Due to a car accident and GPS rerouting issues, I called ahead twice to explain I might be late and was told it would be fine. When I arrived, the person at the front desk (who appeared to be the owner) was rude and told me to stop explaining myself, even though I had offered to shorten my service. The treatment ended up being a brief 30-minute arm and hand massage, and the warm neck wrap smelled sour. The space itself felt run-down and uninviting. Overall, the lack of customer service and poor atmosphere make this a place I would not recommend. Regarding the neck pillow you described as "herbal," it did not have a pleasant or herbal scent like Zheng Gu Shui or Ling Nam. It smelled damp, as if it had been left in the washing machine without being properly dried. I understand that Valentine's Day is a busy time. However, professionalism and courteous communication are especially important during peak times. If you hope to retain current and future customers, I believe improving in these areas would make a meaningful difference. read more

I just had my 2nd massage at Footsie and it was even better than the 1st, which was exceptional. Fay was my masseuse for both and she is the best! Dissatisfied with the whole experience. they were late and I was rushed. Service poor. My appointment was at 10:45 for a 45-minute foot reflexology and 15 min. neck and shoulder massage. The staff did not arrive until almost 11. (Shop hours claim it is open at 10:30.) I was waiting outside, and it was cold and windy. No one apologized. We went inside, and I asked to use the bathroom. The front desk clerk I had to wait .. the bathroom had to be cleaned. I asked about the tea, and she reluctantly got me a cup. (I needed it to warm my hands.) When I went into the treatment space (small and tight), I found the toilet (barely acceptable condition), and then the attendant rushed me to the chair indicated, AND while I was still wearing my jacket, he put the neck wrap on my neck. I said "Wait, let me take my jacket off!" I lasted for the foot treatment, which was more a weak massage than any reflexology I have ever had. I started to complain to the desk person about my experience and she said, "I didn't cut short your time." I said that wasn't the point, to which she very rudely answered, "Whatever you say. Despite being a little pricier than spots in neighboring towns this is a great place for a relaxing massage. They have a smooth operation with great workers who really treat it like an experience. From the heated neck pillow, to the eye towel, and the smooth transitions for the different parts of the massage it feels like a treat. Highly recommend. read more

I skipped the foot massage as I'm not really a fan and went for the full body massage. First off the place was immaculate and all the linens towels etc smelled great. The bed itself is terrific with the 'right size' hole for American heads. I have been to other places where my chin hurt so much, it made the entire massage awful and no adjustments, added towels etc would help. Here there were no such issues I had the 1 hr massage with 'Joy'. I don't think there is a better masseuse anywhere and i have had massages on 3 continents and plenty of them. My feet get cold almost anywhere and i asked Joy if she would cover them. She covered them and tucked them in with what had to be an expensive pinkish maroonish towel. Way better than i own for sure. There was also a smaller towel used on my neck early on and i have never felt anything softer. She continued to monitor my feet temp with a simple one finger touch the whole hour, never saying a word, and adjusted things accordingly. She found EVERY aching/tight spot on my body on her own and worked them until they were better. She worked so hard-she just never stopped- I felt very guilty. At the end she does a facial and scalp/neck massage with some wonderful smelling stuff that i have no idea what it is. I'm older than water and i have never worked an hour as hard as she did-ever and i was never a slouch-never drew a free check of any kind. I can't say enough about Joy-If i lived in MT Kisco, most of my disposable income would be here. The massage was $55/hr which kinda sets things up for a $15 tip. I couldn't do it- i gave her $20 . I've tried the other similar type spots nearby but always ended up coming back here. The first thing you need to know is this place is a no frills-nothing fancy type of place. To their credit, their hours / availability make it easy to fit into a variety of busy schedules and their prices make getting a massage very affordable but you get what you pay for (which I'll get to later in this review). If you go for foot reflexology (which is a foot massage at best), they put you in a comfortable reclined chair, soak your feet with warm water, cover your body with a towel and cover your eyes with a small towel. It's very relaxing but there is a chance you may hear the person on either side of you because the chairs are divided with curtains. If you go for a massage, you do get a little more privacy as the massage tables are divided by sectional partitions however you may again hear the person on either side of you. To further specify what I meant by saying you get what you pay for, quality varies more by who's performing your massage rather than your preference. Every time I've been here, I've gotten somebody different, therefore I've had some massages to be forgotten about which can be justified due to their low prices. I don't know where the employees are licensed through or if they are at all - which is shady. If you've ever been to a real spa and had a real massage or foot reflexology, I'm sure you're familiar with measures taken upon your first visit - which is dangerous. In conclusion, it's hit or miss with this place and you're going at your own risk. read more

