I started coming to Dr. Mehr as a workers comp referral over a year ago due to a low back injury. I was also receiving PT at the time, however it was not helpful. Having tried other Chiropractors in the past i was also skeptical of this location. I'll also say that initially i was thrown a little off by DR. Mehr's directness. However, once you get down to the nuts and bolts of his practice he is direct because he cares. He is direct because he is holding you accountable, and he is direct because he wants you to get better. I was sent to Foothil Family Chiropractic for a severe neck and back workmans comp injury. The first session I had numbness and pain shooting from my neck, down my arm, and into my hand. I have seen Chiropractors off and on for over 20 years. Dr Mehr is by far the best chiropractor I have ever gone to. In fact, after incurring a back injury in January 2023 I started with a particular chiropractor who was recommending surgery at my third appointment. I was looking for a non-surgical solution. I then came to Dr Mehr needing to use a low back brace to stand up. I brought x-rays and an MRI I had done with me. He explained what they were showing and what treatment he would recommend. Through spinal decompression and chiropractic adjustments, by April 2023 I did not need to use the back brace anymore. Recently, September 2024, Dr Mehr took x-rays of my neck. After educating me to what they were showing, we started neck decompression treatments. Within a month of these treatments I am already seeing increased mobility, strength and balance. Going to Dr Mehr is the best decision I ever made. He is very knowlegable, very skilled and very friendly. He cares about his patients and does his best to help them get, and stay, healthy. Thankful for Claudia who got my 11-yr old son in to see Dr Mehr the same day. My son stubbed his toe over the weekend and has been in pain. We took him in the urgent care before going in to make sure there are no broken bones. Dr Mehr did a thorough examine of his foot before adjusting it. I have gotten back adjustments in LB, SF valley, LA, and other neighboring cities and have never left as blown away as I was after getting my back adjustment with Dr. Mehr. I have been dealing with back aches and injuries since 2018. Whether it's moving a pool table, at the gym, or working @ the barbershop; I can never seem to get away from a back injury. Where do I start...I have had chronic back pain for years on top of migraines. I was having migraines up to 3-4 time a a week at one point. The only solution my primary Dr came up with was to put me on medication. I was referred to Foothill Family Chiropractic. The first apportionment I was blown away at how much time they took to really hear my a aches, and pain. I then had an in house X-ray to better understand why my migraines, and chronic pain was so frequent. I was then shown the problem areas and talked about plan of action. I wanted to hit the ground running. Well maybe not running but a brisk jog. After my first few appointment I was already feeling relief. I then purchased this magical ice pack!!! I was told to ice for 10 minutes a day and let me tell you there's magic in that ice pack!!!! After my first month of appointments I realized I have not once taken my migraine medication. I kept quite to not to jinx myself. After month TWO no headaches or migraines I had to finally say something. I have been officially off my medication for TWO MONTHS!!! Amazing! Dr. Mehr and his staff are amazing! My first time ever going to a chiropractor. I was feeling neck and lower back pain here and there. Something most people just live with but I felt like I should just get it checked. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, Claudia at the front best was really nice and she sent me docs ahead of time so I saved so much time wen I arrived. He did a very thorough intake with me and since I have chronic conditions, he asked to receive all of my records from my medical doctor. He also performed x-rays prior to an treatment. This Mehr guy is a patronizing arrogant "doctor"! I do not recommend him whatsoever. He has this scam running for "decompression" of your back. That was his main focus, not the pain I was having regarding my neck and lower back. Second visit, he spent 3 minutes with me and he still hasn't given me any relief. Then, once again, the issue of that magical $4000 decompression came up and I was done! He basically refused to give me an adjustment! I told him that I had received chiro care before and I received adjustments from them. He then basically turned red and told me I could go anywhere I wanted for THAT kind of care. So I will! Con man and an opportunist doesn't fall under the description of a professional chiropractor in my opinion. Don't use this guy and FIND ANYONE ELSE!!!
