Talk about treating customers right! I bought out all the duchess cookies they had on display and not only did they give me a discount, but they gave me a free drink as well. I was so surprised and the fact that he didn't even think twice about it made me realize that they must do this all the time, as in they understand what it means to take care of their customers. I had a iced soy matcha latte and i've never seen a "coffee shop" take such care and put so much attention to making things right than they do here. They whisked matcha the way it should be done and you can definitely taste the difference. Needless to say, I'll 100% be back and will definitely recommend this place to everyone I know. While I do love the Chai Latte, coffee and baked goods, I simply can't enjoy a meal here anymore. First, when your food is ready, it sits on the counter for a while and customers that are at the bar picking up coffee/food are standing or sitting right in front of it. Customers lean over it to grab drinks. I've witnessed a women sneeze right over 3 items sitting on the counter. I witnessed people pointing and even smelling plates. I just don't understand how that's the best place for the food to wait before going to customers. Prior to noticing this, I tried a few of the sandwiches and salads for lunch. They were good but the arugula salad that comes with them is always half dead and needs more love. If you order an actual salad meal, the lettuce is better quality. Order to go or get baked goods. This has become one of my favorite cafes for a few years now. I recently went by to get my usual Freddo Cappuccino. I walked in and greeted the lady behind the register twice and I didn't receive a response. Very odd. (A customer walked in behind me and received the warmest welcome) All of the staff are typically very nice and helpful. I ordered a Freddo Cappuccino and it was not made correctly at all, I ordered a few times online and I thought the ice melted or something but I am now aware the drink is not being properly made. I rave to anyone who will listen about how amazing the Freddo Cappuccino is and lately I have been so disappointed. Please fix this issue. Besides the fact that he was very nice to me after giving him a bad review, the food was on point. The mermaid bowl not only looked beautiful, it also tasted super fresh and unique. I've tried a lot of similar products at specialized places, but this one was very fluffy and worked well with the toppings. The famous for five cookie was spot on as well! I usually hate the crust of a cookie, but this one was goey and buttery, nice and warm. I loved it! The coffee and customer service was so good here, I finished both an oat latte and cappuccino during my stay. If you took the music from Zara and put it in a upscale coffee shop with very good cookies, you basically get For Five. If you haven't used Oat Milk, definitely give it a try here as they use Oatly which is the best quality of Oat Milk (try it with a latte or cappuccino). Definitely try their cookies, the chocolate chip cookie is huge but moist and the kind where you want to dunk in your drink and take a bite. The cookie is definitely shareable for two. I was able to work here for a couple of hours and the Wi-Fi was fast and reliable while sitting on the bar chairs. The bathroom is also very clean which is always a plus. I came here for an iced Freddi cappuccino that I requested be extra sweet but was told that they don't have liquid sugar so they ended up using packets of sugar which I thought was interesting. The Freddie Capp was mediocre and the layout of the place is weird and honestly confusing. I didn't get a chance to try their savory foods but I must say it did look very delicious! Prices are too high... the coffee is nice but not worth $10.27 for an iced decaf vanilla latte with oat milk. Apparently there is an up charge for decaf too. Weird I went there less than two weeks ago and got the same drink for around $7. I asked for confirmation at it was apparently now that expensive. I walked out. Still expensive but not insane .
