I regret not taking my bronco to Sunrise Ford, where I purchased it from for the recalls. Oscar at Ford of Upland has had no communication with me, I have had to call him several times to find the status of my car. It was supposed to be a two day project. It has now been over a week and I still don't have my car back or know when I will be getting it back. He keeps forgetting the lies he's told about which part they're waiting on and gets caught off guard when I call him on it. Super frustrating and disappointing. Ford do better!! read more

Deeply disappointed with my experience at Ford of Upland -- and I wouldn't send anyone here without a warning. They quoted me tire prices while my vehicle was already in their possession, only to install the wrong size. Their mistake. Did they make it right on the price difference? Absolutely not. Zero accountability. To make matters worse, the add-on charges tacked onto what amounted to minimal work were nothing short of highway robbery. No transparency, no ownership of errors, and no customer service to speak of. To top all of this incompetence of.....after having my vehicle for days, they call tell me it's ready then ask if I want them to keep it even longer to do the open recalls. You can't make this shit up. Save yourself the headache and make the drive to Ford in Huntington Beach, it's worth every mile to be treated like your business actually matters. read more

Update: Spoke to a manager on 5/22, he was hostile, attempted to gaslight me and refused to repair the recall. I spoke to NHTSA they stated that regardless if a repair was done prior Ford and the dealer are responsible for repair again at no charge regardless of how long the interval. They are in violation of NHTSA law. Manager told me that he didn't care since I am not coming back anyway. Very rude person. Refused to even provide the part for repair or even the repair. I have filed a complaint with NHTSA and BAR and will be filing suit against both Ford of Upland and Ford Motor Company if an acceptable solution is not proposed. A shit dealer filled with service department scammers. I've now dealt with these people on several occasions the most recent one is the worst. They can't get repairs right, like on my mom's Lincoln Continental which had the oil pan replaced and it still leaks and we will be taking elsewhere. During that situation all sorts of odd behavior was present at Ford of Upland, such as attempting to have my mom pay more for the repair outside of the deductible (this is a common scam) But the most recent was my Lincoln MKZ which had a recall in 2022. That recall called for the replacement of the ABS pump. Instead they did the minimal which was replace the fluid. Now under 10k miles later this pump has all the symptoms of the recall. I called Ford of Upland and Oscar in the service department stated that I should bring in the car and pay their diagnostic fee a whopping $275. The car was already diagnosed at a reliable local mechanic who they actually have a relationship with. Ford of upland touts mobile service but they refused to send someone to verify what was going on though it is five minutes away. But the kicker is that he knew all along that they would refuse the repair stating that it was outside of warranty! Recalls are an entirely different thing outside of all warranties (check the law). When there is a botched recall repair the dealer is responsible. So is the manufacturer. I contacted Ford and put in a complaint, I also plan on taking Ford of Upland to small claims and placing a complaint on the BBB if this isn't made right (supply the part). I've attempted to reach their manager and all I get is a message machine. Avoid this place. They aren't honest and can't do repairs. read more

I called and spoke with Matthew, I told him that had an offer with carvana and I didn't want to come in unless he matched or beat the offer. I also had proof of the offer. Matthew said he could at least match it. I arrived 15 minutes later, was asked to wait in the lounge while the sales manager looked at it. He didn't even leave his seat. It has been back for service and repair multiple times, but when I called to sat up service again, I was informed that they have been recently purchased and no longer provide rental vehicles while your car is under repair (despite an extended warranty). They reached out to me and wanted to schedule a recall repair on my vehicle. I told them that it would work perfectly as I have two minor warranty repairs to be done as well. Parts for the warranty were ordered back in January. They said no problem, they can get it all done at the same time. Two weeks pass and appointment day. I arrive at 10am as scheduled. They told me, oh we still need to check to see if we can do the warranty repairs. I told that that's the whole reason I made this appointment. I asked how long they will need my vehicle, they said all day since they will be doing the recall and warranty work. They said they would keep me informed if anything. 3pm, text from them saying they are working on the car now, but they aren't going to do the warranty work because they can't find the parts they ordered... I'm livid... 4pm comes around, figured they would almost be done, followed up, they said they just finished. Went to pick up the vehicle, not even one apology and they acted like they did me a favor. Kept my vehicle 7 hours just to install two plastic snap on clips for the front seat belts.... Are you kidding? That work should have taken 10 minutes max.... I don't expect Mercedes level of service, since we are talking ford here, but wow... makes me think twice about ever buying a ford. I will never do business with this place again. After having 3 brand new pair of designer sunglasses stolen out of our vehicle while being worked on and complaining to management about it they have now put us on a do not work on list. They made some repairs to our soft top and now it's leaking. Very poor customer service, from the service department. I strongly recommend not using them! Poor on communication. Poor on trying to resolve issues after the "repair" is "done." I'm still trying to get my wife's vehicle fixed after some warranty work. They only have a tech to work on your vehicle but is somehow on leave but works in the AM. Which is convenient around my schedule because they take 3-4 days to look at your vehicle. And won't give you a loaner till they look at it and confirm the issue. So hopefully you have a spare vehicle or willing to pay out of pocket while they sit on your car to finally look at it 3-4 days later. Please stay away from this dealer! Service advisor give you attitude along with the techs when you call them out on an issue. Communication is very poor, I'm not sure they know what it is.... read more

