Incredible place to get a deep tissue massage. I did the 90-minute Foot Reflexology massage and it was so relaxing! The pressure is much firmer than standard here. In the lobby area you check in, remove your shoes, and silence your phone. Then you're escorted to a large dimly lit room where massage beds are semi-private and separated in pairings with beaded curtains. There is relaxing music playing so you don't really notice other people in the room besides the noise of the employees walking around. You start off soaking your feet in a warm soak as you get a head and arm massage. Next they massage your feet and calves, then you flip onto your stomach and they end with a deep back, neck, and shoulder massage. You are fully clothed the entire time, so I would wear shorts and a loose fitting top. There is a small basket by your massage bed that you can put your belongings in. Well, in the form of confession, it's been a long time since my last spa visit (a Vegas massage and suntan place) so I approached this one with some trepidation. It was a pleasant surprise! The place is clean and inviting. I was in for a foot massage (30 minutes for $25). I came in; paid at the counter and took off my shoes and place them in a rack. The massage area is a large, high ceilinged room with about 20 pallets separated by curtains. There were about a half dozen people getting massages; all male masseuses at the time I was there. The room was softly lit with low, soothing music. My masseuse put a finger to his lips indicating that it was a quiet area. He indicated that I was to lie down on the pallet. He then placed a towel loosely over my eyes and covered me with a blanket and began the massage. He worked on each foot for about 15 minutes and then I was done. Few words were spoken but we communicated with gestures as needed. I thanked him and gave him a $5 tip. He gave me a post massage bottle of water when we got to the waiting room. I put on my shoes and was out the door; feeling great. I'm giving all this description to highlight how easy and hassle free the whole process turned out to be. There's just something about a complete stranger running their hands and fingers in between your toes that drives me wild...in a good way. My Groupon for a 40 minute foot reflexology massage was about to expire, so I decided to use it on a Friday afternoon right after work. The Groupon said to make an appointment and calling on the day of was no problem. They had an opening for me at 5:15. The whole experience was very relaxing and peaceful. My masseuse then came by and had me dip my feet in warm water to soak, and told me to layb down. He then put a blanket on me and came by behind me to start massaging my head and temples, neck, and upper back. Omg it felt divine! I was surprised to be getting this head massage as i thought my feet would be the only one to get the special treatment on this visit. After about 5-10 minutes (I wasnt keeping count as I was in a state of relaxation and ALMOST asleep but not quite), he moved onto massaging my right arm, right shoulder, and right hand, then repeated it on my left side. After about 10 minutes of that, he moved to the feet. This guy had the softest and smoothest hands but was strong enough to give that oomph. Imagining someone massaging each individual toe. Working their way from the smallest to the largest toe, then to the soles of your feet, then repeating it on your other foot. The feeling was amazing and I never wanted it to end. He then moved on to stretching out your legs and lower body. He worked on my feet/legs for about 20-25 minutes but felt longer. I was a little confused at first upon entering the room as it's a group space so the staff just points to things. Just received a massage as a Christmas gift. The massage was ok but my masseuse was forceful when transitioning me to different positions. He also made me uncomfortable when he tapped me on my butt a few times. At first I didn't think of it as I thought it was part of the massage but when I realized he didn't repeat the same taps on my right side I knew it was something different. I also didn't like the fact that the receptionist guilt trips you into paying an extra tip. The lady literally chased after me and tapped on my car window to ask for a tip. When I went to hand my therapist $10 tip for a $38 foot massage I was given a run around and referred to suggested tipping sheet. I've worked 20+ years in the restaurant industry and very much so understand and value the intent of a tip. As a result. They did not get tipped at all. And I will not be back.
