The service was amazing! And the food pretty good too. Place looks clean and with an old school vibe.

We went there on a Sunday thinking about breakfast but we're a tad too late. However it was meant to be because we had so much fun reading and deciding which of the over 73 burger options to have!! Ours were so big we could only eat half of them!! They were the best burgers we have ever had!! The service was warm friendly and fun! The ambiance was casual eclectic which added to the fun. If you are thinking about a burger you have to try this place!!!

    "Battered" shrimp
    Kristy P.

I should have known better. But I wasn't feeling like a burger so the special was grilled or battered shrimp. So I got the battered. I didn't think I needed to clarify The battered shrimp. Typical foodservice battered is a wet battered breading and breaded is a light dry breading or panko breading etc. Well my battered shrimp was similar to a Vankamps butterflied breaded shrimp. Not what I expected from an "authentic made" Resturant. It was disappointment. Everyone else got burgers and a Rueben and they were fine. Service was great and was towards closing time so wait time was 10 mins. There is not a ton of dining space not a good place for larger groups. Stick with what they are known for the burgers.

I am going to leave a very honest but fair review of Foodie Garage. I have been here multiple times for Brunch. The food is always delicious and amazing. Servers are friendly and delightful. Prices are fair. Where they go wrong is the waiting time- on every aspect. *** If coming for Brunch, make sure to have 2-3 hours of time. Do not come here if you are not willing to wait or are in a rush. *** This is not a one off thing. I have been here 8 or 9 times for brunch. Every. single. time. there is a wait. Foodie is always busy for brunch and for good reason- because the food is the bomb. Brunch ordering ends at 11. And regardless of when you get here- between the small sized interior and the demand- you will be waiting. I timed it this time: You walk in. You get told 10-15 minute wait. No waiting area. Wait either in your car or outside. Ask to put your name on the list. No buzzers or calling to let you know. They will just peek outside and it is up to you to see it or keep going in to check. My 15 minute wait turned into 25. And I was lucky. It is sometimes longer (if you are willing to sit it out ). You order. They are busy so be flexible. Servers are amazing and accommodating. I waited a full hour for my food since I placed my order. That was this time. I was by myself but when I came other visits alone or with my partner this wait is pretty consistent. Expected 30/45 mins to an hr+. The servers will always apologize for the wait, but this is not a one-off thing. The kitchen timing is what always slows the food down. Food is amazing. It is always consistently good. I have not been past brunch, but this is the best Country Fried Steak brunch I have had in the Dubuque area thus far. Bloodys here are awesome too. No beer chaser, but they have regular sized bottles to order. I have never had bad food here. I come back time and again because it is delicious. But the Brunch wait is why I won't frequent here as often. I would come back more or even recommend to friends and family from out of town, but I don't because most people I know would not put up with this outrageous waiting time. **In Summary: Food and Service amazing. Wait time is downfall. - Average wait time during visit: - Arrived at 9:45. - told 10-15 min wait. - Luckily got table at 10:15. - Put drink and food order in. Drink came within a few minutes. - Got food at 11:15. (1 hour after seated). - Left by 11:45 I really enjoy coming here. I just wish they could figure out the timing. If you walk in for brunch and see the place packed, (unless there are people leaving soon) find somewhere else to go if you are not willing to make the time to wait it out. The food and friendly servers are worth the wait. Would love to come back at a later time and try the epic burgers they are known for.

    Breakfast burrito

9am on a Sunday. Parking out front on the street and we walked in and sat with no wait. They have specials on the white board and the server Emily was on top of it. The decor was race car themed or just motor theme. We were offered drinks and she came right back to check on us. Small diner but could fit a good amount of people. We didn't take long to pick our food. The breakfast burrito seemed the way to go. Threw size of the burrito is shareable. I really loved how the egg was the same shape as the whole burrito shell. Not scrabble but almost like part of the shell. Then all the meat and goodies were inside served with salsa and sour cream. We shared the burrito and we're both full after. Emily had our check in no time and we paid with cash for a little bit of a discount. Highly recommend.

