store.. I was waiting in line to pay my groceries and the cashier (Jacquline V ) had a little attitude.. I am 5 months pregnant and we all know pregnant women CAN NOT BE CARRYING things around .. I took my sister (14year old) to help me load my groceries, Jacquline asked if I wanted bags I said yes 3 she threw them at my sister in a very rude manner.. I tried my best to ignore it why? Because it was late around 8pm I figure she had a long day at work .. keep in mind the world is upside down and it's always good to treat others with respect.. I was trying to be nice but all she kept doing was rushing and throw my groceries like hello? I have veggies there I don't want them to get squeezed or anything. Once she had to scam the boxes of sodas and juices she told me to get them to carry them I made my sister carry them but once I started to pack my food she carried the boxes of water that the lady behind me? Lots of food available in bulk deals. Be careful of the fine print though. We picked up a bag of Doritos that only turned out to be discounted if you buy two bags instead of one. So we ran back to get another bag when the checker informed us of that at the cash register. They were also out of brownie bites when we came in on the evening of New Year's Day. read more

5 Star. By F4L standards. Love having an actual meat counter. Cleaner than others I have been to. Huge, well-stocked and organized. Can't beat the prices anywhere, even if you are a rabid couponer. Parking lot is a disaster- but that seems to be a prerequisite. I almost always go when school is in session- makes for a much more pleasant experience. Just sayin'. read more

This review is based on my mom's experience at the butcher shop. She was treated poorly by an employee named Martin. After getting a number to be served she went off to get more groceries instead of waiting. She came back to the counter to realize her number had passed and asked the butcher if she could be served. He was furious with her and took the number from her and through it on the ground, saying he wasn't going to be lied to thinking she somehow had a fake number? Very unprofessional and bad customer service. She stood up for herself and told him how rude his response was. She asked to speak to a manager and he was indifferent to her situation.