I found Footsie here on Yelp, and I'm not going to lie, I was a little bit skeptical to come here. Between the really low prices and 4 and 5 star reviews, this place has to be too good to be true, right? But they had a Yelp deal ($10 for $20 of service) and I needed some relaxation, so I figured, what the heck, I'll give it a go. I'm glad I did. I had a 60 minute Swedish massage and 30 minute facial. When I walked in, I was greeted by two friendly people at the Front Desk and was quickly taken into the back room, which is dimly lit and very quiet. You will see a bunch of reflexologists working on people when you go back there. I was taken to a small private room for my massage and facial. Both were very pleasant and I felt very relaxed afterwards. Definitely enjoyable. I will say that this is a 'no frills' kind of place. The rooms are divided by curtains, not solid walls, so you can sometimes hear people moving around or talking quietly outside your door. My experience was mostly quiet with calming spa music until the last ten minutes when I heard people talking. You probably won't get the highly individualized treatment here that you might get at a fancier (much more expensive) spa. The therapist comes in and starts right away. They didn't ask if anything was bothering me or if they should focus on any areas in particular, etc., so this might not be for the more sensitive people. That didn't bother me. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will be back! For someone who cannot afford the full on expense of a massage at a typical day spa, this place was great. They have a really full menu with a lot of different options. I will be back many many more times and look forward to trying their reflexology treatments next! read more

The moment that I walk in, I know I come to the right place, the ambiance; price.. don't know what else to say, I just fall in sleep right the way with her magic hands. I forgot when's the last time I fall in sleep during massage.. It's actually 5 stars but I haven't try other service yet. definitely come again! they still have the $5 saving if u spend 1 hour service, I only pay $35/hour for reflexology. We walked in exactly 15 minutes after that phone call and they turned us away. I had had so called reflexology in the past at high cost spas and it wasnt much of anything. I spend a large portion of my day on my feet and often go here last minute. What I love about Footsie is their hours and I am able to go there and relax. They had a write up in the local paper and were voted one of the best spas by a local magazine so I figured I had to give them a try. I went with my Mom and it was the best thing ever! You walked in and were greeted by the pleasant manager and her husband they own the place and a few others in the city and Brooklyn. They said many Americans are apprehensive because they assume spas like this are fronts lol. They explained that they all had training in China about reflexology and explained to me and my Mom the various services. You walk back to this room that is dimly lit with rows and rows of comfortable chairs, in which you lie down on. If youare wearing glasses you immediately get a towel to place over your eyes and its instant relaxation. If I am having a stressful day or am exahusted I go here. This is what I reccomend getting there 1. The thiry minute reflexology for 28.00 great if you need just a quick break 2. The 60 minute 40.00 relflexology its so amazing 3. The 90 minute reflexology with hot stone If you add hot stone to the mix its another 5.00 I really love the 90 minute relflexology and body work its fantastic HIGHLY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! read more

I got the hot stone massage and I was okay. I've had massages before, but you get what you pay for here. There are no individual rooms so you and the person next to you are separated by a sheet. It was louder than I expected and definitely weird listening to the man next to me get his massage. If you're looking for more of a wholesome experience go to a spa instead. read more

Very courteous staff, very clean and relaxing environment. I got the 60 min foot reflexology. The environment is tranquil, but the nature of the business means there are other customers nearby, divided by curtains. For the most part this is fine, although when I first got there I was seated next to a groaner. Weird. Thankfully, he left toward the beginning of my session. The massage itself was excellent.
