I had a chip on my windshield a couple of days ago about the diameter of a dime. I called my insurance to start a claim. I gave Force Auto Glass's name as my choice of repair shop. The claim was opened and my claim information was emailed to the shop. I then called the shop within minutes. Not sure if the person who answered was the owner. I requested repair service, and he requested I send him pictures of the chip via text message. I took 2 pictures, one from inside and another from outside; the one from outside next to a dime in order to provide context. I sent the pictures, then called the shop. The same guy answered and started to give me the runaround saying, "yeah, it can be repaired, but it's best to go through Safelight," outright refusing service. I said, "I don't want to use Safelight, I see you have good reviews, so I want to use your services." He then said, "well the thing is the machine that I have to do repairs doesn't work right, I don't want to mess up your windshield." I told him, "don't worry about that, if I don't like it, my insurance will pay for the repair." Long story short, this guy refused to repair my windshield, and immediately jumped into upsell mode, saying: "I can replace your windshield." I had explained to him twice that my insurance wants me to repair the windshield, and if it isn't to my liking, they will pay to replace it; either way, he's getting paid. I had a similar experience from another glass shop. I believe the reason is my car make and model. It's a BMW. Seems to be a thing in the auto glass repair/replacement industry: when they find out the car is a luxury class vehicle, they enter upsell mode, and won't do the repair, because the profit margins are much higher for replacement than it is for repair. I told the guy, "just to let you know, this is going to cost you on Yelp." He started to mumble something, but by this time I had had enough, so I cut him off saying: "goodbye" and hung up. I had a busted rear passenger mirror. I called them on a Saturday am and arranged for the replacement and install the same day with Eric. Eric was so kind, courteous, and professional. He also came to my residence and did the install. I was vacuuming the glass as he arrived and he had brought his high powered machine and told me he could do that. When he was finished, I checked my car and other parts of the car without glass shards had been vaccuumed (i.e. the front seats!). His work took about 30 to 40 minutes and he explained everything in the process. I highly recommend this business's services. I would give them 10 stars if possible! After having my car window broken for the THIRD time since moving to DC 7 years ago, I had made an appointment with Safelite in Arlington. However, when reading the yelp reviews, which were poor, and combined with the inconvenience of driving out to arlington, i called Force Auto Glass! They quoted me a much lower price AND would come to my house. Eric was super professional and prompt, and, according to my boyfriend who met him at the house,he was super nice and competent. I actually have another window thats broken, and will eventually use Force Auto Glass to fix it, but just dont really wanna spend the money now. #Cheapo! read more

Thank you Yelp! As a local business owner, I needed a repair "like yesterday " and feared it wouldn't happen since the window is not a common window, but I called Force Auto Glass and got Eric. Explained to him what I needed and he said that he would call around and call me back, but if he could get the window he would be out TODAY between 3-4. While parking my car in the garage next door to my office at 6:30 am this morning, the back window on my minivan shattered. I called a couple of mobile windshield replacement companies and one told me the next appointment they had was next week. Next week?! There was no way I could even drive home today. Eric at Force Auto Glass was here within a few hours andhe was very thorough and professional --making sure the back windshield wiper, automatic door opener, etc. were working properly and he vacuumed up all the broken glass - inside and outside of my car. Thumbs up for this place. Customer Service is excellent. I had a crack in my windshield and Eric and his worker came out to my residence to replace the windshield. Unfortunately, the windshield he installed had a crack in it. I did not notice the crack until later in the day and called him right up when I saw it and he came back to take a look at it. Since I did not drive the car between him installing the windshield and when I noticed the crack, I was unsure what caused it. He said it might be a manufacturer defect. Anyway, he explained to me that he will order a new windshield and if the manufacturer does not front the cost of the new one then he will pay for it out of his own pocket so I would not have to go through insurance again. He wound up coming back a week later (could not install it sooner because the glue needed to dry from the first install) and installing a new windshield and this time everything worked out well. He even helped me to get something off my rear view mirror that was stuck. Very professional and helpful. It is nice to know someone that stands behind their work and does not run away when an issue comes up. Would recommend! read more

