After being a loyal good paying customer for 12 years, Precison Electric let their policy replace thier good judgement and brains. Recently after having my two generators serviced the older smaller one was found to need a starter due to a failed solenoid. No problem and no big deal, its a common failure item with older engines. I recently found a buyer for my house so want toleave it good shape. However Precision refused to get the part underway unless i prepaid first. This after my refusing to let them eat a part on an earler repair that the owner and I undertook together. When you develop policy geared to the lowest common denominator, it becomes self filling and crummy customers become your entire business. I'm loyal until that loyalty is not appreciated or returned. Its amazing to have a company that knows what they are doing. We knew we had a main seal leak on our Generac generator that was causing an oil leak. We had a contractor come out and without diving deep enough into it tried to say we over filled the oil. They then tried to bill us $450 for accomplishing nothing. When the generator came back on the next time we lost power it was still spewing oil. We then called Precision out and Charlie, the mechanic was able to diagnose the problem immediately from where the oil leaks were. Traced it back to the main seal and replaced it. He was able to diagnose, tear it apart, repair it, put it back together in two hours. Everything covered under warranty. The overall experience with the people in the office as well as the mechanic was very refreshing especially in todays world of work ethic. read more

I love this company. They were fantastic every step of the way. I needed a RV plug installed and some minor tweaking at my breaker box and they did it without a hitch at an extremely affordable price. Ben was the electrician and he was great. Very professional and competent technicians; administrative staff - not so much. Two GENERAC propane fueled generators were annually serviced ($350). Both worked very well before servicing. (I'm a technician, but only on satellite transmitters and meteorological sensors.) The 16K generator did NOT work after servicing because a resistor was out of tolerance after the software update. Bottom line: A $125 extra charge and 3 week delay for another technician to replace a $10 (wholesale) resistor that was working fine before Precision Electric serviced the unit. I had Precision Electric come out a couple weeks ago because I had messed up some wiring in my bathroom. (I found them on Yelp.) They use a texting system of reminding you of your appointment, letting you know when they're on their way, and then arriving exactly on time- it's pretty impressive. Josh, the electrician got the job done in an hour and in the most professional and unobtrusive way. I highly recommend Precision Electric and will use them again if I ever decide to tinker with my light fixtures again (without any experience whatsoever.) Outstanding service. The part to fix our generator arrived earlier than expected, 4 days after the snow storm of 12/27. With phone lines, Internet and Verizon down they couldn't contact us. They trudged through 3 feet of snow to knock on our front door. He said whether we are home or not they we're going to go around back and fix our generator. Wonderful Customer Service and Diligence....we had a unique situation with our septic tank and had to go back and forth with the septic company about what the actual issue was. Septic or Electric??? The team at Precision when the extra mile to contact the septic company to get their view point of the situation and Precision even came out while we were out of town to handle things so then upon our return our tank was up and running with no issues. Totally disappointed. I had some minor electrical and one complex issue. The complex issue sits half done for more than two weeks now. I personally had researched the issue and emailed them a video on June 12 with specs for the transformer that would work, requesting they take a look and let me know.. not a word! I called two days ago and was told I would receive a call back. No reply , either by phone, text or email. Will not be using them for either my generator or any electrical. read more

So, I didn't actually have Precision Electric do any work for me -- because they said I didn't need it! I talked to Rachel over email and set up an appointment for the electrician to come out and look at what I thought was a major job. He inspected it and told me I didn't need what I had been led to believe I did -- and told me all about how the house was wired and what had been done in the past and how to use the existing panel more efficiently. He gave me a very fair quote for work that I ended up deciding not to move forward on. If I need an electrician in the future, I will call them back. I just can't believe how honest and friendly and informative he was. These are good people. read more

After an initial bid to replace an aging and fire prone electrical service panel, they returned to give me a revised bid. It was about 60 % of the first bid. However, the solution they proposed the second time was much preferable to replacing the original panel set in a stucco exterior wall. They placed a sub-panel inside the garage and used the old panel as a pass through for the wires from the main circuit breaker. Great solution and saved a lot of money. The work was done very well and the technician even relabeled all the new circuits. Great job. My only issue was having to ask for a second option since the first was very expensive. I had used them prior to this job due to some serious existing problems. When they saw the old service panel, he explained why it needed to be replaced. I had that experience on another house so was aware of the problem. They did an equally great job on the earlier repairs. read more
