Well, if you want to enjoy yourself here, make sure that you get here really early in the day. If you come at...I don't even know what to call it...prime time??? Then you have a massive wait on your hands. Parking is a mess if you plan on driving here and parking. There is a lot, but it gets pretty packed at peak times. There is also street parking, but keep in mind there are homes (rental or not) around and you may need to be mindful with that. Then there is the line. It's an odd experience. Like where does the line truly start and how do you stand in it. The line continues to grow, but it doesn't feel like you are moving. I swear, when I was leaving here, I accidentally drove over an area of grass instead of the entrance to the road. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has ever done that. read more

This last time we went the staff at the register was not informed on the non dairy options and I would not have gotten what I normally did had I not asked another employee. I'm a sucker for graham cracker flavored ice cream, and it's usually so hard to find. They give a heaping scoop of ice cream in between the cookies, and deliver the cookie sandwich in a bowl with a spoon- good thing because it was overflowing , in the best way possible. Disappointed by booty treats. Went here on Tuesday around 10:15pm and they had a sign in the window saying 2-10 but on their website it says 2-11 and then Yelp says something else. Friday, this place was packed and we waited in line for about 20 minutes or so. With so much going on and it being so busy, I didn't feel comfortable ordering anything with my allergy. They only offered shaved ice which i knew would be allergy (peanut) friendly so I didn't get anything. Okay... first time here and the line was long! I was slightly worried but figured.. we may as well wait. It went super quick since they took "families" at the window. So it would be a large group going up to order. One of my children has a nut allergy, they instantly said they change their gloves and get a new ice cream tub, and have new utensils. So we ordered her a scoop of ice cream. When they brought it out they made it known this was for the nut allergy, it was in a double cup, and I grabbed the top cup. What a fun and cool place! Our friends were staying a few houses away from this place so we wanted to grab ice cream after we cooked out together. Took the kids and every person got something different. The scoops were big portions and it was what hit spot of a hot evening at the beach. They have quite a variety of ice creams and shakes. Yet another trip to Booty Treats and my tummy was delighted! The flavors danced on my tongue with an icy, creamy concoction that was nothing short of amazing. I got my flavor combo from the board that customers use to share their favorite booty treat. Mine was called the tropical fusion that combined mango pineapple watermelon shaved ice with strawberry mini-melts. It was great. The mini-melts are not only on top but they're put in throughout the dessert. This was great because you get that icy-creaminess throughout and not just in the beginning, where if you eat the mini-melts on top you're just left with shaved ice. I am going back to the Southern Shores in October and am definitely making Booty Treats a pit-stop. read more

I cannot speak to the quality of product however the customer service is appalling. The hours on here need to be updated. Last night we arrived at 9:10 assuming the business was open until 11 as stated here. There were many people outside so it looked open. Instead of a polite heads up of early closure, we were berated by an angry teenager who slammed the door in our face while we could hear kids inside giggling at her behavior. I also live in a beach town and completely understand the need to adjust hours out of season. Her attitude was abysmal and instead drove us to be customers at holy cow. 6/29/20 Back on 6/26/20 we decided we wanted to try out some of these Booty Treats. From what I saw when we walked up to the restaurant, there were a lot of asses in line waiting for their Booty Treats. The line was long enough, but got longer as we were waiting. Many people were not wearing masks. Many people were not following the six feet distance. Luckily the people in front of us were six feet away, and we kept it that way as best we could. The store itself was not open to clients and the staff members were working hard on collecting the various Booty Treats people were ordering. Also, from what I saw, the outfits of the staff were Booty Tight as well. Go figure. The person we ordered the icecream from has the look on her face that said..."Why am I here?" Once payment was taken, the order was slid down to the Booty Treat Makers. Many different treats can be made, but only the best Booty Treats are given out. Its their duty to please that booty...so I have heard. The cooking and cream icecream was delicious. Almost every time I have this flavor it is good. Butterscotch makes this treat ev er n better. Bottom Line: Super friendly staff and decadent treats. Surprisingly I had never been to Booty Treats until last weekend. We were the only ones in there and received a friendly greeting and a very helpful explanation of the menu. I went all in and got one of their specialties - an ice cream cookie sandwich which was huge and decadent. The cookie was a homemade chocolate chip cookie and I had Better Brownie Batter ice cream inside. I definitely recommend splitting the cookie sandwich or saving half for later. My husband kept it simple with two scoops of Cookies 'N Cream ice cream. Booty Treats serves Hershey's brand ice cream - a creamery founded over 100 years ago in Lancaster, PA. Hershey's Creamery, which is not affiliated with the chocolate company, prides itself in making a quality product and I can taste the difference. Booty Treats probably has about ten popular flavors from which to choose. On a beautiful Sunday October day we enjoyed sitting outside at the picnic tables. Soon, even in the shoulder season/off season, we were in good company with other patrons who where drawn to Booty Treats. I can see where Booty Treats could become habit forming! read more

Despite standing in line on a Sunday evening at 10:30pm and truly not having high expectations, I must admit that we are pleasantly surprised and will return. Had the preconceived notion that this place was more or less a tourist trap and the coolers inside bearing "Hershey's Ice Cream" was indeed part of the initial turn off. However, was extremely surprised and enjoyed the treats we ordered. Highly recommend the shaved ice with booty melts and the banana pudding dessert is amazing!!! If you like the old fashioned banana pudding dessert, you will thoroughly enjoy this ice cream. Although there is little room to enjoy your booty treats inside, there are plenty of tables outside. Management may want to check the outdoor tables a bit more often though, as spilled ice cream was all over the place and caused great pause before sitting. read more