He was quick and responsive and showed up on a Saturday morning to fix the windshield. He comes to where you are, and is easy to get hold of. Polite, professional service and a great attitude. 4/28/2017, Eric and his trainee were knowledgeable, careful, professional and quick. He ordered the right window, considering Mercedes windshields with all the different sensors and I did not have to get those sensors re-calibrated, like the dealer told me, saved $250. They came to my house and installed, explained what they were going to do and how long it would take. Eric was also friendly and shared some good to know information about windshield manufacturers and types. I will definitely use them again!! it's hard to find good service these days, everybody wants to scam you for a few more dollars, but not these guys. Erick was able to schedule an appointment quickly, came early, and was extremely professional. His assistant was also very professional. Have had the new windshield for a couple of weeks, and it seems to be A-OK. Very happy with the service and price and glad to avoid having to go into a service shop and deal with surly men. UPDATE: Had water dripping from roof. Called Erick and he came the next morning to do a water test to make sure it wasn't the seal on the windshield, even though it was 2 years later. I recently had Eric replace my windshield that had developed a crack that spread close to halfway across my windshield. Having never had to replace a windshield before, I had many questions and called quite a few companies. Eric with Force Auto Glass was the most friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful of all the companies I called, explaining everything from how my rain sensor is attached to the differences between OEM and after-market glass for me. He provided me a quote including the tax, and the price I ended up paying was exactly the same as the quote, down to the cent. His prices were very reasonable, especially compared to the big company's prices. We scheduled for him to come to my work (for no extra charge - do not pay for mobile service!) and he arrived right on time, left my car clean except for like 2 tiny pieces of rubber which I easily removed myself, and the work looks very professional. The work was completed in less than 2 hours. It was just completed on the date of writing, so I have not driven my car yet or experienced rain since he replaced my windshield, but I feel confident in the quality of his work and confidently highly recommend! read more

My car window was smashed in 2 days before Christmas. I felt incredibly violated. I called safelite from all the tv commercials and they told me they had no availability until 2 days after Christmas meaning I would have to drive around in 30 degree temperatures and icy rain for 4 days without a car window. So I searched on yelp and found Force Auto Glass. Eric came out and within 3 hours of my initial call my car window was replaced and he vacuumed out all the shattered glass from my car. After the stone chip in my windshield started to grow a crack, I read the local reviews and called a few places. Eric at Force answered the phone, gave me an estimate and we made an appointment for later in the week. Something came up at work so I had to change the appointment to Saturday and he said, "no problem." He showed up at my house on time, entertained all my questions and did a great job. I had the same windshield replaced a few years ago by another local company. I brought my vehicle to them and waited while it was repaired to keep the price down. He came out the next afternoon and was very pleasant and friendly. He did the work very well and even vacuumed the broken glass from where someone had broken into my car. This was such a great place to me. Came out same day. I told him I needed my passenger window to be replaced by a certain time so I can go to work. He SHOWED me that my window was working perfectly fine I agreed that it was. NO PROBLEMS. Then two days later my window started making a banging noise while trying to role up. Our it would just role down automatically whenever it was being riled up. I CALLED AHEAD (not show up to the business acting like a raged customer) because I understand things may have possibly gotten loose or any of the pieces being manipulated may not have stayed like it was supposed to. All they could do was tell me my computer myte be going bad and that they showed me it was working so there is nothing they can do. As curtesy I could have got a "I can double" this is horrible business a hour later after my call with them my window just completely fell off track now I have to try and do a a more reliable source so my window doesn't just slide down while at work or parked at home. I even sent them a video of what was going on and nothing. You couldn't even tell me you'll look at it and charge me to for the labor at least. Do not go to these people. read more

They meet whatever you are, prices are the best. They met me at the location where I was in Woodbridge and took the old windshield, very fast and superb job! But I called today in the morning and not only were they significantly cheaper then safelite, they were able to come exactly when I asked them to. The tech was friendly and efficient and did a good job installing a brand new windshield for me while I worked. What more can you ask for but a no hassle window replacement job at a reasonable price? After reading through reviews about all of the other large chains and franchises I stumbled across Force Auto Glass. I had just recently purchased my Ford F-150 and wouldn't you know it, first time in years that I ended up having to deal with its windshield being cracked by a rock. With the horror stories of the big chains not standing behind the work of their franchises I decided to give Force Auto Glass a try instead since I read that they were a locally owned and family operated company figuring they were more vested in their reputation and would stand behind their work. Not all installations can be perfect as there are many factors. My installation ended up experiencing a slight leak so I called Eric to discuss it. He returned promptly within the next few days to examine it and attempted to repair the leak. Even though that attempt was unsuccessful due to all of the rain that we had and consequently needed to let everything dry thoroughly - so I covered it with a tarp for a few more days - Eric came out again and with the weather being right this time and us having taken the time together to make sure everything was thoroughly dry - he went to work again. Eric was awesome! As I said, things happen and there are a variety of factors that can make any installation a challenge. So this isn't about the installation - it's about the family at this company that stands behind their work until it's completely done and to your satisfaction. And, by the way, that means with no additional charges. In fact, if that last attempt still wasn't successful Eric offered to put in another brand new windshield without any additional expense for it or his labor. I would call on Eric again in a heartbeat! I hope you decide to also. If not, then good luck with whomever else you might decide to take a gamble on.
