On a random Weds night I wanted to find a massage place for a Thurs night, after work massage. I know it'd be harder to find places that offer later massage times to accomodate and I am still looking for a nice, clean massage parlor that I can just drop in to, close by. I pulled up Yelp and saw Thai Spa and decided to give it a try. Pictures looked nice, reviews have said it's clean so I called them up and got myself an appointment that works for me. They did require you to put your credit card down for the reservation in case of a no-show, which is totally fair. When I got there it was very clean and I might have been the last person for the day. The owner who greeted me was extremely kind and sweet. The masseuse was Chinese speaking so the language barrier was a little bit harder, but the overall massage was pretty good. I appreciated how accommodating the owner was which is why I'm giving it five stars. Overall the cleanliness is above average so I would choose this over the Asian foot spas even though it's a little bit pricier. read more

Overall my experience was good but i want to share some feedbacks - i share a room with my friend and her masseuse asked her questions on what she want, what spot, type of massage, follow up on her but mine didnt, she just went straight into it. No greetings or anything. No follow up, only when i say something. I think this needs to be consistent - music is too low, light is too bright - receptionist check in halfway through and stand next to me really disrupt the experience. I dont want to be pressure to answer questions while being face down naked...i never experience this before. my masseuse is right there what can i say except good? I appreciate good customer service but i dont think this is a good idea - they massage body, feet then head. Usually it's head, body and feet. I dont want hands touching my feet to touch my face. I didnt realize until my friend told me - the cover for the pillow is very rough on the skin. With the pressure from the massage my skin got rubbed against it and it stings. My skin isnt sensitive either. My friend feels the same and we both come out with marks on our face but we forgot to mention this cause we were in a rush. Went in for a last minute massage after a long week and I decided to book for a 90 minute hot stone massage with On. The place itself was so clean, cozy, and quiet. The massage spaces were individual rooms, which was nice since it felt more comfortable (I'm used to going to the places that are separated by curtains). On was incredibly friendly as she checked in throughout the massage to make sure everything felt okay. I didn't feel too much pressure to tip as some places feel, but they definitely deserved one (they also make it easy to calculate a fair tip from a sign in the front). I needed a massage ASAP because my lower back and leg was sore. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following morning first thing at 11am right when they opened. The masseuse who was assigned to me was Win or Weng. And she was good, very attentive and I explained to the manager and to the masseuse where I was in pain and they were very helpful. Here are some categories I think of for when researching a massage place (especially if it's a big investment) - Cleanliness - 5/5; I always want to make sure it smells and feels clean. There are multiple customers having services so cleanliness is HUGE. Staff friendliness - 5/5; the lady who was at the front, gave us a warm welcome and provided clipboards so that she can share it with our massage therapists regarding focus areas or any history the need to be aware of 90 min Swedish Massage Service - 5/5; our massage therapists were Kelly and Angel. Highly recommend either of them because their technique in finding the stress points is so great! They truly are experts! Pricing - 4/5; I believe that they're going with a model that prices all of their massages at the same price point depending on the length of the massage. Traditionally, I've seen other places have a price difference like say for example between a Swedish massage and deep tissue massage. It would've been nice to have a first time customer discount as I've seen at other places - especially in this recession. We paid: $260*for two 90-min Swedish massages and we tipped $25 each. *please note - there is a credit card/debit card fee. I wish they would've provided this caveat via phone when I was making the appt so I could've saved the service charge fee by getting cash. I was really happy when this place opened since I finally don't have to drive to Union City. I'd like to preface that I always try a massage place several times before posting a review because *consistency* is what I look for in a place where you just don't know who is an expert at what. I have a chronic upper back (traps) / shoulder / neck tension due to my corporate job. I always get the same deep tissue massage asking masseuses to focus on the same areas so I have a pretty good idea on whether a place knows their stuff. Since getting Thai deep tissue massage for many years now, there's only been one Thai massage place where I didn't have to conduct research on which masseuse would give me the best massage. I am still sad about not finding a replacement for that place since moving to Fremont. This place has good promise. Clean and nice staff. But just very inconsistent performance from their masseuses. Came for my first prenatal massage with Lisa and it was SO relaxing! I wanted her to focus on my lower back as that's where most of my pain was and I feel refreshed after my session. No pain at all. The spa was easy to find with plenty of parking. The location was really clean and really set the vibe for a calming experience. I'm definitely coming back for a postpartum massage in a few weeks. After reading quite a few reviews on Yelp, I ended up booking an appointment here. When I arrived, the parking lot was quite full but I was able to snatch a spot when someone drove off. The inside of this place was extremely clean and they took me in immediately. My appointment was for a deep tissue massage for 1.5 hours and it was very relaxing. I think I even fell asleep in the middle of the massage. Since I'm not new to getting Thai massages, I noticed that my masseuse focused mainly on my problems areas and barely massaged other areas of my body. Usually, after I get a deep tissue massage, I would feel pain all over but it will eventually go away after a few days. Unfortunately, after the massage here, my shoulder and neck was still hurting.
