Super King is a grocery store that caters to the hispanic community, so it has a lot of spices, meat cuts, produce, candy, and other goods that you won't usually find at your typical big chain grocery stores. Cactus, purslane, shishito peppers, fresh green garbanzo beans, and other uncommon produce were available. They surprisingly even have a caviar section in the refrigerated service counter next to the Mexican cheeses. My relatives also told me that Super King is owned by an Armenian family so that's why you can also find some middle eastern and central asian spices, sweets/snacks - like dubai chocolate, and teas among their items for sale. I really liked this grocery store, it was very clean, bright, well-organized, spacious, and had very reasonable prices. Plenty of parking is outside as they share a parking lot with other stores and dining venues in a sizable outdoor shopping plaza. read more

Stopped to check out Super King while I was in the plaza picking up some cookies. At first glance, it feels like a typical neighborhood grocery store, but a few sections really stood out. The produce department great selection and fresh-looking fruits, but more importantly carries Asian & Hispanic vegetables.I was also surprised by the extensive cheese selection and the authentic Mexican bakery, both of which offered far more variety than I expected. My favorite area was the bulk foods section, where you can scoop your own dried fruits, nuts, crackers, and other snacks. Simply bring your selections to the friendly staff member, who weighs and prices everything for you. Service is okay but will certainly come back to check out other snacks! read more

During late fall, there is only bananas, melons berries, etc. in most stores. Fuyu persimmons, the higher fiber, juicy fruit you can eat like an apple or wait till it's like pudding, is on it's way out till next year. At Super King, there were lots of them for $1.69 a pound. Albertson's had them for $5 for 2 pounds or $2.50 a pound. Dragon Fruit was $1.99 a pound, usually around $4-5 a pound at the supers. The best cucumbers, Persian, were $1.79 a pound and up to twice as much at supers. I bought a honeydew melon for about $2, and it was great selling for about twice as much at Alberston's. Their Satsuma tangerines were a great buy and super sweet and juicy - pick those that are heavy for their size, with a deep orange color. I have never bought any meats but in the past, they've had some beef and pork parts you don't see in most supers. lots of Mexican and International items. I have had several of their pastries, most are pretty good and prices are fair. They have lots of specials on groceries that they place at end of aisle. I really like that they have a line for those with 15 or less. I was in and out of the check out line in 5 minutes. but during peak times it could take a lot longer. Lots of fast food places and McDonald's in this mini mall. The parking lot can be crazy. read more

I visited this store for the first time on 3/9 after hearing great things and even drove 20 minutes to check it out. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish.   First red flag: I couldn't find ANY organic products anywhere in the store. That was already frustrating, but since I was there, I continued shopping and ended up spending over $100.   When I came home, I cooked the beef I purchased and used the broth to make Mexican rice, something I've made for over 20 years without any issues. I used everything from this store except my organic Better Than Bouillon and tomato sauce. The result? The rice turned into mush with random uncooked hard pieces. I was shocked. I tried again using my rice cooker, same exact result. Did I buy FAKE RICE from this store? Brand: Bemno 'HIGH QUALITY ARROZ DE JAZMIN', I can't even find it online.   Upset, I called the store to explain what happened. The clerk I spoke to was kind and told me to bring the rice back the next day, and she even said they would refund the other ingredients I wasted. That felt fair.   Fast forward: I finally had time to drive back, and I was met with someone who couldn't have been less helpful. His name was Lina, and the way he handled the situation was honestly unbelievable. Zero personality, zero customer service, zero care. He immediately told me he would only refund the rice and said because I didn't have the name of the person I spoke to on the phone, he wasn't going to honor what was promised.   I asked for a supervisor, and instead of helping, he just handed me a phone number for someone named Rassi - 323-828-0800. I have called six times and no one answers.   What kind of business operates like this?   Customers shouldn't be treated like they're an inconvenience, especially after their product ruined a meal, wasted my money, and cost me even more time driving back and forth.   It's not about the $3 refund for the veggies. It's about the complete lack of accountability, the dismissive attitude, and the refusal to honor what was originally promised. And yes, I told them the rice did not cook properly at all. They sold me something that simply did not perform like rice should.   Between the wasted money, wasted time, and the way I was treated, I won't be returning, and I hope management sees this and seriously evaluates how customers are being handled. I love this place especially since after the renovations, it's more brighter and seems like more space! It's always stocked with variety of vegetable, fruits, spices, meats, and deli items. I come here more often because of that. I'm used to variety of greens and herbs too (dry or fresh) . Especially for lamb cuts and goat cuts which aren't exactly available in the sprouts, stater brother or Ralph's store. The workers seem chill , sometimes it does get busy but I personally live coming in the morning right around opening so I can get in and out of the store. read more

