I have been to this location 3 times, and been satisfied every time. Twice it was to have minor work done on my aging car. They were very clear about estimates, and they did not overcharge labor. Once we had to have a car towed here that had been in an accident. They were very clear about the process that would follow; a Geico adjustor was there on Monday as they expected to make an assessment. They have ongoing relationships with insurance reps, which made the process quite smooth. It is a small office and lots of cars out in front, and it may look a bit disorganized, but they have it together. I trust these folks - recommend them. read more

If your thinking about bringing your car here, please DON'T the manager EDDIE will prioritize dealerships car and will leave your car for last. They will tell you that your car is being worked on or that they either waiting on parts when they even haven't touch or order parts for your car. And if you don't believe it, go try it yourself and you'll be disappointed on how long they'll have your car there. Don't believe anything the front desk lady's say about your car being worked on, go look at it for yourself. I will save you time and money. Your welcome. read more

My Subaru was involved in a minor accident and I took it to Beyer Collision Center to get the damages repaired. I was dealing with the other person's insurance and usually it's a lot of back and forth but Amy made the process seamless. They had to keep my car a couple of days longer due to additional damages they found that the appraiser didn't. I didn't even have to get in contact with the other insurance company because Beyer took care of that. I got my car back today and it looks as if nothing ever happened to it. They even cleaned the inside of my car! Very impressed with this body shop and I highly recommend their services! read more

BAD WORK, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beyer Collision fails in every category of business. Took my daughter's 1999 Nissan Sentra, to repair damage from an accident. Paint on the hood doesn't match the bump nor the fender. Took them three weeks just to get the correct parts. Paint job is horrible. They never called me to provide an update on the repairs, I had to call them every time, and they often had no idea what I was calling about. No documents to show the work they performed, they said they sent it to the insurance company, but they lied. Tried calling them back, as did the insurance company, they would not return our messages. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! read more

I had a guy hit my car (2016 Subaru Outback Limited, 1 yr old), and it took a couple of days- but his insurance finally agreed to pay. Inspection showed at least $2400, but the supplements took it to $4500. Beyer did a good job of working with the insurance company to ensure everything was properly repaired, including a replacement tire, hub and brackets. The finish looks great, and matches the rest of the car perfectly. And I paid nothing out of pocket. But... their communication and speed are not so good. I had to repeatedly call and call to get information, and it took about a month to get my car back. The job was worth it, and I had a rental... and they do offer a lifetime warranty on their work- but I always had to be calling them. A number of times I'd get "we don't know how long parts will take"... which continued up to the last week of repairs. Also, I wanted to get a couple of scratches elsewhere on the car buffed out - had called- and was pretty much ignored on that request, even though I was told they'd get back to me. Which is too bad, because I said I'd pay separately for that- but now I will just go elsewhere for that service. Overall, I am very pleased and would go back to them again, and would recommend them to anyone... but I think I'd also check around too. I'd be very likely to go back... but I'd have thought an occasional call or email was better than nothing. read more

A trusted local mechanic told me this was the place to come to for bodywork. I hit the driver side fender of my black Windstar, literally ripping a chunk of sheet metal off it. I opted for a genuine Ford part (aftermarket parts were available, but mechanic stated the genuine part would be a better fit) and had it installed and painted by Potomac Motors. That was three years ago and I have to say it still looks like the day I got it back, in one word, perfect. And the vehicle is parked outside. You would never know anything had happened to it, the job was and continues to be that good. Not "cheap," but not overpriced either, if you really need it done right (and why not?), this is definitely the place. I will be back if I ever need any kind of bodywork or painting. read more

