The masseuse assigned used techniques I've never seen/felt and was actually uncomfortable during the massage. I got a Groupon for an hour couples massage with hot coals to try this place out. We arrived 10 minutes before our appointment and they took us in right away. They bring you into a room and tell you to strip down to your underwear. The massage is amazing. They ask you if the pressure is good a couple of times throughout the massage. The only thing I did not like was that the masseuse for my boyfriend kept leaving the room to get supplies but wouldn't say anything. I noticed without him saying anything because I heard her leave the room multiple times and even wondered if he had the same experience I did as it seemed that she spent more time outside the room. Overall it was great! We even paid for an extra 15 minutes. The time flies while you're relaxing. The hot stones were my favorite part. I want to start off by saying the actual massage I received was great! Mei did a fantastic job and I feel so much less tense compared to when I came in. I also want to note that the staff is very friendly. My criticisms are more so in regard to two things. 1. They didn't do a good job insulating the sounds from outside the room in which I got my massage. What I am referring to is I could hear sounds of other customers talking / exiting as well as staff entering neighboring rooms which makes it hard to fully relax. 2. Services are offered during the massage which again interrupts me relaxing. I think it's better to offer all services prior to beginning the massage so that way no disruptions have to occur, even if for a minute to offer these additional services. I did ask for a little more pressure but unfortunately the language barrier made it difficult for her to understand what I was saying. 2. The massage therapist kept leaving the room to get supplies without saying anything. I'd recommend having all supplies in the room ready to go with the exception of maybe the hot stones. 3. On a sheet prior to the massage they asked you to circle tension areas but then didn't really focus on them. Again I enjoyed my massage, especially the hot stones portion. The hour flew by! Check for coupons online to make their prices even more affordable. You can always add on once you're there too with essential oils or cupping. Though the walls don't go all the way up to the ceiling, so you can hear everything. Halfway though my massage, a pair of super giggly girls came in and it definitely took away from the experience. I went here as a gift from my partner about a month ago and loved the care and massage I got! I brought my sister back to enjoy the experience as well and I was very disappointed by the service. I was 11min late to my appointment and very apologetic but the care we got following definitely felt like reprimand. They paired my sister and I in the same room which was no issue and the one giving my sister a massage was talkative the entire time despite there being Quite signs all over the room. That same woman was also very harsh with my sister despite my sister vocalizing she was being rough. I was very confused how they were so many negative ratings because I had had such a great initial first visit last night. I booked a second appointment with pure serenity spa and this time, I was not walked over to the building across the intersection I was kept in the main location building. I had one of the most sketchy loud no. peaceful Massage. It was top five worst massages I've ever had in my entire life. You could hear absolutely everything, you could hear them massaging the clients in the next room. When my massage therapist greeted me she told me that she was so tired that she had been nonstop working all day I could hear her stomach growling during the entire massage appointment not only that she did the same maneuver over and over and over again probably because she was so exhausted from working all day After finishing our massage that I felt extremely guilty receiving. I asked her if she was done working and it was 7 o'clock and if she was finished for the day and she could not even walk me out of my appointment, she had to run into the next room because they already had another client waiting for her. I will never be back. I will never ever recommend coming to this location. I will tell you to avoid it I am shocked that they kept me in the building and they didn't walk me across the street. They are running two entirely different spa experiences. I received a foot soak, a gong bowl being dinged in my ear. I was told to breathe in and breathe out the second appointment I was put in a room with big signs talking about sex trafficking, and to be quiet. There was paper towels, and all this signage on the walls. I have videos and pictures. I recently went for a couples massage over the weekend. This is my 2nd time going here and unfortunately, I was very disappointed. During my first visit, we had the opportunity to fill out a form and select specific target areas and level of firmness. This time around felt very rushed and we did not fill out a form. They asked my partner and I to pick a scent, which I figured was included in the groupon. It was not which cost $25 and I didn't notice the scent used during the massage. Additionally, they told me my partner needed cupping midway through the massage and said it would cost $35, but when we finished the massage, I was charged $72 because they charged an additional $35 for me to have 10 additional minutes of a massage. Had I known it was going to be that expensive, I would have requested to simply end after my 60 minutes were up. I felt very awkward because I was in the lobby and I felt like I couldnt explain that I felt blindsided by the additional cost with other customers waiting. I also offered a $20 tip and somehow the total came to $112 without an explanation. I am just very disappointed because I somehow ended up having to spend around $140 extra in addition to what I paid for the Groupon. I did not receive an itemized receipt so it felt as if they were just randomly adding extra charges without an explanation which seemed unprofessional. If you choose to make an appointment, just make sure to tell them you only want what is covered in the Groupon. read more

We arrived a couple min late but they were still turning over the room so we got our full 60 min session. Looking at their menu I personally felt the standard prices were not that bad. With that being said the walls in the massage rooms do not go all the way up, making the background noise very apparent. I had a great massage and will make this my go to place for massages. Here are some great tips: 1) They offer a handsome price package for a 90 minute massage and the price of the Groupon is technically the same price to book directly through them, so you don't really need a Groupon to get that price. 2) It says 90 minutes and it is exactly that. Please arrive well hydrated and on a nearly empty stomach because if you are dehydrated or on a full stomach it can cause sickness. 3) It is walking distance from the brown line Armitage stop, but if you decide to drive you are on your own with parking. You may as well call the darn tow truck and ask them to take your car because there's no where to park at all. You are going to be in there for almost two hours don't play games with the parking over there and if you aren't prepared to park far away and walk don't drive. 4) The quality of your massage depends largely on who does it. I had Linda and Tina and they were great. If you had a less than stellar massage with one person please keep in mind that they have a variety of options and you shouldn't judge the business based on one massage. The same way your employers shouldn't be judged based on one person. 5) The massage oils are a gimmick, hard pass. They are $10-15 for a tiny bottle and they don't smell as advertised at least not with my nose. They are suppose to be mixed with your lotion but if you smell the bottle and don't feel relax you can save your money. I sniffed a few bottles and felt it was not something that would be worth the investment. read more