Love this place because it's clean and prices are cheaper than other stores. Produce is fresh but my only complaint is the meat department. Everytime I buy meat and I point at what meat i want, they always give me a hard time like, "oh I can't reach that meat you want coz the tray is heavy". I know they can slide the tray towards them. Or if I want to buy pork / beef hock or feet and choose the one feet without the nail, they say I don't have a choice but to get whatever is on that tray. Not all feet has nails on that tray that's why I'm choosing the one I want, but they're rude to customers. Besides, who would want to buy feet with nails on ? Over the course of at least two separate incidents, not once did they offer an apology, despite the mistakes being clearly intentional. - I purchased 1.5 lbs. of brown mushrooms advertised at $2.79. Instead, I was charged for 5 lbs. of shiitake mushrooms at $8.79! - I bought 6.81 lbs. of salmon priced at $5.99/lb., but was charged $10.99/lb., paying $74.79 instead of the correct $40.79! - I returned the salmon the next day and received a refund, but to my shock, they simply placed it back on the shelf for resale. No apology. No accountability. When I asked why their mistakes never seem to benefit the customer, there was silence. It's hard not to feel that this isn't just carelessness, it's a pattern. Well another day of being ripped off at SK. I was overcharged on another item of which we had purchased 3 of. The sign says $1.99 and that is what we have always paid for it. However we were charged $2.79 for each. We shop there almost weekly and I think the issue is ridiculous and should be reported. This happens too many times. read more

Because my mom buys groceries for her Mexican dishes, she shops here for price and selection. When she shops here, she brags about how good the prices are so I finally came for a visit. While looking at the good looking produce and their low prices, I can see why she shops here. In addition to a good selection of fresh and dried chilies, there's a wide selection of produce even fresh chickpea/garbanzo beans still in their pods and beautiful looking castilla pumpkins. As for predominate brands, I saw Goya and Sadaf which are difficult for me to find in the SF Bay Area, but can be found at small middle eastern shops. For meat, there's a wide selection at the counter and some fish and poultry. In the bread section, there's lots of flat bread used by Afghans and Persians. When you're looking for specialty products ( like Aleppo Pepper), this is a great store to make a one stop shop. read more

This is a great neighborhood market with plenty of fresh and cheap produce. Their produce prices are less than half per pound what the grocery stores on my town charge. If you're cooking Asian or Hispanic dishes you can probably find what you need here. They are lacking in fresh herbs (no basil, rosemary, or oregano) and surprisingly their dried herb section is not good either. They had mostly the Mc Cormick variety of overpriced spices. The service can be slowwww so be patient. Expect huge lines during peak hours and a crowded parking lot. read more

They just opened their new location - a modern take on a grocery store concept while still maintaining a great selection for many item categories and best pricing within a 15 mile radius. I typically get alot of my fruit and veggies here. Chicken is extraordinarily cheap. This week drumsticks are $.79/lb. They have this Arabic bread that is so intoxicating with a chewy texture and addictive taste for only $.99 per package. Herbs are so much cheaper here than western grocery stores. Today I scored mint and cilantro at unbeatable prices. But the best buy from today's grocery haul was soft skinned avocadoes for $.79 each! Amazing! Although not a Middle Eastern market, because of it's proximity to Anaheim, you will see people from many Arabic countries. When I ask how to pick the best of something, and they are always so helpful and kind. This store is definitely a melting pot of cultures. Just check out their wide selection of different kinds of rice supporting various ethnic tastes. The lines may seem long, but they move quite fast, as all their cashiers are well trained, knowledgeable and efficient. I am very, very upset with this store, its customer support department, its management - Erica in particular, and one cashier named Juliana. Today, I did my shopping and after coming home I checked my receipt to see why I paid more than I should ($137.31). It appeared that the cashier Juliana charged me for something that I did not even buy ! This is Roasted Cashews 4.14 Lb at $8.49/Lb totaling $35.15. This is so shameful. It gets worse from here. I called the store several times and a customer support department employee Cinthia would transfer me nowhere, claiming to the manager Erica, and after waiting for half an hour to no avail, I would call Customer Support Department back. This happened several times and then Cinthia just threw the landline phone down without saying 'Sorry" or anything professional at all. In general, the atmosphere in the store became very rude and cold. Employees became very rude and reluctant to help. I need my money to be credited back to me and the cashier to get what she deserves. I am going to file a charge back in the amount of $35.15 through my credit card. Management has to retrain all their employees who are very rude, unwelcoming. I don't even want to come there anymore after this kind of attitude. I usually do not complain easily but if it happens and the management is reluctant to remedy the situation, the store usually ends up in bankruptcy. No, I do not harm, but karma does. read more
