Our experience so far with one surgery completed is excellent. No problems were encountered with the staff; they have been very helpful and courteous. It is a very busy office (I think this is a good sign), but we never feel rushed. The office manager was especially helpful and went out of her way to work with my schedule since I live out of state and must care for my mother until she has fully recovered. We find Dr. Kurwa to be personable and knowledgable. He takes time to answer questions especially from my nervous mother. As an example my mother was concerned a week after the first surgery and wanted to make sure that everything was on track. We were able to easily schedule an appointment the very next day with Dr. Kurwa to make sure everything was OK. All was well; he was factual and reassuring. All in all we feel like we're in good hands and feel that we have made the right choice.

I was suppose to get my Rt Eye surgery. I CANCEL before he did my surgery. Since I saw and still seeing what my son's going though with his Rt Eye. Dr. Ngai is very knowledgeable and accomplished with exceptional credentials. I was very impressed with his explanations about cataracts, lens types, and the surgery process. I had my surgery in June and July and could not be happier with the results. The surgery was quick and painless and I now have great vision. I came here with my adult daughter to get vision correction surgery…read more I seriously had my doubts because my daughter suffers from anxiety and had very poor vision. Dr Nicole Fuerst chose to do LASIK in one eye and PRK on the worse eye. The surgery was done at the Caster Eye Center in Beverly Hills. Yes, the drive will suck, but once you see the high tech equipment and skilled staff you will be glad you made the drive. The technician who helped Dr Fuerst do my daughter's eyes was incredible. She calmed my anxious daughter down, enough to get the surgery done. In the end, my daughter's eyes were corrected beyond expectations or better than glasses or contacts.

He truly treats you and your vision problems as a holistic issue, because they are. The eyes are a part of the brain and the brain is connected to the body, that is a scientific fact that Dr. Doug runs his whole practice by. If you have any weird vision/neuro-visual problems that have stumped other doctors please go see Dr. Doug. My background is one of complex illness and chronic pain. This is likely due to a combination of mold exposure, my binocular vision dysfunction, my asthma, and my ADHD. I went to him with binocular vision dysfunction that was being in adequately treated by a different vision therapist. At the time I first saw dr Doug my binocular vision dysfunction was so bad it was debilitating me, despite being in a vision therapy program for several months. While the vision therapist that I was currently seeing was stumped, Dr. Doug's investigative mind was able to point out some very bizarre observations in how my symptoms were behaving which changed my whole treatment path to a more accurate one. He told me exactly why my case was confusing my vision therapist at the time. He didn't just explain these findings to me, he showed me and had me experience these findings via mini in-office test. I am honestly afraid of of thinking how long it would've took me to realize these things myself if I had not seen Dr. Doug. I would've perhaps wasted years and thousands of dollars in the wrong treatments I have not seen Dr. Doug when I did. This guy is aware of many conditions that affect the eyes that have nothing to do with the eyes. Mainstream optometry is beginning to push awareness that diabetes, MS, and brain trauma can cause eye issues. Dr doug is lightyears ahead of this and considers much more than just those. Mold exposure and allergies, nutrition, Neurodivergence, Colors, Visual stress are just a few of the things he considers. Still, he is very much an eye expert and treats the eyes accordingly. With dr. Doug it's not either/or when it comes to treating your eyes and pointing out other problems affecting the eyes, he treats both the eyes and the overall person. He is also WIZARD at prescribing accommodative and prism glasses, and teaching you little tricks and coping mechanisms that make HUGE impacts on function. He got me right with custom tinted lenses (we combined a light blue and light rose color, so cool) plus prism that MASSIVELY improved my functioning and reduced symptoms like headaches. I have told dr doug that the glasses alone are priceless to me , invaluable. He makes the process so fun and interesting. I am a research junkie, and Dr doug is one of the few clinicians who can still teach me a thing or two and does. The fact he takes VSP for his basic consults and glasses is also nice. If you have complicated issues I highly recommend you take advantage of his more robust assessments and or vision therapy. Whatever he charges for any of his services, the value he offers is worth 10x that easily. If you have complicated issues you understand there are many grifters who sadly take advantage of desperate people, Dr doug is not one of these grifters. After evaluation he told me I am not a candidate for vision therapy yet, instead of just trying to sell me a treatment I do not need. If I ever do need Vision therapy though, I know where I am going. The 5 star reviews are no accident, he's the best at what he does.

Meagan helped me fall in love with what I see--because for the first time, I could actually see! I'm serious. I saw Dr. Ishi, who I seriously cannot recommend enough -- she's truly amazing. She helped me figure out that my previous experience at Costco Optical has, in fact, been totally useless and wholly inaccurate--my prescription has been off for like...10 years??? No wonder I can't see at night! Ha ha! Turns out, my bizarre and highly astigmatismed eyeballs happen to be both nearsighted and farsighted on each respective side..and thus require a certain amount of due diligence and attention--all of which I have never experienced at any other optometrist prior to coming to this place. Literally, one side of my contact prescription was off by 1.5 points or whatever they use to measure it--i mean, what?? Should I contact my car insurance to dispute any claim against any minor car accidents that I may or may not have been involved in over the past DECADE since I LITERALLY COULDN'T SEE!!!?? Dr. Ishi is incredible. Megan is a sweetheart who helped me pick glasses that not only fit, but ~*flattered*~ my large and in charge face. Because of this wonderful team, I can FINALLY see for the first time in my life. Can't recommend this place enough! 10/10. Ps; and not to be super creepy or anything...as I still don't know that deep and mysterious voice I heard but I think I'm low key in love. I seriously can't wait to go back!! The receptionist Riley, the technician April, the optometrist Dr. Ishii and the optician Megan were all very nice and patient. These ladies including the optometrist are very professional, respectful and knowledgeable. They all did a fantastic job helping me. The process was very smooth and took less than an hour. The visit was a pleasant experience and I wish I had come here for glasses earlier. I can't wait to have my new pair of glasses from Spectrum Eyecare. I was told it's going to take around 3 weeks. It's the holiday season now so it's understandable that it's taking longer than usual.