This has to be the ABSOLUTE WORST body shop in the area. I was involved in a minor fender bender in my 2006 Land Rover. I only wanted a repair shop that handled Land Rovers. I contacted Land Rover in Alexandria and was referred to Beyer Collision. When I drove the vehicle in, I was asked by the receptionist if I needed rental car drop off. I stated that it depended on how long they would be working on the vehicle. They said since it was Friday, they would call on Monday with an estimate on how long it may take. I received no calls. I waited 3 weeks and called Beyer. They said they were awaiting a part they ordered. They also said they had spoken to Geico and requested supplemental funding to cover additional damages not included in the estimate. They never informed us of any of this. A week later we called again, they informed us that the vehicle was ready and said they were just waiting to have it washed at the car wash next door. Upon picking up the vehicle TWO DAYS LATER, I was informed that the wheel seemed tight. I assumed it may just need an alignment after the accident. Driving off I noted the vehicle posed a safety risk as the wheel was extremely tight. I had to use two hands and lots of strength to turn the vehicle. I also noted my sunroof no longer worked. We contacted Beyer and was told we would need to take it to Land rover and pay a diagnostic fee to determine what caused the issue with steering and the sunroof to malfunction. Land Rover had the truck for two weeks and returned with a $4k estimate!!!! They stated they were not told anything except to check the steering. We spoke to Justin and/or Justin at Beyer who was VERY rude and said it was nothing he could do. We ended up paying to get additional work done and will likely have to pay for the sunroof. Beyer is UNRELIABLE, UNRESPONSIVE, AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Buyer beware--PUN INTENDED!! read more

By far some of the best service I have ever received!! My car was recently in a hit and run accident and I chose this shop on a whim because they were an affiliate of the dealership where I purchased my car. Against the advice of my insurance company, I decided to move forward with getting the repairs done there and I couldn't be happier about it. Allen and Paul provided excellent customer service and were nothing short of professional and accommodating. I hope that I don't have to go through getting any more repairs done on my car, but if I do, they have definitely made a lifelong customer! read more

Everyone is professional, courteous and meticulous. This past time (this week) was no exception; and in fact, Eddie went over and above to make sure my car was repaired not only to his expectations, but to mine as well. One of the WORST body shop experience, ever!!! I have dealt with auto body shops before, BEYER COLLISION managed to ruin my vehicle. It went in with only 2 minor areas to be repainted and blended in. I was told that my vehicle was painted 3 times. The first time I received it, they fixed only one issue out of the two with paint over spray on it. It went back for the second time, they managed to fix it but ran into an issue where was painted for the 3rd time. When I went to pick up my vehicle, the rear bumper and the rear quarter panel was ruined. It looked like they took a portion of the rear quarter panel paint off and tried to blend it in with the new paint. Mind you that it went in only for a touch up on the tailgate and a small portion of the rear bumper cover. Now after looking over the whole vehicle, there was paint over spay on from the back to the front and even on the wheels. When I say front to back, I mean the sides, the roof, the hood, windshield, windows, and they managed to damaged some plastic trim. When I spoke to the shop manager, Jason Clifford, he was so rude to me over the phone and stated that he will not paint the vehicle again. He also stated that if he had to repaint it for the fourth time, he is not going to be responsible for any broken parts. This is not how you treat a customer when the shop was in the wrong in the first place. My vehicle had to taken to another shop and they had to repaint a portion of the rear bumper, the rear quarter panel and remove all the paint over spray that BEYER COLLISION had done. There was no apology from them, just a threat of not being responsible if they had to redo the paint job again. For this experience, I DO NOT recommend them as a 4 or 5 star body shop.... With My experience, I rate them less than a 1 star.....Yelp will not let me rate them with no stars..... read more

First let me say that Beyer recently bought this shop, they previously were Potomac AutoBody. Anyway, we were in the unique position of having 2 cars needing body work at the same time. One was due to an accident that was someone else's fault so it was covered by insurance. The other was due to a large ding we wanted to fix. My husband had been to this shop before and so we chose to go back there. They did a stupendous job. There was one glitch in that they had trouble matching the paint on one of the jobs, but they took it back and fixed it quickly. The car that had the accident looked better than before the accident!! They were very pleasant and good communicators, and stuck to the schedule, which was important to us because we were on a tight schedule. Would definitely recommend read more

We had our rear bumper repaired here after a fender bender. Beyer Collision Center failed to contact our insurance multiple times, never once called us back, and ended up having our car for weeks at a huge inconvenience to us. We had to pick up our car - finally- on a weekend (they are not open Sundays), and they still have our second key. We picked up the car over two weeks ago. My husband texted them asking them to mail the key, a week later I called and asked them to mail it. They promised they would after saying there was a "miscommunication" about our key. I would have been understanding if they had apologized, and if "miscommunication" had not been their go-to word at every previous step in the process. Miscommunication = they just didn't do it. I called again tonight to ask why they still haven't sent the key to us, and there is no answering machine after hours. That was the final straw that led me to write this review. If you value customer service, take your car and your business elsewhere. read more
