Recently on a bitterly cold Sunday morning, I went to start my car intending to run some errands…read moreand ... nothing. The dreaded dead battery. I jumped it and headed to AutoZone on Dolson Ave on the advice of a relative. I was admittedly a little skeptical they'd do more than sell me a new battery (and that I'd have to wait for a weekday to find someone to install it) but I was worrying needlessly :). A female associate whose name I regrettably didn't catch went above and beyond in both selling me the battery and installing it, right there and then. It was the easiest experience and I'm so grateful something I expected to turn into a headache ended up being barely a blip on my radar of things to get done that day. (If she sees this by any chance - thank you again! You're awesome!) I've previously visited this store to purchase items for my car, as well, and it's always neat, clean, and the associates are always polite and helpful. It's good to know we have this place nearby :)

Then Rob told me "I worry too much" on a subsequent call that I made. They never contacted me until then one month in their shop came up with a bill of $4500 when I didn't intend on paying more than $1500. Why not make it $12,000.00 or 20k? Any price they wanted. So I paid because they wouldn't give me the machine. Then the machine was returned to me. The tracks didn't work right. They came and repaired and left. Then they came back again because it was leaking still. They fixed that leak then left. It's still leaking and $2500 dollars later I have a machine that still leaks. Then they told me they didn't want to do business with me any more after coming to look at the last leak which isn't fixed. I ended up changing the transmission cooler because I noticed it only struggled to get in gear when hot. Anyways two years later same Jeep Grand Cherokee with the same trans and it shifts perfect and is still going. Maybe it was an honest mistake, what annoys me more is they performed a trans service without my permission, and when they did they striped 3 of the bolts on the pan, I am sure they used an impact gun. The pan leaks now. I don't live in NJ anymore, but I know the shop as it has been there for years. I just wanted to take the time out to write this as I thought it could be useful to others looking to get a diagnosis.
