We usually stay in Corolla where there is not a location and I ALWAYS make it appoint to drive out to where they are. I love this place so much that at Christmas time I always order a couple bags of their Holiday blend to have back here at home in Maryland since I unfortunately do not live there. There was also a lot of comfy seating inside with a couple of nooks furnished with chairs and couches for families to sit in. Past the cafe is a market area with merchandise and wine. Each year we try one of Morning Views beans they readily have available and while we opt for whole beans they will grind yours if you want. For this week's vacation we ordered up Woodys dark blend and Bootys dark blend because we sampled these last year and they were great. The muffins are awesome and our favorite is cranberry orange....never disappoints and we highly recommend. This place is always busy early in the AM but they seem to be well staffed with experienced crews....owner always seems to be there making sure everything runs smoothly.

Great size parking lot, sounds like they get a LOT of customers based off their signs. And they do have a lot, so you know exactly what to expect. My friend got an ice cream sandwich, note she isn't a super sweets person but she really enjoyed it. She did say the cookie part of the sandwich was a bit too sugary for her personally. Every one of them loved being able to make their own decisions and create exactly what they wanted. Having worked in the service industry myself, I generally have a great deal of patience and understanding when dining out--especially in a busy vacation destination. I know that restaurants can become overwhelmed, and I rarely complain. In fact, before the evening of July 12, I had never walked out of a restaurant in the middle of a meal or complained directly to staff. Our party of five arrived around 5:30 p.m. after reading many positive reviews. We were seated immediately, and a few minutes later our server took our drink order. Three of us ordered beers, and my mother-in-law and I specifically asked if margaritas were available. We were told, without hesitation, "Yes," and our order was taken. We later discovered the restaurant doesn't even have a bar or serve liquor, meaning the drinks we ordered were never actually available. We waited...and waited...for drinks that never arrived. We asked about them multiple times and were repeatedly told they were coming. Eventually, our food was delivered before we had received a single drink. To make matters worse, we weren't given any utensils. Even after asking several times for both our drinks and silverware, nothing arrived. The food itself was unacceptable. Everything was served cold and only became colder while we waited for utensils. The final straw came when my husband's meal arrived with an ingredient he had specifically requested be left off. He politely sent it back. Less than three minutes later, the plate was returned to him, clearly the same meal with the unwanted ingredient simply picked off by hand rather than remade. I tried speaking with the staff--who appeared to be the only two employees working--and simply asked for utensils and the drinks we had ordered. I was met with blank stares and no meaningful response. There was no manager available to address the situation or assist in any way. We also weren't the only customers having problems. Another family waited an excessive amount of time for drinks for their children while a table seated after them had already received their beverages and meals. It was obvious that service throughout the restaurant was disorganized and inconsistent. At that point, we refused to eat the food. We simply wanted to pay for the three beers we had received and leave, but no one would bring us a check despite our requests. After waiting even longer, we finally left. Shortly afterward, another table also walked out, and a family waiting outside for a table decided to leave after we shared our experience. I never enjoy leaving negative reviews because I understand how difficult it is to run a small business. However, potential customers deserve to know what they may encounter. This wasn't just a slow night or an isolated mistake--it was a complete breakdown of service from beginning to end. One star is honestly too generous. This was, without question, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had.
