Do not let the foot reflexogy part trick you into thinking that this is all you get. Though they do concentrate a little longer on the feet, it is a global experience from head to toe. The guy who did my massage was not heavy handed. That may be partly due to his discretion by the looks of my size. I am petite, but I like the knots around my shoulders to soften up a bit by applying more intensity to the area. The place is not one to be compared to the more upscale massage salons. The massage chairs are set up much like an assembly line. You are fully clothed and if you get lucky, you'll find a hanger for your sweater or coat. You soak your feet in some warm water and they use cucumber melon scented lotion. We came one hour before closing time so the perfectly dim room made it that more relaxing. Be forewarned: at this late hour, you may hear distracting snores from those around you as I did that even the soft, tranquil music playing cannot overpower. First of all, it's $20 so you get what you pay for. The place is filled with a bunch of sofa chairs in one open space so if you're looking for a massage where you can take off your clothes and be in your own private room, this is not the place for you. but if you're looking for a decent, cheap, and still semi-relaxing massage, then this is the place to go. during your massage you will hear the phone ringing, people walking around, small chatter going on from the other customers who are waiting or even from the staff.. but none of that bothered me too much, i was still able to drown out the noise and for the most part it wasn't TOO noisy.. We moved to the area recently and wanted to find a good foot massage place, so we tried Foot Relief. We have been here twice. The first time was good. The massage was good and the price was right. The music was lacking (pop instrumentals versus meditative music that you will find in other massage establishments) and the lights a bit too bright, but everything else was fine. (I'd have given it 3-4 stars.) We came back a 2nd time, but, unbelievably; the 4 massage therapists working in the large foot massage room on us, and 2 other clients, held a loud and animated conversation between themselves for the entire hour we were there! It was so distracting and frankly rude to do this. (1 star). Hence the average: 2 stars. They take feedback pretty well like if you want them to work softer or tougher. Really great for the price you pay. A lot of people on here are complaining about the noise, the one big room for everyone etc but you pay 20 bucks... cmon. The lady that did my massage got a little bit of a late start because the water she got me to soak my feet in was burning hot but that's okay because water temperature is more amplified when it comes in contact with your feet compared to hands. It lasted an hour-- they first start with massaging your head, forehead, temples, back of the ears.. then the masseuse works their way down, and then you turn around, and so on. I gave a star for the simple fact it is 20$ per hour for a full body. but it is not worth it!!! BUT I would rather pay more to have clean towels!!! 1 towel to lay on, 1 towel to keep warm and 1 small wash cloth for the eyes. I been here pre pandemic and during pandemic. It is a hit or miss depending on the person. $30 for feet and body massages. First time I was here, I felt like the massage was good for the price. Not too rough and relaxing. My last visit wasn't so pleasant. She dumped a ton of aloe Vera on my leg and was too rough with the massage. Every time I say a little softer she would be soft for a little bit and back to rough. She rough massaged my feet longer than my back. My back was an elbow dig for 5 mins. My feet were like 20 mins of knuckles. That experience don't make me wanna come back even at that price. It was like let me get this done as easy as I can. So much aloe vera used I felt sticky. I definitely showered after coming to this. I also feel like a lack of communication with front desk worker. I hate to review this place because I don't want anymore people coming in here while I want to go, making me wait longer. However, there are things that need to be cleared up. 1. It' $20. 2. You must pay in cash or otherwise pay a larger amount on your credit card and get gift certificates in return. 3. If you buy 10 sessions for $200, they give you one session free. ( I have this.) 4. The new heavenly black massage chair contraptions on the left doesn't squeak like the other ones to the right. 10. It's $20, tip them nicely and use cash. You can literally find me here every weekend. Now that I've been to just about everyone there, my favorites are Anna and Aaron. They both apply pressure firmly but not to the point where it is super painful. Also a break down of what to expect: you soak your feet in warm/hot water for about 15 min while they work on your head (including your ears), neck, arms (and sometimes underarms) and hands. They remove the bucket, apply reflexology techniques to feet (this may be painful if you've never had it done before), and lather up your calves and feet with their lotion (which they wipe off with a hot cloth.) Then its off to leg stretches and pulls. Lastly, they turn you over, do your back (sometimes the gluteus maximus as well,) the back of the leg and finish with a couple slaps on the back. It's awesome I tell you... just sometimes a little too painful for my liking thus minus a star. And btw I love the staff here... they are always super friendly with me and I don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese. Wow. I'm not sure where any of