The sandwiches there are great! I had this patty melt and fries for lunch after church. I think I'll be coming here a bit more often and trying to get family to come here too.

First glance it looks a little run down and divey, but it's actually amazing! Their air conditioner wasn't working the best, but it's not their fault it's August 1st and a million degrees outside. Their ice machine was also on the fritz, but our waitress made sure we got a cup as soon as she could. The menu is HUGE! All 3 of our meals were amazing. Absolutely amazing. I am stuffed. I'd love to bring my burger-loving husband here some day. We didn't catch our waitress' name, but she was a cute, young blond woman and she was great. Thanks for helping us fix our exhausted, crabby attitudes! Great little hole-in-the-wall. It's super small, but we enjoyed ourselves.

This is a lovely little restaurant. We have come here for breakfast and lunch multiple times when visiting. Be prepared for a potential wait when you visit, but it's well worth the wait. If you have a huge appetite try the Holy Chuck. I get the Holy cheese and still take home a lot of it. The servers are very attentive and it's a great family owned restaurant.

Had dyna's piggy sandwich. Presented good, but the pork was not good, wet and almost slimy. Waited 45 min to get 2 burgers.

Dyna sandwich- pork on top not good. Bbq sauce is great, ranch great, my burger was ok. Not a ton of flavor but it was big. Bun is fresh. Displays well.took 45 min from time ordered. Cozy 12 table place. Will try again maybe a different sandwich.

Steak omelette with hash browns with onions.

Food and service is always a 10 out of 10! This steak omelette was delicious and massive. Two people could eat of it. Shout out to the cook. He might also be the owner but I'm not sure.

    Philly and sweet potato fries

Cute little restaurant in Dubuque Iowa! The decor is like a car garage/shop. We ordered Philly cheese steak and a Ruben with sweet potato and regular fries Sandwiches and regular fries ... 10/10 Sweet potato fries - I would say 9/10 only took one off for them being a little too sweet for me. Service was great. Glad we stopped :)

Stopped at this place while driving thru town. Small restaurant, very clean, car themed, seat and decor. Waitress was quick and attentive. Huge burger selection, very difficult to make a choice. Landed on the Biscuit and Gravy Burger, with a perfectly cooked egg on top. Delicious. Fries have a parmesean salt on them that was very tasty. Would definitely go again if I'm ever driving thru town again.

My SIL got the broasted chicken and said it was tasty as well. If you like chicken, it would be worth trying. Sadly I got a Mushroom and Swiss burger and it was fine. I always get burgers well done from a food safety perspective. It was medium at best. We already waited 40 minutes for food so I didn't send it back. The server never came back to ask how our food was either. My niece got a grilled cheese on the kid's menu. It was 90% bread for a 4 year old. Parents don't get this option! It's not worth the money. I know they were busy so trying to be respectful of that. Unfortunately the service was slow, the staff lacking and the food average to below, so go for a drink but choose your food wisely.

It's probably a 15 minute walk from Grand Harbor hotel. We came for the burger variety and milk shakes. Unfortunately they were out of ice cream so not everyone in the party got to enjoy shakes which was disappointing considering that was one of the selling points. Server was very polite as we know it wasn't his fault. Burgers were fantastic. Breaded Fries had great potential but a bit greasy for me. My son ordered a plain burger but was served a fully loaded. When the kitchen server came out and asked whose burger it was, we said it wasn't ours because he ordered a plain burger. She stated that it must be this one and handed to him. No harm done as he's not allergic to lettuce, tomato or pickles (kind of...he's a kid!) but just a miss there considering it wasn't the least bit busy. While I appreciate the casual atmosphere and table graffiti, they were rather sticky. There was a film on them so thick you could scratch with your nail. When your arms stick to the table it's a little annoying but it was upper 80's and humid. If I was local I'd give it another go. If you're visiting and love burgers, try it out as maybe we just had bad luck on a holiday weekend. Burgers were A+, just minor misses but nothing deal breaking unless it's a common occurrence.
