The people here are sooo nice! The product works so well it kept my fridge colder than it is normally! It was about 1 dollar/pound for the pellets of dry ice. They lasted two days. It's more effective than regular ice, less messy, but more expensive. But with these crazy power outages certainly a good way to go. And it's a local business with super friendly folks. They even carried it out to my car after purchase. read more

Show up with your empty cooler, get pelletized dry ice by the pound. It's pretty simple. They are great people to talk to and get this really unique form of dry ice from. Save yourself from losing hundreds of $$$ worth of food in your fridge and freezers if you don't have a backup generator. And think ahead too for the PGE shutoffs. I got some recently with the Jones Fire, and also bought a cooler full of pellets during last years troubles, as it was cheap enough to have on hand just in case. I had too much for myself so I shared it with neighbors who were very appreciative. We have to help each other up here, and the family at Foothill Dry Ice definitely help make that happen. Hey my names Chris I own and manage a small personal business in Nevada City. Just the other day my ice machine used to keep about 1,500$ worth of food and beverage cold had its last day unfortunately. And it goes bad on a Sunday morning, so I'm freakin trying to get it fixed but it's not possible. Last minute decision I called the owners of foothill dry ice.
