The store ioffers wide selection of popular brands, including Nike, Adidas, and North Face, as well as their own private-label brand, DSG. I did score on a pair of running shoes that were on sale and a decent price but decided to put my workout gear back as to. I know I can find better prices online. Price point set aside, I appreciate the variety of products and at least knowing there is a solid sporting good s store in the area. Extremely disappointing experience with Dick's Sporting Goods…read more I recently had knee surgery and was unable to leave my house or drive for an extended period of time. I am a volleyball coach and regularly tell all of my players to shop at Dick's Sporting Goods. My husband is also a basketball coach and recommends Dick's to his players as well, so our family has spent a significant amount of money with this company over the years. I had purchased knee pads in both a medium and a small. My daughter tried on the medium, which fit, and never even tried on the small. I was still within the 90-day return period and simply wanted to exchange the unused, brand-new small pair for a different size. Because of my surgery, I could not drive until my doctor medically cleared me. The closest Dick's Sporting Goods is an hour away, so once I was finally able to drive, I made the long trip and spent a considerable amount of money on gas just to make this return. Not only did they refuse to exchange an unused item that was still within the 90-day period, but the manager was extremely condescending and rude about it. I was not asking for a refund or trying to return something used. I simply wanted to exchange an unused pair of knee pads for the correct size. After years of recommending Dick's Sporting Goods to my athletes and spending money there myself, this experience has seriously changed my opinion of the company. The policy may be the policy, but the way this situation was handled, especially by the manager, was completely unacceptable. Customer service and common sense should matter, particularly when a customer is making a reasonable request under unusual circumstances.

They might not carry every specialty item you dream of, but they carry a reasonable facsimile and as I like to say, all you need to do swimming is a suit and goggles. All that other stuff is just other stuff you gotta keep up with! I've ordered branded swim caps through Sport Fair and have been really happy with the quality. I've purchased training suits for me (the giant drag suits), goggles, swim caps, and suits for my kids. In particular I was thrilled to get toddler size speedo suits for my daughters so they don't have to wear Target bargains. If you want your kid to learn to swim, they have to enjoy it and being dragged to the bottom by a stupid tutu or other absurd sexist decoration on a toddler suit from target is not my idea of fun! So not only have I thought the suits from here to be more fun for my kids, but safer, too. Really pleased to have this gem in our community.

I had no problem buying the updated versions online. However, the latest model absolutely destroyed my feet that I would feel pains in my arches and soles after only 3 miles! The most terrible thing is that the ASICS online store does not take returns or exchanges for worn shoes so I was out of $300 with almost brand new shoes. I searched around Arlington for a store that would assess my gait and also a store that would take returns/exchanges so that I would have to be strictly liable for running shoes that do not fit. Pacers fit the bill and so much more! The representative (apologies for forgetting his name) was SO helpful. He performed various tests on my feet, and recommended several models. He was quite knowledgeable about the different running shoes and discussed their pros and cons with ease. I saw they had a selection of outdoor camping chairs upstairs. Many were available. Most places charge a high cost for these outdoor chairs. Here the price ranged from $9.99 to $90. I like that you can buy it online and have it shipped to their location. One my way out, my friend came across a section with apparel that had "GOAT" on it with phrases like "Be the Greatest" or "Greatness with a side of Butter". I thought they were cute, albeit pricey. Great service as I entered the business - I liked that.

When the elevator finally got to my floor, a staff member rudely scoffed at me and quickly pushed the close button furiously before I can get on the elevator. Wow rude on a whole other level. This place is nice to browse and shop but maybe wait until they finish their renovations. Or bring a N95 before you get lung cancer. Also avoid the elevators if you can because you might run into the elevator troll and get denied access for no reason.