Bought a truck here from Taylor last year and he always acts like you're an inconvenience. I finally got my truck eight months after the promised date and it didn't have all the add-ons I already paid for at that point. Communication was non existent. It was the complete opposite of my 1st experience there getting an oil change there..i was constantly getting updates. This time I had to pay out of pocket to take an uber there right before they closed as I either needed my vehicle back or a loaner. When I arrived I found out that my vehicle needed parts to be ordered and was given a loaner. I had left several messages in the span of 6 hours to the point the receptionist knew me by voice. I not only had to cancel my appointment at the court house that took 3 weeks to get. I also had to drive almost 100 miles vs 13 to pick up daughter because of the lack of communication by the tech. Had I not taken the incentive to Uber there and arrive at 5:45pm. Not only would I not have a vehicle to go pick up my daughter and drive her around on the weekend.. I would not have been able to work the entire weekend as my tools are in the back of my vehicle..I thought Villa ford was bad. This one takes the cake. As it seems they dont know how to prioritize keep order when they get busy. Tech told me my vehicle had been inspected before noon. A simple phone call would of had me thefe in 15 min. Had a loaner and not missed my appointment and picking up daughter.. today is monday afternoon 3 days later and I still have not received an update on my vehicle nor an apology for any one of my voice mails I have left. I will have to find another place even if its not convenient to drive to. Extremely disappointed in Upland Ford. read more

Really bad experience with the service department as only the original service writer can answer questions. If someone calls the dealer the writer may not be available by phone and it takes hours to get a response - in my case the response was "I don't know why you called....". Of course I was asking for status of the vehicle I left for service! She also said that she didn't have time to return the call because as customer service she was busy helping customers. During all this I thought that I was also a customer, so apparently we only get helped if we show up in person. When I picked up the vehicle the check engine light was illuminated so I drove it back to the dealer and asked how they could release a vehicle in this condition. When I got there a different service rep told me "we don't do that" and I reminded him that was exactly why we were having the conversation. Then I had to wait until the original service writer was available and she initially said that if I drove it for a while the computer would reset and the light would go off. I asked her to put it in writing as I did not want to see a catastrophic failure but she said that was not possible. After that she told me this happened because I rushed the service tech - even though she contacted me and said it was ready for pickup. Finally someone from the service department came over and took the vehicle back, 45 minutes of standing around later it was once again ready for me, check engine light was off. read more

Man every time I have had an experience with this company- office and place of business it's been negative. First I have always had bad experience with service department. I have taken my car several times for recalls and even been provided rental cars, which you think would be nice. However every time I went in for a new recall they said no recall was done previously. Fast forward to oct 2023 car literally stopped in the middle of driving. With my child in it. Very scary. I literally couldn't even open the door or put hazards on. Took it in and once again they said no recalls were ever done and it was a bad batter. Fast forward again to 2025, got a recall notice for the issue I experienced down to the T. I called ford of upland immediately they did put me on a list for priority to fix it. I stated I don't feel safe driving my car cause I have 2 infants and don't want to experience this all over again. I asked for a rental. They said they had no idea when parts were to come in so I needed to call corporate. Called corporate and asked for a rental. They said no. The paperwork for the recall literally says car can stop when driving and prevent hazards from work and is an increased risk for a crash. I explained the events I experienced - and was stuck on the side of the ride having to run across the street with a one year old at the time-and asked for a rental because I was scared to drive and felt unsafe and they said no matter what I did I would not be able to get a rental. I asked who else I can talk to and they literally told me there was no one to talk to and regardless that the paperwork says you could crash that I would not be able to get a rental and said sorry she gets it because she has kids too. Needless to say, I am currently at a Toyota dealership and turning in my ford for something that is safe. I will never purchase a Ford. For those wondering it was a bronco sport. Recently, my little sister was trying to decide between a Bronco and a 4Runner, so we decided to check out Ford of Upland since she was particularly interested in the found-on-road-dead Bronco. She had already test-driven them and knew exactly what she wanted, but as her cosigner, I didn't know much about the Bronco and wanted to see it up close and test-drive it before choosing it over the tried and true 4Runner. When she arrived at the dealership, my sister had only been there for five minutes and was already being asked for her ID and about her credit ( I arrived about 5 minutes after her). I was surprised and told the salesman that we hadn't even looked at any cars yet and that he shouldn't be trying to run her credit. However, he was insistent and said that he didn't want to waste his time or hers. When he asked about my credit, I refused to answer and he refused to show us any cars. So we left and went to Toyota of San Bernardino where we received excellent service. We were able to test drive any car on their lot, talked numbers, and my sister was even able to get approved for a brand new 4Runner without needing a cosigner. Took a 2019 F150 in for a front Camera Malfunction under Fords blue certified warranty. Long story short, they said the camera malfunction is because the truck has a leveling kit unknown to me. Thats how Ford sold me the truck. They didnt fix it. They kept the truck for nearly 2 weeks sitting in a dirt lot before telling me this. Manny my service advisor would text me saying he would get back to me on updates on my truck and never followed up. So basically they kept my truck parked in a dirt lot for 2 weeks before telling me to come get it and acted like they were doing me a favor by not charging me. Don't understand why it took so long to tell me this. I understand they are probably busy but the return time was ridiculous. read more