the reviewers that posted over 3 stars for this place ever got foot massages from. But these were not massages. I went here w my gf and we pretty much had the same consensus....although her experience was slightly better than mine. My masseur's breath smelled like a combination of liquor, cigarettes and tooth decay. It's pretty difficult to relax during a massage when you're holding your breath. My only sweet release from this agony was when he worked on my feet. I can imagine my brief slumber at this time was due to all the effort on my part to hold my breath. As for the massage, 95% of it was worse than what I would get from a massage chair, and maybe only 5% slightly better. I seriously could have gotten some vagrant to lean on me with his elbows and various other sharp body parts and it would have been the same thing. You couldn't pay me the amount I spent to endure that "massage" again. I have been getting massages for almost 15 years and this is easily almost if not the worst massage I have ever had. And this isn't even a personal thing! They were nice, and courteous, but I have to call a spade a spade. I tipped the dude $10. I have a feeling he hasn't got much more going on in his life. I've been wanting to try reflexology for a while. Today I had lunch near this store and stopped to read the signs in the window. Among the signs was a description of reflexology in Chinese, Vietnames and English among other things was the price schedule which was $19.99 for an hour and $16.99 for patrons over 60 years old. Being an old guy I figured I'd try it out and take advantage of the old guy discount. The service was good, the massage technician was good and I enjoyed the procedure. When I went to pay it was $20.00, I asked for the over 60 price and was told "oh, that was a grand opening poster - very old". If they're massaging too hard or hitting a spot that hurts, say something. -Bring ear plugs if you're easily distracted by noise. The phone rings, people walk in, and you can sometimes hear other customers snoring. -Wear slippers or sandals and loose, comfortable clothing. -Bring at least $5 cash to tip. I usually tip more, considering how hard they work for the entire hour. -Once you get a good massage, ask for your masseur's name, and don't forget it! Come back and ask for the same guy over and over again. They'll figure out what you like and you'll always get a good massage. I'd like to give these guys a higher rating, since I'm a regular and I'm always raving about the price, but it's so hit or miss that I can't. My cousin took me here to relax after a long and frustrating day at work. She sold me on the fact that it was $25 (plus tip) for an hour of massage. I always wondered if they changed the over sized towels that they lay out over the chairs and one to cover you, as well, as some smaller towels they use to wrap our feet after the feet soak. So today, after my massage, I watch the person gather the towels they just used on me and followed him with my eyes (I was near the room where they take supposed the dirty towels, and pick up clean ones). I could not believe what I saw...he took the dirty towels and re folded them neatly and stacked them up as if he just took this from a clean stack and then replaced them on the recliner!!! Yuk...no wonder at times the towels feel a little wet or not fresh smelling! These are the times when I wish my pocket book had enough for me to splurge and not have to settle for something like this! However, this is what it is and if I want to get some relaxation...this is the best option for now. However, on my next visit, I am personally going to ask for fresh new towels...or ask if they change their towels after every customer...I just ran out of time today...on my next visit I will for sure! 5 stars to Fox. Yes her name is Fox and she is absolutely amazing. I've been seeing her for the last year and now that I am almost 5 months pregnant, I am even more thankful. Pregnancy can definitely put a strain on your body, but with the help of Fox, she manages to work out the kinks and makes me feel brand new again. Of course, she doesn't do your typical foot massage, she tweaks the entire massage to help focus on your concerns and rubs certain pressure points to alleviate any pain. If you are prego, I would definitely recommend you see her ASAP. Just let her know that you are expecting, that way she doesn't make you lie on your tummy. Try to go once a week, it's seriously worth the $20 every time. Treat yourself, cause I'm sure the sore aches, back pains would only get worse. Great place to relax for cheap. My girlfriend and I come here weekly to work out some stress and kinks. We recommend Mimi for the gals and Po or Daniel for the guys.I can't speak for the women but Po and Daniel are exceptional. A friend of mine referred me here for what she told me was an inexpensive but very good massage. I honestly was not expecting much for $20/hour. I'm a bit of a massage snob, and I like and dislike very specific things, but she had raved about it so I was hoping for at least a halfway decent experience. It wasn't even close. Quite frankly, it was awful. Where do I begin? First of all, no one there speaks English. You can't tell them to focus on specific areas. They don't understand you. There is no communication at all. They just want you to sit down and they start massaging you. This is really lousy service from a massage place, and anyone who knows anything about massage knows this. One guy seemed to speak broken English, and I told him very explicitly I wanted everything BUT my feet massaged. This seemed to really confuse him and the masseur. I explained to him that have very sensitive, painful feet and don't like them touched. I explained this, and he told me that if I wanted the masseur not to rub my feet, the price doubled to $40. I said no way, and was starting to get up and walk out when he said OK OK, no feet, $20. Unbelievable! The masseur brought out a bucket of hot water and made me put my feet into it. Just weird, but OK. Then, he reclined the massage chair so that I was flat on my back with my feet bent at the knee at a 90 degree angle with my feet in a bucket. People, this is NOT a comfortable position. It was really straining on my lower back, so eventually I just pulled my feet out of the water and laid them straight out. Ugh, by this time, I'm thinking my friend, whom I adore, must have much lower massage standards than me. So far, this is awful. The masseur began by doing some way-too-light acupressure therapy on my face and neck. I tried to ask him to go deeper, but of course he had no clue what I was saying. I got literally nothing out of that, which was a huge disappointment since one of my tightest areas is my neck! He went on to massage my arms and the front of my legs with some weird massage technique that as far as I'm concerned isn't even a legit massage technique. Basically, he just pushed down on me. ??? Then, guess what? He began massaging my feet. After that long discussion about NOT touching my feet, he is massaging away. It was painful as hell, but by this time I was so pissed and knew he didn't speak English, I just dealt with it and soon it was over. Finally, he had me flip on to my stomach and massaged the back side of my body. Once again he used that weird technique of pushing down on me hard. He didn't take any care to find and work out any knots. Again, just awful. After 45 minutes, he announced my (one hour) massage was over. I handed him $20 and left. No tip. In addition to the subpar massage, the place was really noisy out front as many other reviews have said. Totally NOT relaxing in any way. This place totally blows. AVOID! FYI, I am a longtime customer of Massage Envy in Fremont. I've taken great care to find a really good, legitimate therapist there who knows me and knows exactly what to do to give me a thorough, relaxing massage. I figured hey, I can go to Foot Relief once in a while for a quickie massage when my normal masseuse is busy. BIG BIG BIG MISTAKE on my part. Firstly, this place is located in the Chevron gas station plaza. Between Little Caesars pizza and the dry cleaners. Ok so I needed a massage super bad and didn't wanna drive to SJ to my usual spot. My masseuse was excellent! The wait times given by the person working the desk were WAY off. So much so that I almost left. And it was that way for many people that came in behind me. $20 for w hour massage is not bad. I called them at 9:30pm on a Monday for 2 people and the owner said come on down. They were closing at 10pm but they stayed late till 11pm didn't rush, did everything nicely. Ive been to some great spas obviously this didn't compare but no complaints. The massages here are decent.. But, do they have to talk so frackin' loud? I mean, really. I'm sorry if all this massaging is getting in the way of your conversation. (rolls eyes) It's hard to feel relaxed when all I hear is your damn voice in my ear. Ugh. This place gets 2.5 stars because: - it's damn cheap - $20 an hour. - they *used* to give really good massages. problem is, you really have to find the right masseuse. A handful are great, and will really work to get those knots out of your shoulders. Unfortunately, unless you can remember the name / face, sometimes your choice of a masseuse is a crap shoot. - convenient location. Go for a massage and pamper yourself even more with some good grub. And boy is there plenty to be had in this particular complex. I've been to enough of these cheap massage places - which, don't get me wrong, I do love. But sometimes the quality is just better at other places. Every time we've gone here has been out of convenience (e.g., visiting friends nearby, family lunch at a restaurant in the complex, etc.), but we wouldn't go out of our way just to "relax" here. read more

Got the best massage ever! Mei was really awesome, and I feel so refreshed. She is friendly and adjusts her massage pressure based on your need. For $20 + $5 tip, this is one of the best things you could gift yourself. Money well spent. I am going to come here every week, and cut corners on my budget elsewhere. If the noise/distraction level reduced a tad bit (from new clients walking in, the business phone ringing, and people paying at the counter), this place would be GOLD. But heck, its $25 bucks can't expect a high class spa service. read more

I don't know what happened with the other reviews, but here's my two cents. I walked in at 6pm Friday evening. The place was quiet with relaxing music and was dim enough to close your eyes and fall asleep. 5 mins and I was on the big black super comfy recliner. I had really sore and inflamed shoulders and in an hr of kneading back and front, I was in heaven. It was the best $20 bucks I ever spent. I gave Lee $15 tip cos it was way worth it. read more

The massage was FANTASIT my second time back BUT.. The RUDE IGNORANT LADY SO CALLED NAMED JUDY! was a real pill!!!!! She is a massager there and chineese. Very rude. pushy abrupt and LOUD.. SHe made the experience not relaxing. She argurd with the customers and made rude hand gesters. I will go again for the others and the great massage but if you go DO NOT GET HER! read more
